Hello i personally think cheesecake factory is ok. nothing to rave about but the desert is great. They have all different types of cheesecake..... yum yum.... but my SIL makes the BEST cheesecake ever... she does eveyything from scratch....can't wait for thanksgiving....

Hi Jo!

We are doing good. It looks like the fires are coming under control up in our area (Malibu and Canyon Country). There is a lot of ash around here and the air quality is bad. The San Diego county area and Arrowhead mountain area has been hit the hardest. I hope the worst is over.

Anyone ever been to Jackson Hole, Wyoming?

We might have a chance to go next year. It would most likely be in May (another reason we decided against WDW then.)

Our trip to Cancun with friends in April is cancelled. They are going during Belle's Birthday and I can't miss that.

I got ADRs made for both trips this weekend....I think I spent about 1 1/2 hours on the phone with Disney Dining....I love calling and listening to the hold music

For my trip in Jan, I'm going to do the Deluxe DDP....

The only ones I've tried before are Crystal Palace, Boma, and O'hana....Everything else is new to me

Out of all of these, the only things I couldn't get was Chef Mickey's for breakfast on the 21st early enough for what I needed and Chef Mickey's for dinner either the 4th or 8th any earlier than 8:00

Sounds yummy! You'll have to let me know how the family likes the Concourse Steakhouse. That's one I've been wondering about!

I'm getting excited about all of my new restaurants: Ohana, Sci-Fi, Whispering Canyon, Mama Melrose, Le Cellier, and Cape MAY !

The only one we are repeating this time is Chef Mickey's! Well, hopefully!! I can't believe you couldn't get in there in Jan. & Feb.

My recommendations for the CCF: The salads and steaks are very good every time I go. My favorite is the Godiva Chocolate cheesecake. I always leave stuffed!

Thanks for the link. I have never been that far out Northwest. DH's parents were stationed in Montana while he was in college, but left before we met, so I never have been out that way. If we go, it will be a trip won through DH's work, so a lot has to occur before we can even plan anything.

I thought the concourse steak house was closing???? Let me check.

Concourse Steakhouse (Contemporary Resort) is expected to close permanently approximately March or April 2008. A table service location called The Wave will open in the old Food and Fun Center location at that time. A new counter service restaurant will open in the old Concourse Steakhouse location approximately 8/14/08.

The gift shop is being remodeled....There are a lot of posts on the DVC Mousecellaneous board with pics of the construction, both on the north tower and the gift shop....The Food 'n Fun Center has been relocated to the 4th floor as well

I don't know on this one....I've never actually planned a trip far enough out to deal with the 180 day window.....I'd just call and find out.....all they'll do is tell you that you need to wait another day.
