Soooo Happy! The AAA/Disney packages are here...well one is still on its way but the other three are here....This split stay is a little confusing for DME..we fly into MCO and arrive at the AKL...but we leave for MCO from the POLY..and Delta keeps changing the flight numbers
Because we have 2 rooms at each resort we have 4 packages...and enough AAA Preferred Parking Voucher for 4 cars (I guess we could rent a car this time):rotfl: BUT the best part is we now belong to the sniffer club :snooty:

Welcome, to the official club, JC!!!!!:snooty: :snooty:

Ok, this isn't Disney related (gasp!), but what other places have you traveled to that you'd recommend?

DH and I are still trying to figure out where to go in the Fall...just the two of us. We're trying to get away for a few days, like a Wednesday to a Sunday or something like that. We've never really been anywhere besides Disney! (go figure!) I'd like to go somewhere relatively warm, and relatively inexpensive (like maybe $1500 or something ) We can fly or drive (from PA) and I'm open to Islands of any sort, or anywhere really. I'm not very sportsy or outdoorsy (no camping or surfing or stuff like that). Strenuous to me would be lifting up my umbrella drink while I sit my behind in a beach chair! LOL

So, ideas anyone??

We like to do long weekends to San Francisco or Napa or Lake Tahoe or Cambria or Vegas...and our goal is to visit every state... we are half way to our goal,
JC

Marcy,

Have you ever been to my hometown, Charleston, SC? It is beautiful and fun. Lots of wonderful places to eat and drink...

You could take a carriage tour around downtown, visit some of the old homes and churches there, take a boat cruise to Fort Sumter where the first shots of the Civil War began.

Then you could go out to some of the Plantations, go across the Cooper River to Shem Creek and dine outside while the pelicans swoop for fish and the shrimp boats come home at sunset to unload their catch, all while you drink cute umbrella drinks while listening to Beach music. Can you tell I'm homesick???:rotfl:

Jo

Oh Jo...I have got to put this in my must do...for States to visit....sounds wonderful...

IM BACK!!!

Thank to my fellow mayers for watching the show. I just saw it again and I was on about 3 times. But it was so much fun. I got a book, theatre tickets, frasier dvd set, and 100 gc to whole foods. SOO COOL:banana:

I loved everyone's pictures. All the cute kiddies and very attractive fellow mayers.

Gotta go spend some time with my family. ttyl

Hi girls!
(I just got home from work & have a lot of catching up to do here)

I don't wear a scent to the parks, but every late afternoon after swimming, I shower & I'll splash on BBW's new scent "Pink Grapefruit" as we head out to our dinner ADR.

I love that scent!!

This just in: I have just formulated the plastic sleeve scent into a cologne.

I expect to be swarmed by all the Disney babes at WDW! - Seacrest

Have you been to Scottsdale, AZ? We can usually get cheap flights from here on Southwest. Not sure how that would work for you in PA. We have been in the fall and in the spring. It rarely rains, very sunny and warm. There is no humidity which makes the climate wonderful. They have beautiful golf courses everywhere there. We don't play golf but they are pretty to look at. We have stayed at the Fairmont Princess and The Phoenician. I am not sure of the price because my dh was there for conferences. I tagged along, went to the spa, and chilled out by the pool, lifting umbrella drinks in the afternoon was about as much exertion as I could stand. They would even bring them to you so you didn't have to get up to go the bar. We never left the resort because it was just so beautiful.

On another trip, I can't remember where we stayed, but I did go to Sedona to see the Red Rock Formations. It was beautiful and quite a change from the landscape here.

Best trip ever was to Ireland -- we only had one week, but made the most of it. Went on a pub and folk tour, traveled from Dublin, saw the Book of Kells at Trinity College, the Guiness brewery and the Jamison distillery, drank a pint (or two) at the Brazen Head, went to Abbey Tavern, Kinsale, Killarney, Cobh, Sneem, the Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle (yes, I kissed the stone, had to hang upside down to do it over something like a 4 story drop :scared1:), Bunratty Castle, and flew out of Shannon Airport. Can't wait to go back, and will definitely plan for at least 2 weeks.

We make short weekend trips to SF (went there for our anniversary over St. Patrick's weekend). We stayed in the Queen Anne which is supposed to be haunted, and spent Sunday walking around Haight Ashbury. So cool...

We also love Mendocino, Lake Tahoe, Carmel, and of course, Disneyland!!! :goodvibes

(I missed a lot of the posts about the plastic sleeve humor, but I think I got the jist of it!!!)

Okay, I'm never venturing out of this thread again!!!!!

All I'm going to say is that there are some sad people running around on the DIS, and I'm staying in here where I don't get mad.;)

They must not be Mayers :snooty:

Ireland is where the DH would have preferred to go over WDW at first. But since I book the trips and make the plans, we got WDW. :princess: Princess Julie usually gets her way in the end :yay:

Don't let those negative nancy and neds get ya down. They are all just jealous that they can't join the May :snooty: club.

I'm thrilled we are finally getting to go to WDW after all these years -- will always love DL, though, and it's a much more affordable trip for us to go there. But if you ever do get a chance, go to Ireland -- it is so beautiful, and the people are wonderful. :goodvibes
