Hi

We are from the UK and booked a two week visit to WDW from 21st May. We have since realised that this includes a US Public Holiday (and a busy one it appears!!!)

Can you let us know just how crowded it will be? I have been several times at the end of October and once at end of April and was fairly quiet. We are going with a large party of 14 of us and I am already thinking we have made a mistake picking this time. :worried:

The rest of my party have never been and it would be sad if they missed out because of the crowds. We are DVC owners and will obviously come again but they may not.

Hi Mark and Sue! DD and I will be there for part of that time, but I don't know how many others will.

One thing that is in our favor regarding crowds is that many US schools are still in session at the end of May/beginning of June. Memorial Day is celebrated the last Monday in May, but that should only bring out the locals. A three-day weekend is too short to fully experience WDW, and most parents won't take their children out of school so close to the end of the school year (at least I hope not).

Due to the Florida residents having a long weekend, however, I would try to avoid the Magic Kingdom the 3 days of Memorial Day weekend.

One more thing to consider is that the parks are typically open longer during Peak times. It may take a little longer, but your friends will still be able to see quite a lot even on a busy day if they are willing to stay until close to closing time.

I'll be there with my daughter at exactly the same time for two weeks - staying 9 days at CSR and 5 at Poly. We went at about the same time in 2003 and it was great - we just avoided the parks on MemDay weekend and MK on the first Saturday in June.

Think we will be fine up to Memorial Day Weekend.Plus with fast pass,EEH, EE,and we plan on arriving early each day.So I think we will be fine and you will be also in my opinion. :goodvibes :earsboy: :sunny:
