YIKES!!! I have had people shave, brush teeth and other such things...BUT IN OUR BATHROOMS!!! Ok...why would you NEED to brush your teeth IN LINE????!!!! This would never happen in my Best Buy; security (mall) is everywhere.

In LA (la la land), so much of this happens frequently, you get numb to it. But this one takes the cake, especially the apathy of the store management.

On a lighter side Seacrest have you made any ADR's for your trip?

No we haven't made any ADRs. I shared the menus with my wife and she was interested in going to Ohana one night. That is the only commitment I got from her. I don't think she got through alot of the menus. I know we need to make some decisions soon. I might have to take control, and just decide.

Anyone familiar with VMK here? My wife and son are really into it. They say there are special cards that can collect at WDW that give you virtually merchandise. Any tips where to collect this at the parks?

I don't know too much about VMK, but on main street in the MK there is a VMK store (the main street cinema) where you can play the game and get some cards!

Good Morning Everyone!

I thought I would post a question this morning, as I am so close to 200 posts, I need to join the posting frenzy.

Here is the question that my 5 year old son asked me this morning,

Mom, which characters are you most looking forward to seeing at Disney?

I told him,
Tinkerbell
and Mickey Mouse

He said
Leo - from Little Einsteins and Mater from Cars.

So I thought I would ask the Mayers the same question.
Who are you most excited to see?

DD Isabelle- Cinderella and Tinkerbell

DD Meghan-Minnie Mouse and Ariel

DH- Whichever character makes his family smiles the most.

Our dates are May 1-16 so we will be there for Mother's Day.

Morning everyone!!!!

Since DH and I are going to be by ourselves this trip, we are just going to wave to the characters as we pass by, unless we see some of the characters the kids don't normally see.

In October when we took the kids, we were at opening of Toontown one morning about 45 minutes early. We were going to try to be the first ones in to get lots of autographs. At opening, we were up at the rope, about 8 other families were next to us.

Mickey came out and waved to everyone, took a look around and spyed my DD (Belle) age 4. She had two ponytails, with Mickey heads on the ponytail holders. Mickey's handler said something to him and he pointed to DD and to her pony tails. The handler came up to us and said, "Mickey wants you to help him open Toontown by giving you and your family a tour of his house."

She took the rope down, Mickey hugged my kids, took DD by the hand and proceeded to take us on a "tour", pointing out things in his house. I was so teary, I could barely see to take pictures!

Then he took us to his room and the handler told all of the other families that had followed us that they would have to wait outside. And we spent about 10 minutes with the Mouse, taking pictures with just us. I will never forget it as long as I live.

If only I knew how to post pictures!!!!!

If you get a chance, be at Toontown at opening. Not only does Mickey do that, but Goofy picks one child to ride Goofy's Barnstormer too. If Mickey hadn't picked DD, we were going to make a bee-line for Goofy, who was standing in the middle of Toon town, doing the Robot, much to the delight of all. (Especially the adults!!!!)

We are suckers for anything villain. So I suppose you could say I look forward to seeing the more 'evil' side of Disney when it comes to characters. We'll also probably go all goo-goo and ga-ga should Darth Vadar happen to show his bucket covered head in our presence. Oh and we love Eeyore too

I hope to get a magical moment like that.
But I know the entire trip, and just being at WDW is going to be magical for us.

Now if it would only get here.

So what is everyone doing today.
My son is back at school after march break, and I am doing , and housecleaning. Realtor coming by with someone this afternoon, cross your fingers for me.

Tomorrow is my DD's birthday too. She's the one that wanted the Vera Bradley merchandise. She will be twelve.

How neat! Twelve years ago at this time I had just ordered a large cheese pizza and was getting ready to consume the entire thing by myself. I can't even fathom how that happened. She was two weeks late, what can I say???? (Something along the lines of "drastic times call for drastic measures...")

Anyone here flying with children under 2? Are you bringing a car seat? i started a thread on it, because i totally forgot they were not in their infant carriers like last time and last yr we drove...so it's been awhile! YIKES!

We are traveling with car seats. I liked it better. But we also rent a car and I am a big germ freak. SO I like to have my own things.

Well, we told our boys, 20 & 14 (to be 15 tomorrow) that we are taking them to WDW. They were very excited and are looking forward to meeting up with our friends from Ft. Myers. My oldest is concerned about his work & school scheduling, but thinks he will be ok. He studying film and video screenwriting and has various projects to complete before June. My other boy is glad he gets an extra week of vacation before school ends.

I went over to Best Buy this weekend to see if they could fix my video camera. No go...it would be better to buy a new one then spend the money for repairs.
So now I am trying to decide if I should buy a DV Tape or the Mini DVD camcorder.

Oh ya, while I was waiting in line at Best Buy, this lady comes in and sits down in the customer service area. She fiddles with her bag and stuff for like 5 minutes then takes out a tooth brush and toothpaste and brushes her teeth. So I am thinking to myself, is she going to swallow all that junk in her mouth??? Nope, she takes out a jar and spits into it! Unbelievable. There were employees all around us, but they were trying to ignore it all.

I think I am going to shop at Circuit City next time.
