HEY MAYERS!

Shelly, I really enjoyed your Niagara Falls mini-trippie.

Life has been moving at warp-speed here.

My mom ended up having surgery yesterday on her wrist, she ended up with a metal plate and about seven screws to get everything back together. Provided everything's healing properly, she'll get it casted next week, but she won't be able to go back to her job for about 2 months (she's a transcriptionist)

My final for spanish 1 is tomorrow, then I start spanish 2 on monday....Yipee ....

In between everything else that's going on we've been remodeling, we've got all but the gates done on the privacy fence we installed, and our attic is now down to nothing but floor joists throughout half of it, hopefully will have the rest stripped by Saturday afternoon so we can start putting it back together and move downstairs.

I'm having a little of that SUPER MAJOR DISNEY WITHDRAWAL myself Michelle!!

I just told DH the other night that I just didn't think I could make it until Jan. 2009! And he told me that we really needed to get the yard done and landscaped and all that first and then if there was still money left over we could go. . . Why does he have to be so practical?!? Doesn't he know that Disney comes before all that stuff!

It's summer so probably everybody is busy with their Families and stuff. I just received the DVD planning for the disney cruise. it looks great i think i might want to do that for our next vacation. has anybody been on a Disney cruise?????

Nope, haven't been on a Disney Cruise YET! Looks like a lot of fun though!

I tell you what, I should not go outside of this thread!!! I am SO angry right now I could scream! If ever there was a time I wished I could come through this computer and choke someone this would be it!! This woman started a thread on a very touchy subject and she has gotten everyone all fired up!

You have to say where this thread is....... they made you angry. Us mayers stick together. But i'm glad to hear that you will be going to Hershey. I haven't been there in a looonnnnggggg time. I'm actually heading to sesame place next weekend with the DD2.

I'm here! I just haven't been on much lately. My young cousin nearly died of a diabetic coma and was in the hospital, my dad had hip revision surgery, I've not felt well, and I have to do something this week that I am absolutely terrified of. . .I haven't had much time for DISing. But I do hope everyone is doing well! I do miss being on this thread!

She is stating that people with children with ADD just medicate their children without researching or trying any other options. This really hit home for me with DS 8 having ADD, and believe me the decision to try the meds was not made lightly.

Shelly, I know all too well about this mindset among some people. At first, their intentions sound good, but then they throw out all common sense and make it a personal crusade to try to convert you to their viewpoint. Of course, none of them are doctors - however, since they saw a TV program once on Oprah or read a blog about ADD, they feel they can perfectly diagnose your child - and God forbid you decide to take another path to find help for your child.

I commend you for finding out what is best treatment for your son. Don't let these people get to you - ignore them. Best wishes to your family!

Hi guys, went to DL on Sunday. Got an AP since my wife got an AP a few weeks ago. Didn't get to ride Nemo yet. The lines were all the way back pass the Matterhorn - about 2.5 hour wait time. Space Mountain and Big Thunder broke down just as we got on them. Went over to DCA and rode Soarin' and California Screamin' and we also saw the Aladdin show for the first time. The show is a awesome! Putting together some pics and some video from Sunday's trip tonight so stay tuned.

I see that everyone has been having a good summer. Looks like everyone is busy planning little trips here and there. I hope that everyone is well and happy.

I have some news... No, I'm not pregnant.


We signed a contract to buy a house this morning.

Long story short in my "As the Stomach Churns" soap opera world, the owner of this rental property decided he wants to market it while we are in it. (No thank you.) So we went off the deep end and found a house that we love!

We were in negotiations until midnight last night. This morning I woke up ready to throw up ( You ALL know how I have to get sick any time something major is happening... ). I was terrified of what we had done. So I'm up, pacing the floor, moaning and groaning, chewing Rolaids one after another when our Realtor called. She said "Good thing you settled on a price...someone called and wanted a second showing this afternoon on the house and they are ready to put in an offer." OMG. It's been on the market a week.

Anyway, just thought I'd tell you all hello. I haven't been ignoring my May buddies. Just been a bit busy and stressed out. Now, if you'll all excuse me, I have to go pack a few hundred boxes for our move.
