Long time no post!

When I came to the board to see if you guys were still here, I was so glad to see the Mayer thread at the top of the Countdowns and live reports section! Way to go!

Well, I think of you all often, but I just have to tell you this one. Our high school football team in undefeated this year. Tonight starts the state playoffs. Well, the games are really exciting, and there have been lots of special things going on like tailgate parties, last week the school brought in a bunch of the inflatable "carnival" rides like the moon walk, huge slides, etc. Well, some the HS kids have been doing different things to show school spirit. So, last Friday night, I am sitting there watching the game and I look down at the cheerleaders, and what do I see....



No kidding, I really see...



One of the HS kids has on a Banana Suit and is dancing with the cheerleaders. I laughed so hard.



and then I would stop.

And then I would look at



and the I would



DH thought I had lost my mind. Then I told him that it reminded me of the Mayers, he really thought I was

So, today I am sitting at my desk thinking, I wonder if the



will be at the football game tonight.

So, I thought I really need to check on all my Mayer buds!

I know, it's hard. I am wondering myself how much longer I can take them out of school. I guess it will depend on how well they are doing.

I am so glad that I am not the only one to associate dancing bananas with the MAYers. This man was dressed like one at church last week....

Okay, I AM NOT going there, but anyway, I giggled really loud, right there in front of God and everybody and MArk shot me a look. It's because of the MAYer love, you see, that we all giggle at the thought of the dancing dudes.


Anyway, girl, it's so good to see you pop in for a spell.

I just got back from having more x-rays and more blood work. I swear, I'm surprised I have any blood left at all.

The Dr called me today and is starting me on Medrol, a corticosteroid, to see if that will take down some of the swelling.

Just thought I'd share.
I'm having a pity party. Someone pass me the chocolate...

Aw, Mari, thanks. Honestly, it's really a good thing that the vacation is a year away. I get exhausted grocery shopping for an hour. I know there is no way I could do all that walking in WDW.

How's the little one? Fever gone? Hope she is better soon and you can get some sleep tonight.

Mari - How fun that you are planning your next trip! I am green with envy! That would be lime green of course! Hope your dd is feeling better soon! It's the pits when little ones are sick. It's lots of work for the mommy too!

But wait, my kids go to a Christian school. So I guess our banana danced in front of God and everyone too! Oh My!


Jo - Blood Work? What's up, girly? (If you don't mind me askin') I hope it's nothing serious.

Well, my 7th grader landed a part in the High School play (long story - he is an over achiever). Yesterday was their opening performance. They are not performing tonight because of the football game, but have two performances tomorrow and one on Sunday. In-laws are coming as well as my parents. So I am home trying to clean house, wash the sheets (as I never know if any of them might spend the night) and do our laundry!

The fun never ends around here!

I do hope I see this tonight....

Anyway, I don't mind you asking about my troubles...
I am having issues with pain, stiffness and swelling in my joints. The Drs are still trying to rule out Rheumatiod Arthritis and I have been poked and prodded more than a cow.

So every now and then, I get to moan and groan, and all of the MAYers support me and love me, and then I feel better again.

Hope you have a good visit with your IL's and parents!

Hi MAYers!! Yet another busy week here (does it ever stop?) 4 more weeks of classes and about nine weeks till I leave for Disney!

For those of you hitting the 6 MONTH mark tomorrow --->

And..... after four weeks of tiptoeing around whether or not I wanted to stick with Target at the 4AM shift, I applied for a new job last Friday and interviewed and got the job today! They know I'm leaving in Jan for Disney and are cool with it. I'm going to be a banquet server at the Lincoln Country Club during the holiday season.

Good Morning everybody.....I hope everybody is having a better day then I am. I was up all last night with my DD. she had a fever and was cranky all night. Poor baby... but i get afraid because she is prone to Feveral Seizures. so i will be home all day.... do today i will be taking care of the , , , hoefully by the end of the day i won't
