Question for y'all..or well questions I suppose.

I'm thinking about changing our Yachtsman ADR to Kona Cafe instead. The main reason I went with the Yachtsman is we are doing an Illuminations Cruise that same night at 8pm and I figured it would super convenient to be dining at the Yachtsman right next door.

However, recently I read a dining review of Kona at dinner time and got extremely in lust for some of the food. We are staying at the Poly also and I'd like to eat at Kona for more than just breakfast on our last day.

Do y'all think we could still make it to the pier for our cruise around 7:30pm if we had an ADR for Kona at 5:30pm? Also, would y'all change Yachtsman to Kona or keep the Yachtsman ADR?

I'm so close to the trip and out of things to really plan at this point so it's time to start the second guessing phase of pre-vacation planning frenzy.

I get one of those too, only mine says- can not find postthanks?

That is what I'm getting. I assume these are generic 'error' messages that are given when the data for the actual 'message' you'd see upon posting is not available. My guess is that during the time the DB was down and no one was able to visit the boards, some files got corrupted/deleted/eaten by internet gremlins.

A floodcheck message is usually given when someone is posting a lot in a short period of time. They are there to make sure someone doesn't spam a board over and over again. People with special permissions (this could be as simple has having a certain # of posts or some kind of administrative permission) can often bypass floodchecks (meaning they can post as much as they want as fast as they want) so a 'check' has to be performed to figure this out. So long story short: maybe that is why you are getting that message :p

yah!!!!!!
I was missing you all today.

I was trying to respond to your question to me this morning JC, and then suddenly I couldn't do anything at all on the board.

So yep, we only have 7 weekends left, and it's hopefully going to fly by cause we are going to be busy!!!. We have a 75th birthday party, two weekends where we have people coming to visit, a charity scrapathon another weekend, there is easter weekend and our annual family brunch, DH's niece's birthday, a group dinner with friends on another, and of course we will have to do a family meeting the week before we leave to look over all the travel info from the travel agent, and answer any questions Dh's mom and sister have about it and anything else.

I hope that's it.

So almost another day over- then it will be 49 to go.

Hey I just also realized I have surpassed 200 posts now too.
I aiming for 300 before we leave.:woohoo:

Oh! what fun, time will fly for you...the only plans we have for now... is our annual Easter Brunch....and any disasters that may befall on our brunch this year...and we have had some fun ones :rotfl2:

Are you driving? If so i would say yes you can make it for sure. If you are relying on Disney Transport, i would have tos ay you are really pushing it!!!

You will reallllllllllly miss the Yachtsman!!1 it was the BEST MeaL of our LIVES in WDW!!! hahahah! we can't wait to go again!!! but we don't want to subject anyone to our crazy kids quite yet! so it will have to wait a couple years :lmao:

ooo Easter Brunches with the family are always crazy events right??? Ours is just plain :snooty: soo many people think they are too good for others and then there is a table of people that nobody likes (that's where we sit!) and on and on it goes! there are usually some good fights, someone crying and then of course many people leaving!

Our's are not too bad, we take turns hosting it and we all bring something for the meal. Every year I am asked to make my waffles and strawberry sauce with whipped cream. MMM....that sounds good right now actually.

We won't be in possession of a rental car. I don't want to have to worry about driving while at the World. That gets in the way of my martini love. :drinking1

I figured if we went the Kona route, we'd just have take a cab from the hotel to the Yachtsman. I've just heard such mixed things about the Yachtsman so it is making me go 'hmmmm'.

Tasmen..staying at the Poly around the same time...love the Kona...no matter where we stay we always plan a meal there.

Seacrest- Did you decide where you wanted to have your "romantic" dinner yet?

No, not yet and it is bugging me, because I can't get a grasp of where everything is in reference to our hotel. I am still going through the menus and trying to find a place that has a wide variety of things she would like to eat.

I am going to order a cake and chocolate dipped strawberries for her birthday. I am going to have them delivered to our room.

Still taking your ideas though! Thanks!

My oldest son likes the Monte Cristo sandwiches at DL's Blue Bayou. Does any WDW restaurant have these sandwiches?
