Today it was 14 degrees in AL..at the airport...and I was there taking grandma there for her flight back home to FL. I've never been so cold in my life!!! I am a Floridian...born and raised there (I have only moved to AL to be close to my father who was diagnoised with terminal cancer ...on my ds bday no less. ) I never thought I'd leave the warmth of FL. I know it is warm here in AL too...but this is just nuts!! The least it could do is snow if it is this cold so I can finally see snow!!!

Don't you just love the weather? Two hours north of you the high was struggling to reach 37 and the low tonight is supposed to be 12 I think. If it's going to be this cold there needs to be snow on the ground so I can stay home.

I bought my daughter the new Celine CD for Christmas. I'm a big fan, but quite frankly, we really don't care for this one too much. Plus, she looks hideous on the CD cover. I don't know what she was thinking with that very weird make-up....she is much prettier than that.

Jenn, what are you going to be wearing on race day? I want to know so I can spot you. I'll be cheering just past the Poly and then again at the finish. I'll have on my green WISH shirt. You and your lady friends, please take care of John!

Jeanneg at first listen we did not care for it either but trust me it Grows on you track 4 and track 12 are a couple of our favorites!

We saw Celine the First time she ever played in the US at a small college aud, and have been to Many shows of hers!
We even went to Montreal on NYE 2000 to see her last public show, It was in French!!!
who would have thought!
we still had a Grand time in the front row!

ps: we will see her opening night of her new US tour that starts in Boston...

Alexa- just turned 18 at time of sailing

This will be our 5th Disney Cruise!!

Special occassion, daughter and nephew will graduate HS the week prior to the cruise and my sister Mary will have a birthday on May 24th!

Also on board with us (different cabins) but you don't need to post on the the list really since they are not dis-ers: (I keep them updated on everything on the DIS board! )

Justin- my 18 yr old nephew from Junction City, KS
My oldest sister Julie from Pleasanton, CA
Another sister Mary and her partner Cassy from Gardner, KS and their son Will who will be 8 at time of sailing!
This will be everyone's 5th cruise except the nephew, this is his FIRST cruise!!

I called dvc 4 times today to check to see if someone has canceled a 1 bedroom or if a studio for the night of the 11th at the boardwalk has become available, since i got a good deal on air, i invited a friend, and lets just say a studio will be to small for the 3 of us!
would love it if they just said yes Peter we can upgrade you to a 1BR for the 11th thru 14th no problem!
even a 2 or another studio will do.
got the night of the 10th for my friend & I no problem!
but jenn will come in on the 11th

I am just getting a studio for the night of the 11th at Boardwalk!
ok breathe one night at a time

will call back again later ok 2 more nights and all will be good! 12 & 13
was able to book Red Carpet Inn in St. Augustine fl. for night of 14th
cheap and dirty, like the guys like 50 bucks, close to airport so i can fly out early in AM.....
45 bucks if i can find the right card!



Oh my something else just popped up on her screen, she is now checking for the other 2 nights!

ok she got us into a 1 bedroom for the night of the 13th!

oh except for the cake i am suppose to go out and get and the dinner i have to make and I suppose the Girlies would like a walk around the Block!

This Katie girl is one of the best DVC agents i have dealt with in a while!

Was also able to save Jenn & the 3 girls coming with her, $30 bucks each on there Air, SW had a sale and I canceled and reboooked them at the lower rates! 119 down to 89 and 99 down to 89

I consider myself the king of last minute reservations.... thru dvc the trick is to call every hour!
inventory is always changing!
Yesterday Nothing today I am all set!
I also know that they will keep us in the same room the whole time!
no moving!
they will get it all worked out!

last time i had standard view PV PV and standard view... or something like that!

Never moved!

Was like getting an upgrade!

Good look to all of those in the 1/2 and full marathon.
That would be a cool thing to do. Maybe next year for me.
Bad training habits prevented me from doing it this year.

Well as many of you know Jenn & the other girls from Work, Including Dr. Kevin Mooney, who is the Boss.

Have taken on the 1/2 marathon.
This started out as Fun for the Bunch of them
Jenn, has made sure that each and every person has a DVC room to stay in!
@ the Boardwalk!

Along the way it has turned into a way for them to raise Money for Boys & Girls Club of Woburn, Ma.

The Girls at the office have, posted on the big board @ the office asking for there support!

Well, they have raised over $2500.00 for the Cause!
Each Girl recieves donations from there Patients !
Hence, a little contest has emerged!
Who can raise the most!

This is where you come in!

They know, that Jenn is the Disney Queen! Yes, Everything Disney!
(she has helped more people in that office plan trips or Save money on a Disney trip!)

They, also know of her Wacky Friends on the DIS, I think that the fact that Jenn will see about 50 to 100 other Disers (That she knows, im sure she will meet others!) during her walk is Great!

The other Girls will be like who is that, and Jenn will explain, oh Just a Friend I have Cruised with (insert amount of times here) or Met at The World!

The Dis is a very powerful Thing!

ok, If Jenn knew, I was doing this, she would Kill me!

Wow, what a day yesterday!

Started aound noon, with the 3 year old birthday party.
Can you guess, what we got her for a present? great Italian Food!


Then we headed over to me Moms house! for Family Christmas!
Was the first time we could all get together! due to Schedules and so on.

Followed by Jenn's Holiday Work Party!
This was a Catered affair!
Good Eats..
Tell me why at 12:45 was i eating shrimp cocktail! :rotfl2
@ the Doc's house, Lets see there was the Wii bowl off and Guitar hero and so on!

Along with the Yankee Swap! Jenn got Number 1 actually I got it and traded with the number she had picked 11
(still yielded a DD gift card)

Value of the swap was $20.00 per gift!
One of the Gifts was lovely photo of the 3 Doctor's, in a nice frame!

Something said ~ you know there has got to be more to it than that!
Jenn, was right, as she selected the photo as her final gift, upon opening the back of the frame, was a Crisp New Hundred Dollar Bill!
Yes, ready for spending in Florida! in 5 wakes up for her and 3 for me!


Some of the other Girls had the same Idea as Jenn, and opened the photo frame before the end of the swap, inserted there was a note that read CHEATER! Seems the DR's PA was holding the bill!

As she thought this sort of thing may happen!
As a matter of Fact She Confirmed Jenn's thoughts, before selection of the final Gift!
Why because She likes Jenn!
She is one of the Fav's around the office!
why ~~~ for those of you have not met her ~~ you will see!
but trust me there is not a bad bone in her Body!
in Jenn's High school yearbook, Jenn was left a bad day from the Senior class!

Im sorry, it just does not happen!

In just minutes from now! Jenn's girls will arrive and the Sunday morning training walk will begin!

Not sure of the length today, but, it is not too bad out there!
they all fear the BUS of shame at the World!

That is the bus that comes around and snatches the slower Marathoners,
Around here i am the bus driver!

Services have not been needed, but im here in the event of an emergency!
Jenn has Nextel, and she can Beep me if something was to happen to one of her Girls!
To date they have found about 6 Bucks!
on there training route! 1 penny at a time!
That will be used for the victory Martini! that is one sip each for the 5 of them!
