We took adv of EMH on Thurs at the MK....headed straight for space mtn and seemed everyone else had the same idea but wait was only about 15 mins. We skipped Astro Orb (which the long lines there are always a mystery to me!). Hubby went for Alien Encounter again and I took the kids to Buzz Lightyear. My two DSs 7 &11, aren't big Buzz fans but the ride is lots of fun for both of them and I get a kick out of it too!! Headed over to Thunder and Splash mtns (about 10 min wait for each), then Pirates (5 min wait) and Jungle Cruise (10 min). I know the cruise is quite an old ride and may seem lame to some, but I got a kick out of the funny cruise driver!! We all enjoyed it and then were ready for some shade so headed over to Hall of Presidents. Call me sappy but I get all teared up here (I just earned my degree in Education w/a minor in History!). My kids are big history buffs so we all enjoyed it and it is a nice break from the heat (even if George W. doesn't even really look like him, although my brother thinks it does!). Most of the family (bro 15, sis 24, DH and DS 7) were ready for the pool so they left back for the hotel while I took my 7 yr DS to discover Tom Sawyer's Island. We waited only about 10 mins and the raft ride was really cute and they have "mine shafts" to discover and a little treehouse playground that my son absolutely loved!! And it was sooo nice and shady! Just wish they had more benches for weary parents! Got our churros and chocolate sauce and popcorn and leisurely stolled towards the entrance around 1 pm

We have never ridden the monorail so we decided to wait and we only had to wait one extra rail to get to ride up front!! I am soooo glad we did!! My son loved it and we sat with two very knowlegable women that run the pin trading board who I can't remember thier name but made the ride up front a very nice experience for us!! We got off at Epcot and took the bus back to the hotel.

Another dip in a slightly crowded pool and headed over to the Boardwalk for dinner at ESPN club for my sports crazy DH and brother. They loved the restuarants tvs (and I just had to visit the bathroom to see the tvs in there for myself!). The kids played golf on playstation and there was a small arcade. But I thought the food was terrible. 3 of us ordered the 1/2 chicken and it was bone dry and the pina colada tasted like sugar water. The guys liked the place, though. We wanted to stay and watch the board walk entertainment but it began to pour and lightening. The boys went home and my sister and I went over to Jellyrolls..however, we didn't bring enough cash and Jellyrolls DOES NOT accept room charges for the $7 cover or drinks!! I was really disappointed as I heard great things about this place. We got tired of dodging the rain and called it a night

Day 6....We did EMH at the AK....the park was very uncrowded and the tree should be considered one of the 7 wonders of the world!! The theming of this park was by far my favorite of any!! You really feel like you are in a marketplace in Asia or a village in Africa!! We walked right on to the safari...don't miss this!!! It was wonderful!! Sis and kids did the Forest Trek and really enjoyed it while the rest of us went over to get FPs for Bugs Life (which wasn't nec..it was a walk on all day!!). We did find Pooh, Piglet and Tigger and only waited about 3 mins to get autographs/pics with each! We had ressies at Donald's Breakfast..which we all thought was a total waste of $$ and would never consider it again (see thread on rest board). Had FPs for Primeval Whirl..what a fun ride, just don't understand the hieight restriction! We road it twice with about a 15 min wait each time with FPs as my son played in the boneyard, which he really enjoyed and didn't want to leave!! Rode Dinosaur w/no wait at all. This ride was a bit intense and I wouldn't recommend it for little ones...my 7 yr old was a bit shaken up and he's a jurassic park movie fan.
We did Bug's Life and loved it!! This, too scared my 7 yr old...the fog was a bit scary..but afterwards he said he was glad he did it!!

We headed to Asia and road Kali River Rapids...DO NOT expect by any means to stay dry on this ride!! But it is worth getting wet! Lots of fun! We got our turkey legs and headed back to the hotel around noon for a dip in the pool.

After dinner everyone but me and step mom headed to DQ. They spent 6 hours in the place and were totally addicted! So addicted that they returned the next day for another 6 hours!! This worked out well for me cuz I wanted to enjoy the diff countries at Epcot, which my stepmom and I did. We did not stay for illuminations, tho..which I regret now, but we were totally worn out by 8:30 and did not feel like fighting crowds.
