Hey Shelly....Thanks!

Anyone have suggestions of good places to make ADRs? I want to try some more new restaurants during my pre-CP stay and right now the only one I've come up with for sure is Chef Mickey's for breakfast...I want to eat a table service meal in World Showcase, but don't know where yet.

I don't know Sulley. . . You've probably been to way more restaurants than me! Chef Mickey's dinner was very nice! We are trying Le Cellier this time, it will be our first World Showcase TS.

We are trying Mama Melrose for the first time too. Anyone been there? We did Hollywood & Vine for our Fantasmic package last time and weren't impressed. Also trying Sci-Fi Dine In this trip!

I feel that too. I work from home so I never leave both of my jobs. :rotfl:

I want to work from home...... i hate commuting ESPECIALLY in traffic.....

The only suggestion i have is DO NOT try San Angel Inn... considering i have eaten A LOT of mexican food it is not good at all. i like maya grill in CSR better.....

i can see that....

1900 Park Fare Dinner
Sci fi Dine-In
50's Prime Time Café
Princess Storybook
Teppan Edo
Chef Mickey
Crystal Palace
Breakfastasaurus
Wolfgang Puck Café

Here is the list of restaurants that i want to go eat at.... i look at it and get overwhelmed with all the food that will given to me ..... but i have to take advantage of the dining deluxe....

Hiya Mayers!!! How cool that you all got to meet! I'm jealous!!!!

I second the emotion of STAYING AWAY from San ANgel Inn, it is just plain awful!! Spoken from someone who makes, eats and lives and breathes Mexican food :)

I'm doing well, just exhausted trying to get back into the swing of things! The kids are all adjusting well too!! Roman gets his next hearing test next week and we are still hoping all goes well. Thanks for all the thoughts MAYers!!

Maybe Marrekus? Spelling not right, or The new Italian restaurant. Also Do not go to San Angel. It is gross. So gross

I went to Mama Melrose last May and it was sooo gross. I had to send back my meal. There was something metal in it. We left. Maybe you will do better.

Sounds yummy! :mickeybar

It's funny how people can have such different opinions of Disney restaurants. I guess you can never really tell until you try it for yourself!

My cousin and his wife LOVED Mama Melrose and told us we HAVE to go there, so we are planning on it in MAY. But now Huggie says it's bad and I'm confussed! :confused3

We loved Chef Mickey's and someone on here also went last MAY and hated it. I forget who it was.

We didn't care for Hollywood & Vine, but some people love it.

There's only one place everybody loves  - the Crystal Palace!

And seems that everyone hates the Mexican pavillion food. I never tried it, but will probably not because I haven't heard one good thing about it.

I personally hate hot dogs, but loved Casey's Corner. Go figure!

Well, at least ya'll have a trip to look forward too...:sad1:

J/K. I am so happy that you all will be enjoying yourselves.:goodvibes

Hi Michelle. Glad to hear you and the Baby are doing so good. Hope his test goes great and you get some good news.

I am going alone for 5 nights with DS(3). Is it worth it to purchase the park hopper? We will definitely take a break in the afternoons, is the park hopper worth the extra $? Can it be upgraded during the trip if I change my mind?

The ticket can be upgraded during the trip if you change your mind...As to whether or not it's worth it, it varies person to person and even trip to trip. My first trip I hopped almost everyday, but my last two I only hopped once or twice total between the two. My suggestion would be to wait and see how it goes and if you want to add it, you can.

Oh yeah. Let me chime in about the restaurants...

Mama Melrose's. nope. Never again. Yucky, poo-poo, gross!:) We all got something different and all of it was nasty. Anyone ever heard of that Italian fast food restaurant, Fazoli's? They are big down south. And they are nasty. Mama Melroses is kind of like that.
HOWEVER, that is my opinion, and I do have to say that every person has their own ideas of "great food". With that being said, I will say that I don't go to WDW looking for gourmet food, because I will be disappointed. Except...

For California Grill. Yum. Book a window seat, set up dinner so that you will be having dessert around the time of Wishes! and sit back and enjoy the show. They pipe in the music to Wishes, and it is wonderful. The steak there is great. DH said the sushi is unbelievable; I don't eat it.

Some places that I have found amusing (not saying the food is fantabulous, just that we have gone there...)

Liberty Tree Tavern--MK--Character dinner; Fun interaction. Think Thanksgiving dinner food. Minus Mom and Grandma's home cooking. LOL.
Le Cellier--the exception to the rule. Good food.
Brown Derby--MGM--It's okay. Takes 2 TS credits.
Captain Jack's-- DTD-- Sandwiches are good. You can get Lobster here for 1 TS credit.
Chefs de France--:scared: -- no need to say anything else.
San Angel Inn-- while the food is not wonderful, the ambiance is really beautiful. Even if you don't eat here, make sure to go in and ride the new ride. It is sooo cute.:goodvibes
Akershus--Norway, Princess Breakfast-- Three words-- "Belle" and "Cinnamon Rolls". My Belle met the real Belle and a wonderful time was had by all.
For a lot of money, LOL.
Fulton's --DTD-- NOT on the DDP. Very good seafood. Remember me talking about DH's Lobster that hung off of both sides of the platter? This was the place!
Kona--Poly-- Dinner. We didn't like it. Might have been an off night, because it has gotten some wonderful reviews. My steak was dry and burnt.

Anyone interested in my thoughts on counter service????:rotfl:

Hi! Welcome to our MAYer thread! This is a thread leftover from last year, when all of us MAyers went and had a great time. We have made a great lasting friendship, and you are welcome to pop in anytime! I am glad you found us; hopefully we can be of some help to make your trip magical with your son.:wizard:

Sulley is right on (Atta' girl, our CP MAYer friend:snooty: ...I am blushing like a proud Momma:flower3: ). Being that you are going alone with your 3 year old, I would hold off on the hopper. You can add it later at the parks if you think you need it. It truly is quite an undertaking to "hop" from park to park. It takes longer than you would think.

With careful planning, including a rest in the afternoons, there is no need for the hoppers with the little one. You'd be less stressed without hopping.:goodvibes

Hope you have a fun time planning! Ask away any time. We love to help.:cloud9:

Sounds YUMMY! I'm considering going for the Deluxe DDP in Jan since the only expense I'll actually have is food (love the fuzzy disney math), it'd be fun to eat at some more of the TS restaurants.

DMM! - Glad to hear from you and that you're getting settled back in. I hope that everything goes well next week with Roman's hearing test.

Jo- I am with you on the food. I dont go to disney for the food. I have the best restaurants by me and I am a train ride away from the city. But I did like Ohana. I thought it was so cute. The food was alright. Chefs was yucky yucky.
