May 2, 2009~~~Magical MAYniacs!~~~ 7 day Western....Updated, April 3,2009!!

Our Palo was booked for 7, then I changed it to 6:30 and then back to 7:00.........so 7 it is! :laughing:
We chose 6:30 because sunset is at 6:50 that night and Dorie had a friend who went on a Disneycruise a year ago and said that Palo at sunset was spectacular.

Anyway, we'll still get to say hello at Palo that night, whether at 6:30 or 7 pm. :goodvibes
 
We were able to book ours also:

Palo -dinner- day 4

Mexican Cuisine Workshop - Cozumel
Aquaboat & Snorkel Tour - Grand Cayman
Parasailing (for me only)- Castaway Cay (10:30-11:30)

We also have Palo day 4 - 7 pm.....:cool1:

Well.... we had a little advantage with the REAS.......
 
Sounds good that folks are getting things they want. I know they keep some Palo's ressies to book when we board.

I see that you were on the 1991 sailing of the Big Red Boat....do you have any pics of that?? That trip must have been amazing!

The Big Red Boat (Premier Cruise Lines) was my first cruise. We had some fun (3 friends and myself) but I didn't really know any better. The boat was old, small, and rickety (vibrations from the motors made the springs in my bed rattle all nite). The entertainment was .... (hmmm, I can't remember, so what does that tell you). At dinner, we sat with a family of four who didn't have much to say. And finally, our day at their private island was canceled so we spent 2 days in Nassau. Other than that, it was nice to get away and my friends and I made the best with what we had.

I was actually a little embarrassed when the ship pulled into Nassau. Compared to the other cruise ships, we were like a dented-up red Yugo in a parking lot full of Rolls Royce's. :) Granted, the DCL Magic is relatively small, but it is very elegant, clean, and beautiful (like a Lambourgini in a parking lot of Limo's). :rolleyes1

The pictures I have are not digital; they are probably in a shoe box somewhere around the house. :sad2:
 
My DD6 loves Disney Princesses. princess: I couldn't tell you who her favorite is because she seems to change her mind often. It was Ariel, then Sleeping Beauty, but I don't know who it is today.

Anyhow, I just read that Disney will introduce the first new Princess in more than 10 years. That is Princess Tiana, star of the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures animated theatrical release, The Princess And The Frog.

:goodvibes :goodvibes That sounds like it would have been great! I am assuming that you were very young when you went on that trip, what made you and your young friends pick a Disney cruise? After I asked about the pics I realized that the digital age had not hit at that point. Thanks for sharing!

I was on a site for Cozumel last night and it stated that at all the "Nat'l" parks there, which includes Chaunkanab Park where the dolphin encounter is, are very strict on SUN TAN LOTION must be biodegradable. The other lotion is harmful to the coral reef / fish. Strict means if you have the wrong stuff with you, they confiscate it but if you put the waterproof on before arrival...there won't be "purple" air clouds. :guilty: If I can't find the "biodegradable" (they all mark it as such on the label) then we will pre-lotion cuz a burn won't be fun.

The Western 7-nite cruises are underway and some have begun to write post-trip reports. I found the above information from one of the early February Cruise Meets (yes, I was lurking). Our cruise will be here before you know it.
 
Got an email from Tammy @ DU today stating FL resident rates were released for our cruise. We went from Cat 12 to Cat 11 (Room 7625) with a $200 refund!! :cool1: :banana: :cool1: :banana:

We will be very close to the Deck 7 aft verandah.
