So we are home today. Isabelle is sick and she has a dr. appt this afternoon. We had a playdate scheduled but I had to cancel. So we are all cuddled on the bed watching the Care Bears Movie on Disney. I think I will try to narrow down my adr's for May.

My question for the day is????

What adr are you guys doing for Mothers Day?

Hope Isabelle feels better soon! DS 8 was sick all day Saturday but is fine now.

Well so far for Mother's Day we have planned to sleep in, then spend the day at DTD, go to Wolfgang Puck Express for lunch (anyone want to make this a MAYers meet??? :snooty: ), and then to MGM for the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose!

Where did everybody go????????????????

So how about it, a DTD Mother's Day MAYers Meet!! :snooty: That's a tongue-twister!!

I checked Southwest and they are only giving out prices up until March 2008. Bummer. This waiting is killing me! Once I get my airline tickets I will feel like it is more final and we are definitely going to Disney! :yay:

Hi guys!

Well, my wife worked her first full day at WD Studios on Friday. Right now is she is just working on "assignment" on a as needed basis. Can't really go into the details of her work projects, but it is quite interesting.

She enjoys the environment and the day goes by pretty fast. Everyone's cubical or space area has been "Disneyfied" with their plush, figures, drawings, etc.

They have a great commissary on the lot that serves Starbucks, Panda Express, a salad bar, sandwich bar, and a wide variety of tasty food. She said, it is like the Pepper Market at CSR, but on steroids. LOL!

Don't know if they are going to offer a fulltime position yet. We will see...

Yeah Southwest usually will open up the flights on the 28th of the month. I think it should be in Dec.

We are here I was looking around at menus. I really want to try to eat a new places this May.

So far this a a very rough draft

May 10th Crystal Palace Dinner
May 11th Tepanyaki or marrakesh or Maybe California Grill
May 12th Princess Dinner
May 13th Somewhere in animal kingdom Maybe the new Tusker House
May 14th Kona Cafe
May 15th Cinderella’s Royal Table Breakfast?????
May 16th Home

We always do breakfasts so I wanted to try something new and just use snack credits for breakfast. I am also planning to send some cereal and pack bread for toast. Dh and I arent big breakfast eaters so I usually skip it.

Off to take Isabelle to the doctor. Be back later

Glad your wife is enjoying working for Disney and hope they offer her something full time soon! :goodvibes

I'd love to work for Disney!! I sure wish they'd put a Disney store in our outlet mall (3 miles from me)! The closest one is nearly an hour away.

I was thinking that the parks would be pretty crowded on Mother's Day too. That's why we are planning on spending most of the day at DTD. That's what we did last year and it worked out great! :)

Afternoon all,
Shelly- :thumbsup2 We *might* have a plan!;) SIL is leaving in the AM for home. I'll PM you later.

As to the MAYer meet...:sad1: I will give you this bit of info...(the MK isn't crowded. Stay away from EPCOT).

Also, for those wanting SW airlines tix...Shelly... we paid $39(!!!!!!!!) each way last year from PGH. Keep an eye on the Transportation Forum. They usually have a thread about SWA tix and prices. I think I bought mine in Feb ? but I can't remember. You have to be the first to get them because they only release a few at this price range.

Huggie, hope Isabella is better. Seacrest, your wife's job sounds...mysterious.popcorn:: Hope she loves it.

:snooty: to all,

YAY a plan!! :yay: I'll wait to hear from you.

I keep checking the transportation forum but am not finding a thing. I know it's early though. But I don't know if I can wait until Feb! I am too afraid I will wait too long and there will be no non-stop flights left. I would probably faint if I found $39 flights!!:faint: Do you have to fly mid-week to get those? With DH's work schedule we can only leave on the weekend.

I guess I will just keep searching everyday!:magnify:

Afternoon all...
We love to fly SW but we don't use them for our flight to Florida anymore  The last time we used SW to Florida we flew 1st to Phoenix... 2nd Houston....3rd Orlando...not toooo bad...home was 1st New Orleans...2nd Houston...3rd Phoenix then Home...Oh my...will never do that again...:scared1: Tooo many take-0ff and landings....and on some of the landing we just took on passengers...
Our DGS has request we look for a flight that is 3hrs and 3hrs...we did this with AA in 2006... May of 2007 with Delta was just OK with one leg just far tooo many hours on a plane for him...5 hours...
So we are Looking every day for the "perfect flight"

Can't really say anything more, you sign confidentiality agreements when you are hired. But, she is having fun and enjoys the work environment.

We went to DL yesterday - need some more therapy! Rode the HM Holiday twice and video'd the ride. It came out ehhhh...OK...I used my digital camera, not my camcorder, so the quality wasn't the greatest in low light. Next time I will bring the camcorder to get a better quality. Still, I think I will put up a video on YouTube tonight if I get time to edit it.

One of things we did get to do for the first time is see the ASIMO show. ASIMO is a robot made by Honda that can walk, dance, run, even use the stairs. I got some video of that too that I will put up on YouTube later on.

There is going to be a major announcement about Disney's California Adventure this week. They are going to be doing some major construction, including the redesigning of the entrance and adding a new land. I think the announcement will be Wednesday.

I need to get back to work...lolol
