Guys, this thread might be slow from time to time but it can't die...we are friends through and through

Got a good CM this morning who clarified my reservation, the cost, and exactly what we are getting. I'm comfortable now that we are saving money EVEN THOUGH I got charged that stupid $100 "cancellation fee". And I found out that now it's no longer a package but room only + tickets, I can buy my tickets elsewhere -- would be 408.00 for 2 adult 5 day PH, and I can get the same tickets through my employee association for 350.00 -- whoo hoo! That's another 58.00 saved -- I can probably get a churro and a frozen Coke with that!

Oh, and my son is home!!! Just got out of the Air Force, after 6 years...haven't seen him since Christmas 2006. So good to see him! He is still in the reserves for 2 years, so praying and holding good thoughts that he doesn't get called up.

Hey Shelly - Making a lot of cold calls on the phone - not very productive today. I think it has to do with the holiday, Yom Kippur and the slow down in the economy. People are careful about their purchases nowadays. My fundraising business is doing great. Got some new schools and non-profits that we are helping out raise some money. So it all works out in the end.

Congrats KB on getting everything squared away with your upcoming trip to DLR. With that extra 58 bux you could even get a couple of Dole Whips too!!!

KB- seriously- I am so happy your son is home. I know you must be so relieved. I can't believe it's been that long since you saw him last. My goodness. This Mother's heart is happy for you. And Sea is right-- tell him that we are so thankful for his service to us and the Country.
I am glad you got to save some more for the DL trip! Sometimes you get the most stinkin' CM's, other times, they are awesome. So banana dance for KB!!!

Shelly - your ds birthday pics are cute!!!

Race for the Cure is on Saturday. I have been busy, busy, busy. We have registered over 44,000 runners/walkers. We close up the registration space tomorrow at 2 p.m. Then we have pasta party on Friday night at 6 pm in the River Market. Then race Saturday morning. My least favorite part is that committee members have to be downtown at 3:30 AM to help set up for race. Yuck. But Race is awesome.

The boutique part that I help chair has grossed $41,000 as of noon today. The next total I get will be our final total. I am so excited. We were so worried with the slowing ecomony that all numbers for Race would suffer this year. But, never fear, it will be another record year.

My favorite part of Race is being in boutique when cancer survivors are shopping and telling their stories. It is so touching. I also love seeing the survivors walking in the Race wearing their pink survivor T-shirts. It is so triumphant. I get chills and cry every year. It is that same feeling like watching wishes with the people you love!

It would be like watching wishes with the MAYers!

Hey Mayers!!!!

Poppin' in to say hi! I've been busy as of late doing absolutely nothing ....The parks have still been relatively slow, so not nearly as many hours as I was working back in August. I'm going to MK on Saturday with at least one of my roommates and friends from work. I'm super-excited to see the Halloween decorations.

Jo - You had asked about MNSSHP much earlier.....My roommate and her DBF went on Tuesday and loved it! She said the fireworks and the parade were awesome and all of the rides were walk-on, even Fantasyland....We may go on Monday of this coming week, if I do, I'll be sure to post some pics.

May 8th - May 17th I will ba at POP! No park hopper (unless there's a code again) and DxDP again (Bob insists )

I am so excited that I could burst! I am going to be checking all week for my airfare to come out because AirTran is still only offering thru May 14th so, I have to keep my eyes open - I want to snatch it up ASAP because the prices right now seem really good

210 days till I am in WDW!!! I don't think that I can start a banana dude countdown yet....

NC- you are so awesome to be working so hard for the Race. My Mom is a Breast cancer survivor....... a few times over. The first time she was dx with it, I was two years old. So yeah- we are thankful to have her around.

Sulley- oh wow- I am hoping that the parks will be slow when I am ther- But I am afraid it's not going to be too slow. I have been trying to switch some ADR's around and can't get anything. If you get to go to MNSSHP- please give me tps on what to do, when. I am just not sure how to tour the parks then.
