May 2010 Pre-Trip Report--Bay Lake Tower, here we come! *TR link posted! 6/8*

Love the shirts! I like the idea of the matching shirts. Alas, I also have a family (DH) that does not want to be matchy matchy in the park. Whatever dude!

I hope DH decides what he wants to do soon.

Okay, so now I've gone back and read the entire thread. Well, I'll admit that I did skip through some of the comments but I read all of your trip report installments.

Let's see what all I wanted to comment on.....I know I'm going to leave something out.

You guys aren't that far from us. We are in North Louisiana and, as a matter of fact, were through Little Rock this past November on our way to Branson.

Love all of your snow day pictures. We got snow here on February 12th and I think it had been ten years since we had gotten what we call a good snow....4 inches. Our's only lasted a day and a half but we were happy to see that much!

I've been thinking of trying Earl of Sandwich this trip but our son is a super dooper pooper scooper picky eater and doesn't like sandwiches. I hear they have a pizza sandwich which I might could get him to try.

We are going to Star Wars Weekends for the first time this trip. I know absolutely nothing about Star Wars except for, you know, the basics....Chewbaca (probably spelled that wrong), Luke Skywalker, Storm Troopers and, well, that's about it. Hunter is really excited about going so I guess that means I'm excited too. I'm just worried about the crowds.

Cool Vera Bradley bag! I've been debating on whether or not I should buy a hipster for our upcoming trip. Just wondering whether or not it will be large enough should I need to throw in our ponchos.

I loved it when you said something about going to Disney all those years but then not having seen everything yet. We've gone to Disney 14 times and still find new things to do. I just hate it when somebody makes one of "those" comments...you know the ones...."Don't ya'll get tired of going to Disney World? Haven't ya'll done everything already?". Some people just don't get it.

Congrats on adding another day to your vacation. I'd take two full weeks there if I could but, alas, working in a one attorney/one paralegal law office, I can't be away that long.

I know that I've probably missed something I wanted to comment on but I can't think of them right now. Must be that 44 year old memory of mine.

 I'm realizing that I kind of replied to your reply on your PTR! About being in Branson over Thanksgiving...oh well!

We looooove Earl of Sandwich--can't be there without going! I hope you get to try it, too.

There are lots of people there for Star Wars Weekends, but it's manageable. :goodvibes Gosh, we love that too, so here's to hoping you do as well!

Thanks on the bag, & let's not mention the P word!

We get those comments, too. Those are the people I'd just rather not tell where we're going! :lmao:

Love those shirts B! I fell in love with them on Sarah's report also. :goodvibes

Don't know when your birthday is but I hope it's great! 30 isn't too bad. In a few short months I will be more than half way to 40! :scared1: I'm so ready for spring and some warmer weather. :thumbsup2

Thanks! My birthday is Monday...As I get closer & closer (like, this week!) I'm realizing that 30 is not so ugly & scary as it was before.

You and I must have been posting at the same time 'cause I totally missed your shirt/potential change of plans post. I wish I could get my family to do matching shirts or even semi-matching shirts. They think it's "too dorky".:rotfl2:

:rotfl: It might be "too dorky" one day for my family, too....I'm going to enjoy it as long as I can, though!

I saw those shirts while we were there in December. I love the idea of having everyone wear a different colored one! I may need to borrow that one..........

Thanks! And borrow away, my dear! :thumbsup2

I love the classic look of those shirts! I can't believe that it's taking so long for Luke's shirt to arrive. You'd think that with the demand, Disney would quickly pop those babies out to send them and get more people to order!

Anyway, having a different color each is cute because then you'll all match without being too matchy-matchy.

That's what I'd think, too! :confused3 Maybe there was a problem with a supplier or something else. Thanks! I don't think I could get away with matchy-matchy!

Very cute shirts!

Thanks! :goodvibes

Thanks! I am lucky that my DH doesn't mind. I think part of it is that he is just happy to be on vacation! Now, DS, on the other hand probably will not want to be doing that in a few years. Come to think of it, since his shirt hasn't come in yet, I don't think he knows our plans for these shirts. :)

He keeps telling me he's trying to decide. Poor guy, such a tough decision!

We've added a day to our vacation! I know, it's just one day, but it's one more day in Disney World!!! Why did we do this? (As if anyone would need to know why
:banana::banana::banana:

I noticed last time I was on the Undercover Tourist website they were offering 6 day tickets at the price of a 5 day ticket. That would be nice. Have any of you guys ever used them? Do you get the hard plastic tickets?

I know a few people who have used them and I have never heard anything that caused me to worry. We are thinking about using them this year. Do you get the mousesavers newsletter? The is a link in it that gets you a little discount but every $ counts. They are paper tickets coated in plastic but not hard like the KTTW. The are like flexible plastic. They used to be paper. You shouldn't have any problem getting them put on your KTTW card.

How many Mickey heads can you sneak at time, I wonder?

How big is your purse? ;)

Good thing you decided to order the t-shirts because when my parents and sister were there they had SUCH a hard time finding them! They said almost everything was XXL so when they saw some smalls they snatched them up. Sadly they couldn't find a purple one :sad2: but I got the red one instead. It is super cute...love it! :thumbsup2

Oh, and another March birthday?! Mine is a week from tomorrow (and my dad's is next Sunday and Emma's is the 15th)!

I love the shirts you picked out! We are a matchy-matchy t-shirt family...on our trip in June 2008 we all (7 of us) had matching shirts showing that we were celebrating my in-laws 30th anniversary. The pictures we got in them turned out really nice and it was cool to get attention from the cast members! We are planning on doing t-shirts again this time, as well, but we have not started planning them yet.

:bday:
Happy Early Birthday! Have fun celebrating this weekend!

Hopefully, if DH decides to switch his Richard Petty Experience, they will work with us on exchanging with tickets...

On another note, DH had to go to HD yesterday while on a job to get a ladder and stopped at the paint section for some Mickey heads. He wasn't able to get any, though. He said that as soon as he walked up to the display an associate asked if he needed any help. He tried walking away and then going back a bit later, but she kept staring at him! They must be on to us! :lmao:

Wow! Everyone is going to be wearing them... Sorry you didn't get the purple one...I'll try not to point it out later on my TR when I'm wearing it in pictures. :)

Hooray for March birthdays! :goodvibes I'm the only one in my family.

Your shirts sound cute! Can't wait to see what you come up with for this trip. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the Birthday wishes! :goodvibes

Too bad your hubby wasn't able to get some Mickey heads for you at Home Depot. We went last weekend and I picked up quite a few as I am thinking about starting my countdown calendar a bit earlier than I did last year.

Ah yes, it is too bad because we are really never close to one...Thankfully I have a wonderful DIS friend (MaryAZ) sending me some! :goodvibes

Our Home Depot is just across the street from Target so I can zip across and pick them up when I am at Target. Hunter questioned whether or not it was alright for us to get so many. I told him that we spend tens of thousands of dollars there each year (with our custom cabinetry/furniture business) so I can take as many as I want.

I so wish we'd get a Target & Home Depot that were closer than 1 hour away! Don't you feel a bit shady when you're taking them, though?

Happy Birthday!!!!

:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay:

:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes Thank you so much! It's a great day so far. Beautiful weather outside, which makes up for the fact that it's Monday & I'm 30! :lmao:

I had no idea that it's your birthday. Well....let's just see if I can pick my 44 year old self up and do a little birthday dance for ya! :cool1::banana::woohoo::yay::dance3::cheer2:

Whew! I'm tired already....let's get back to talking about the Mickey heads. I some times feel a little shady getting the paint chips but I have Hunter be my lookout just in case somebody comes over to see if they can help us. :rolleyes1

Thank you! It was a wonderful dance. :goodvibes

My kids would think that was fun!

I'm the lookout and make my kid steal them. :guilty::sad2:

Happy Birthday!:cool1:

Too funny! And thanks for the Bday wishes! :goodvibes

Does this mean we are corrupting our children in our quest for Mickey heads? Hum......naaaaah!

:lmao: My kids always want plain old paint cards from Lowe's. I can't imagine if they stood in front of all the Mickey ones and I made them grab a handful!

I hope you had a good birthday!! Fabulous weather!! And as far as I'm concerned, you're 29! ;) If I was bartender and saw you out celebrating though, I'd card you!!

I hope all is well and the weather continues to be nice!! How are those darling kids of yours doing?

:) thanks, Kimmy!

The weather was nice until a nice Thunderstorm came through last night, bringing tornadoes in its wake. :scared1: We're all safe, but DD is terrified, terrified, terrified (get the picture?) of tornadoes. My Grandmother says she must have been killed in one in a previous life. But other than that we are great! I am ready for the weekend, although most likely, it will involve too much cleaning!

Anywhoo...I'll take this opportunity to point out my ticker status for today:

2 months, 2 weeks, 2 days! :cheer2::cheer2:

Glad to hear that you are all safe. I watched the weather channel last night and saw that they were tornado watches and warnings out your way. My daddy was born and raised in Arkansas and was absolutely terrified of any kind of bad weather.

'Nuff talking about trivial things like the weather. Let's talk about you being excited about the Triple 2's!

I can remember being terrified of tornadoes when I was little...and we have NEVER even had a tornado here! So I can only imagine living somewhere where that is actually a real threat.

:yay: For your countdown! :cheer2: I can't believe how quickly these trips are coming!
