DH BROKE HIS BIG TOE TODAY & THE DOCTOR TOLD HIM TO RENT A SCOOTER DURING OUR TRIP.

So just look for a family in matching Disney shirts & a DH (40yo) riding a scooter. Oh brother!!

Ok so we are leaving to WDW in less than 48 hours now and I am a complete ball of nerves. Please tell me this normal? I just want our first time to WDW to be so nice. Of course tropical storm "Andrea" is making me nervous and all of those fires aren't helping me feel any better. I hear the smell of smoke is covering the parks the past few days.

Plus I am not done packing. Don't know what I am missing.. Do they have blow dryers at the POP?

I think I need a nap?

Hi just got back from the bank, went to See's candy store to get some gifts for our friends and stop by a client's office to have a short meeting.

We are packing more stuff tonight. Finishing up on the laundry and of course cleaning the house and moving stuff around. We are having windows installed 2 days after we get home, so I know I am going to be too tired to move furniture.

I am so worried about the weather for next week!

Michelle, I know you like the rain....

But we spent a week in June 2002 in the rain (every day, all day, pouring down sideways) and it stunk!!! We tried to make the best of it, but by day 3, we were tired of being soaked.

I know they need rain down there...but how bout in June??

We have gone every May since 2004 & have always had perfect weather!!

I mean out of our 8 day trips, each trip it has only rained one time.

Try to relax, I now I cant. LOL My advice is bring the blowdryer. Hotel blowdryers are never the same.

I have been planning this trip completely around DH to make it perfect for his first trip and now I have knots in my stomach about the weather! I don't mind the daily hour long thunderstorm, just the smoke worries me... ahhhh!!! Perhaps I'll head off to pack now!!

The rooms at POP DO have hair dryers! They are not very powerful though, so if you have short or thin hair you are fine

Good Evening Everyone!!!!

Good news on the smoke issue....it was relatively clear....it seems to be worse in the early morning and as dusk starts setting in, as long as the sun is out it seems to keep the smoke at bay....It's also rained for a couple short showers since yesterday, only about 15 minutes or so, and that's helped quite a bit too.....

I'm working on getting new pics added to my album, hopefully will be done in about 1/2 hr.

My dad went to the Dr. and unfortunately has to have more surgery on his heart RIGHT when we get back! THe Dr. wanted him in yesterday, but his Dr. was very unrealistic about recovery time! He told him he could go in for surgery on wed. then be out today and on the plane by friday!!?!?! We thought it better to wait as it is not a life threatening thing bothering him, and the Dr. said it could wait if he wanted to. So we have that to deal with when we get back

Yes, missed the Sulley update last night! Those of us stuck in our boring RLs need some type of distraction please!

This next 5 days is going to draaaaaaag. I can just tell.

After some adult drinks w/ dinner last night and another 3 hours at MK afterwards I was dog tired last night....I came back to my room and crashed....

Where at disneyworld can i go to check my email?

You should be able to at any of the business centers....I'm pretty sure the GF, CSR, and Contemp all have one....They may charge you some depending on who's there and how long you're in there....I've seen reports on the boards that if you take less than 10 minutes sometimes the CM will let you do so w/o paying.

This is my last post because we leave in 11 1/2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those who are going in the next few days, have a safe journey and have a wonderful time. I can't wait to read everyones reports when we all get back.

Hey Mayers!

Well, some of us are already there, and the rest of us are getting ready! My graduation commencement is tomorrow night and I am running around crazy trying to get everything together for my trip! Isn't it exciting! I so can't wait for Monday! 4 more days to go!

Safe and happy trips to everyone! Please don't let this thread die! I am planning on posting every few days while I'm in the world and I hope everyone else can do the same, if you have 'net access! I love reading about all the fun everyone is having in the world!
