May 2024 WISH Thread

Woowhoo I did an indoor 5k guided YouTube workout yesterday and my watch recorded 3.4 mile in 47 mins. Today I kind of free jogged/walked along with run the impossible and my watch logged 1.6 miles in 20 mins. If I can maintain those paces while doing real running I’ll finish within the 60 mins! Not having much luck in terms of weight loss because I end up FAMISHED after these jogs.
Woowhoo the bunnies moved out of the nest. But there must be another nest near by because a bunny smaller than those from the identified nest was exploring the yard today.

Welcome to Thankful Thursday!!!

Very thankful today that I am done with work at 3pm (2 hours early) and going to get my haircut with DD for the first time…IN A YEAR!!! DH got me a gift card for Mother’s Day so it’s even FREE!!

Also thankful i will have time to make my favors for DS1 and Daughter in Laws baby shower, without being rushed! Daughter in law requested a Disney World baby shower (don’t mind if I do!!) so I am attempting to duplicate the spring caramel corn from the Main Street bakery as favors…I will update everyone with how it turns out!!

Have a blessed day everyone!!!

Sounds like a great day and great baby shower!

Today I'm thankful for my job. It's so different watching my kids start their careers and it makes me look back and be thankful for mine over the years. I hope they get as much enjoyment and work/life balance from theirs over their lifetime.

Happy Thursday everyone. Yesterday after work it wasn't raining (yay!) so, I got outside and tackled four different chores that needed to get taken care of. I'm thankful for that time and to get those chores off of the to-do list.

A couple weekends ago when the weather was so nice and I thought Spring was finally here, and I worked so hard to get the dahlias planted... well... while I was staying in the city the weather didn't stay nice and the wind destroyed all but one of the 16 dahlias. I was gutted when I got home. I've got the next batch of 16 ready to go out and this time they are going under a little greenhouse tent to be protected. So, I'm thankful I have multiple batches of dahlias started from seeds and I'm thankful for the eight dahlias that have popped up from tubers. I think there are about eight more tubers planted... so I'm not going to be short of dahlias by any means. I am thankful for the dahlia extravaganza that will be happening in my garden later this summer.

I have kind of a backhanded thankful today, but we found out last night that MIL took a fall. 🙁 I'm thankful she "only" broke her wrist and thumb, compared to a hip or worse! And I'm thankful we live close enough that I can take a casserole over for FIL (a self-proclaimed non-cook) to heat up easily.

We have clear blues skies this morning, thank you Mother Nature. This isn't predicted to continue thru the weekend tho, so I'm planning on doing yard work this afternoon to make the best of it. Then aside from finishing painting the bedroom, Saturday and Sunday are open for whatever suits my fancy.... haven't had any brilliant ideas yet.

Hooray we made it to Friday!!!!!!

What’s everyone have planned for the weekend!!??

My MIL and I went to a neighborhood yardsale this morning and did pretty well! Tomorrow we go to an even bigger one starting at 7am, but we will be wrapping up by 10am because DS1 and DDILs baby shower is tomorrow afternoon!! I am so excited!! Babysitting the rest of today and more shower prep tonight!

Sunday is church and a 4D ultrasound that DS1 and DDIL booked so the family can see baby girl! So excited!

We don't have much planned for this weekend, so we'll see if anything ends up coming up. We went to a movie last night (Ezra) and are just planning on watching the baseball games on TV tonight and tomorrow night.

I saw on Facebook that there is a Strawberry Festival in a city about an hour away from us that I'm thinking about going to in the morning. I just can't decide - sleeping in sounds good too lol! I know it would be fun though - it sounds like they have lots of vendors!

DS11 is at a sleepover so will have to find something to amuse the littles tonight.
Tomorrow is dance class and haircuts and then fireworks! We’ll be going to one of my co-workers houses for snacks and viewing from the comfort of a backyard as opposed to fighting a crowd in the park.
Sunday we may or may not go to the color run for the school. I feel like we should go but the kids already raised their money so kind of not feeling it :P
