Lake - sounds like you had a good time on your roadtrip (with the exception of the car breaking down)....sorry to hear about the skunk....try using a mix of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, it makes a bit of a paste that you rub on, then use shampoo to wash....but it works....we had two dogs get skunked and that got it out....

we have bathed her three times in tomato juice- and the smell is still not quite gone. but it' getting there. it's funny to look at her though because she has a pinkish tint to her fur now.

my sister and i are planning to take my mom away for a girls only weekend this fall to celebrate her 60th birthday.

we were thinking
washington
new york
or maybe even savannah...

any tips or ideas...which would you recommend for visiting on a weekend.

Hey i think i'll meet you in disney in May of 09. If it were up to me i'd be going to disney the end of this year but my bank account has declined the idea....Sorry to hear that the tomato juice did not work.

I agree with Shelly... NY is a nice place to go...i live about 20 min. i live in the NJ side. They do have some really nice restaurants but $$$$$$$$....

Hey welcome home!!! Sorry about the dog. That stinks. (lol) Come to NY. You can see a broadway show. Go to some amazing restaurants. Go to Canal St. to get some great knockoff pocketbooks and go to Serendipity for some frozen hot chocolates.

This is me, right now! No, those aren't tears - it's sweat! It is sooooo hot here! When I was out at lunch my car said it was 100!


Pretty exciting stuff going on with everyone.

Lake - I would say go to NY! I was able to go a couple of years ago and I loved it. I was able to go at Christmas and thought it was wonderful. I am sure Huggie can give you the 411 on the great things to do, Broadway, Rockafeller Plaza, Central Park, shopping of course (at Christmas the store windows are so fun!)

Well, off to get my hair done!

Oh by the way! I think I may have shared with you guys that my 12 year old serious son wanted to be in Pre-Algebra in 7th grade in the worst way. Well, he made it! We are thrilled! Now he is a little nervous about it, but very excited!

I am so proud of him. He really worked hard this past year to make it!

I've been popping in and out, trying to keep up with everyone, but I've been packing soooo many boxes.

I'm just exhaustipated.

Two weeks from today, I'll have new keys in my hot little hand!

Lake, it sounds like your vacation was wonderful. I do have to suggest to you Charleston, SC. (Carolina girl, here.) It's Savannah's sister city. Lots of wonderful places to shop and eat and relax... ahh, to be home again.

Shelly, hope Hershey is fun! We just had some awful weather here today and lots of flooding.

New Crew, I'm happy for the smart guy! I wish my DD hadn't gotten my math genius (or lack thereof).

Mari- I too loved the wand on the big ball. Sad to see it go.

Good news for me... I will be returning to disney in Feb 08. I was able to convince my parents to let me join them. After all it was going to be only 2 grandparents with 3 young ones..... now the vacation includes my mother, stepfather, 3 sisters, 1 brother, nephew, DD, and ME..... Parents decided they would rather have the whole family.... YEAH..... only thing we won't be staying in Disney they have a timeshare in Orange Lake resort.... hey atleast i get to go to disney again....

yaaay!!! you will love love LOVE the college program!! I did it twice and wish I would have done it more! A freind of mine loved it so much he went into the management program after the CP and is still there in a great position!!
