After my innocent brush with the chipmonks and Jo's secret ordeal we were seated at out table for two. We were assigned a lovely server who had worked at HW & V for 9 years and excuse the pun was as nice as pie! She took our drinks order and told us each character comes to every table on an hours rotation. But now it was time to get some food!

The buffet was just superb. The fresh craved turkey and beef were so delicious I had to try this several times! I also enjoyed the chicken with orange , mashed potato and rolls. Jo enjoyed the much the same and some pasta and the meat offerings also. She also said how nice the turkey was.

Some characters were making their way to our table now...

What was really nice was that the characters noticed I was disabled and sat down next to me!

Jo had kind of had enough of characters for one evening... Now I realise why!

Onto sweet stuff

This is the best cookie and ice cream I ever had! Jo never seen me eat so much. Lets just say there might have been some cookies that left the HW & V and enjoyed as snacks the following day. Oh the delight when Jo got them out!

All the characters that appeared..

It was the best fun! We really enjoyed our time there. The paper placemats doubled into fold up lightsabers so you could duel at your table. That was cool.

We rolled out of there happy, full and ready to go back and rest our limbs and bellies!

We asked the server if it was the same food when not character meal she said yes, with elevator music ( I have no idea what that means ) , less hectic and much cheaper. So we are def going to go here again! CP was my favourite buffet now this one has taken over! I quite like the idea of a non character option for a quieter experience for some evenings. Like Boma. As long as that ice cream machine is going I am happy! Ok so it won't be blue but it's allll gooood!

It was the perfect end to the perfect day. We didn't make the fireworks but I knew that was never going to happen. I thanked the Lord for my lot. I was very grateful for all that happened that day. I cried. I was so full of joy.

Lasted I texted my dear friend Pam. I wanted to share it with her. We were looking forward to her arrival in only 2 days time!

thanks Pam! Yes indeed those Disney details. We were still spotting Star Wars themes leaving! Cast Members went to a lot of trouble. Well worth the $55 any day I certainly got a million dollars worth of enjoyment out of it!

yes if you go for SWW sometime Corinna you have to try this experience you and Graham would have a ball! Jo is in your neck of the woods tomorrow. At a housing conference at Manchester Exhibition Centre. Jo hopes to score a curry whilst up there. You are famous for them! She sends you good vibes she is getting the train from Euston.

thank you PIO oh I see re elevator music. That sounds nice I don't recall hearing any music in our lifts here as a rule ( elevators ) but I get the meaning now! Assuming it's not tower of terror lol..

merci. One could loose oneself in those desserts. Jo is clairvoyant she said when we go again no skipping entree and straight to dessert for 2 courses lady lol...she will rat on me to my medical team...

I think Jo is probably back by now. I am actually in Hull at the moment and I have just borrowed Graham's laptop to get online. If she is still in Manchester, our favourite Indian restaurant is Spicy Hut in Rushholme.

Saturday

After such an amazing day Friday where oh where do you go from there? Well you start by fuelling yourself with a 'spoonful of sugar' which we all know makes the medicine go down Toxic levels of sugar scored it was time to shower and face the day.

Just a little sidebar if I may... until I watched 'Saving Mr Banks' on the plane I didn't realise that the above song from Mary Poppins had a quirk in it. When singing the word 'down' the musical note actually goes up. Walt loves this addition when the music composers explain this oddity to him in the movie. I thought it was neat too and had a new respect for the song.

We still had a paper FP for the Mine Train from when it was experiencing it's teething issues dwarf size and this was burning a hole in our pockets. It was good for 3 days but then it would be like Cinderella's carriage and turn into a pumpkin. Not so useful in your pockets. We decided after a morning in DHS to head out to ride the Mine Train in the afternoon.

After second breakfast consisting of powered Donut holes which throughly amused me ( I have never seen these in the UK ) we made our way to DHS.


We had Star Tours on FP+ and also TSMM. I added something for the third FP+ because I had to but I didn't want it. I would cancel that later to free it up for others.

A quick look in Tattotine Traders and hat of the day for FB...

We made our way to TSMM and got a return time for the DAS card. Then we played this fantastic ride! Jo got best in car again and I worked my way all the way to ...beaver...lol.

Onto Star Tours. Watching some characters on stage as we went. Plenty of eye candy going on. Kids doing their Jedi training. Too cute. Characters signing and folks generally enjoying themselves.

We scanned those fabulous Magic Bands. Green light folks let's go. Guess what a different sequence! Yeah yeah yeah! Wookie planet! I couldn't believe my luck.

Full of beans we went to do TSMM again. Sorry folks but we just adore this ride!

Hungry now. Mmmm shall we make our way to MK and go to the yummy pesco bills or go to the ABC commissary again...Jo suggested I looked like I was fading let's score lunch here.

Satisfied with fuel onboard we said goodbye to DHS and left the park.

MK sure was busy. Well it was the weekend and a new ride had come alive. But we didn't mind all adds to the atmosphere! I just love being in Main Street USA!

I stop I always do. The Castle. That Castle. I adore that Castle of all the Castle's in all the parks it is my favourite. We all have them.

We rode the Mine Train again. Really enjoyed it although it is def too short a dwarf size ride and I know my eyes are inflamed but I don't see much in that Cottage at the end. But I love how smooth it is.

We rested by the pool in afternoon and went to the Longhorn in the evening ( I think I forgot my passporter and should have done an alternative journal! )


Here I am with the fabulous salad starter...

A visit to Supertarget. I got some pyjama bottoms with my little pony on which made me laugh and Jo got some sodas and and some shorts.
