Hi All!

Ok here is what I dislike about WDW....

Those pesky birds, especially in Epcot near that gross Mexican CS food place. They seem to over take that area and walkway.

They give you smaller servings of Dole Whip at WDW than at DL.

Seacrest

Weel, I should have added that I don't like those dumb birds all over the parks either. One pooped on me in October 2006. And don't even get me started on the whole thing of the birds that are eating the Turkey legs... That just grosses me out.

Hey Jo: What don't you like about Kona Cafe?

I think we had a bad experience at Kona, b/c most everyone RAVES about it. We went for Dinner in May. I ordered:
Lump Crab Cakes - with Asian tartar and pineapple relish $10.49

Beef Teriyaki - 10 ounce sirloin strip, grilled with pineapple teriyaki sauce, mashed Yukon gold potatoes, and stir-fried broccoli florets $20.99

Mark got:
Sticky Wings - glazed chicken wings wings with a tangy mustard drizzle and toasted sesame seeds $8.49 (these were actually VERY good.)

Pan Asian Noodles - Asian egg noodles with sliced chicken, pineapple, seasonal vegetables, and a housemade sweet and sour sauce $16.99; with shrimp $17.99

Kilauea Torte - $5.49

I just really didn't like it at all. The crab cakes were burnt. I guess I am hard on anything to do with Seafood, being a Carolina Girl. We can get the seafood off of the shrimp boats when they come in. I grew up eating unbelievable seafood, so I'm hard to please, I think. But they were burnt.

My steak was charbroiled- but burnt burnt burnt. The cut of meat was, actually, kind of like what my Uncle sometimes gets at the Waffle House. (I'm not kidding. The man goes there for a steak- Bless his heart, you'd think he didn't know any better.) Anyway- I will say that there are soooo so many people that love it, so please try it and tell me my experience was only a fluke.

I still haven't decided what to do about the flight...........I'm still thinking..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................:rotfl:

So, what don't I like about WDW????

The Humidity!!! :scared1: It just doesn't agree with my hair!!! :lmao:

All the people on scooters!!! Sorry, I know that sounds rude, but didn't it seem like everyone was on a scooter last year???? I just have a hard time believing that all those people truly need a scooter. Plus after what I saw at DTD. . . . Okay, we are waiting at the bus stop to go back to the resort. A bus finally pulls up. Well, what do you know, there is a guy with a scooter that needs loaded. . . Okay so the ramp won't come down from the back door of the bus. It is stuck. The bus driver messes and messes with it, but finally tells the man that he will have to wait for the next bus. So the guy proceeds to stand up out of his scooter and picks up his scooter and loads it onto the bus himself! What in the world???
That's okay about POFQ, Shelly, I know. I actually said oh I know Shelly will say POFQ when i posted the question, LOL.

As far as the scooter- I am all for any and all people who need it. I Would give them my place in line to get on a ride before me. But I just know in my heart of hearts that there are plenty of people who use them that don't need them. Case in point, that guy you talked about. Unbelievable.

WISH ME LUCK MAYERS - I NEED SOME PIXIE DUST IN MY LIFE TO GET ALL THIS DONE BEFORE NEXT SATURDAY pixiedust:

^^ Yea, that steak and crab cakes sounds gross. I would have sent them back ASAP.

I think Kona is more of breakfast/lunch place than a dinner place, since Ohana is so close by. Go and try it for breakfast, I think you will like it better.

Those birds are nasty and fiesty especially in Epcot. Bummer you got unloaded on...must have been those turkey legs :rotfl:

Hi All!

Ok here is what I dislike about WDW....

Those pesky birds, especially in Epcot near that gross Mexican CS food place. They seem to over take that area and walkway.

Now tell me if this is a double standard: Why do they not serve you plastic straws and lids at AK but it is ok at the other parks? Why do they care more about the wildlife at AK more than the wildlife that shows up at MK, EPCOT or DHS parks? Maybe they are secretly hoping that they will kill of those nasty birds at the Mexican CS place.

Turkey Legs! Greasy and smelly.

The Tiki Room - how dare they mess with a classic.

I "1/2" dislike Fantasmic! - The Pocohantas scenes are so weak when you compare it to DL's Peter Pan scene. And even though I like the stadium seating, KB is right - but there is something that is so magical about seeing the Rivers of America at DL being transformed into this show.

They give you smaller servings of Dole Whip at WDW than at DL.

Seacrest

I love those birds. Mainly because I am an animal lover and I like the CS at mexico too. BOO FOR YOU not loving birds. JK;)

That is so funny that you say that because the one thing I didnt like with staying onsite was waiting for busses. I hate that. But in December it was PACKED and we had to wait forever for the scooters to load and then the 10 people in there famioy to follow. I have a double stroller so that made for a hard time.

I mean I feel bad for the people who need one. Really I do. But I think it is wrong for the whole family and friends and friends of friends to show up and take the whole bus. COME ON!!! Vent over:scared1:

Things I dont like at Disney

I really dont know. I dont like some restaurants. But We like Animal Kingdom. I want to try the bird show. I dont like the Great movie ride in DHS. That is BORING!!

OH ok I dont like the Lion King show but the Nemo show is AWESOME!!! You have to check it out. I like EE and I want to try the rapids.

SO I got no dress or bathing suit., The mall was packed and I cant shop like that. UGH.
I finished up on the girls and Dh. SO that is cool:thumbsup2

Off to make dinner. ttyl

Huggie, I like birds, but these birds at Epcot terrorize the patrons at the Mexican food place. I have seen peoples food swooped up by those flying thieves.

I guess I am spoiled with all the good Mexican food around here in LA, to me, the Epcot one was a bummer. I'd give it a second chance the next time I go there. What did you have there that you liked?

When we went into the Mexico Pavilion to ride the ride, we wished we would have known about the restaurant inside of there! We would tried that instead.

The GMS should be rehabbed and made into Disney/Pixar Classics. EOS.

Why didn't you like Lion King? The music, costumes, and energy is great! The only negative to me are the seats. I so wished we saw the Nemo show...we really messed up by missing that. :( Oh well, I will have to go back!

The Kali River Rapids ride is quite mild and we hardly got wet.

Check out the rapids ride out here at DCA. (Not my video) That one will get you soaked.

EE ROCKS!!!

I know I am just kidding with you Tom:lmao: ;) ;)

I know it sounds bad but the I think it is funny when they do that.:rotfl2: I am mean. The CS is mexico is better than the Table service at the mexican pavillon. That is gross. I dont even remember what we got to eat at CS but I remember it was much better.

Oh yeah...Tiki Room was a disappointment. I want my Tiki Gods to sing the Hawaiian War Chant, not doo-wop  And smaller servings of Dole Whip??? I hadn't noticed, but that's sacrilege! Hope they don't skimp on the Dole Whip Float...that's always my choice :goodvibes

HEY GUYS - I'M BACK!!!
WOO HOO!!! I GOT SCI FI DINE IN!!! FOR 11:30 ON THE 15TH!!! :yay:

Very cool! We didn't eat there, but stopped in late before they closed for "grown up" shakes with Kahlua and Bailey's...oh man...:cloud9:

Yep, humidity, ugh...and the teeny "love bugs"...
Long lines are bad anywhere, but I do love me some Fast Passes! :teleport:
I'm sorry you didn't like POFQ, because that's where we are staying!

Weel, I should have added that I don't like those dumb birds all over the parks either. One pooped on me in October 2006. And don't even get me started on the whole thing of the birds that are eating the Turkey legs... That just grosses me out.

Ewww, eek! Cannibal birds!!! :scared1:

That's okay about POFQ, Shelly, I know. I actually said oh I know Shelly will say POFQ when i posted the question, LOL.

Jo...please tell me why you like it...I need to hear something good, because we can't change it now :rotfl2: Besides, DH and I were really looking forward to staying in N'awlins...

As far as the scooter- I am all for any and all people who need it. I Would give them my place in line to get on a ride before me. But I just know in my heart of hearts that there are plenty of people who use them that don't need them. Case in point, that guy you talked about. Unbelievable.

I totally understand -- and I have seen the dreaded group of people discussing "OK, who is gonna ride in the wheelchair today?" My sister didn't use a scooter...she had an old fashioned push wheelchair when she got to go on her one and only visit to WDW last May. She was able to walk a little with a cane, but definitely needed that chair to get around, and it really makes me mad to see people using stuff like that because they think they will get special privleges! :sad2:

I guess I am spoiled with all the good Mexican food around here in LA, to me, the Epcot one was a bummer. I'd give it a second chance the next time I go there. What did you have there that you liked?

When we went into the Mexico Pavilion to ride the ride, we wished we would have known about the restaurant inside of there! We would tried that instead.

Yeah, the Cantina CS was the one CS we really didn't care for -- more spoiled Californians! But the ride in Mexico was closed when we went there, and I am sorry I missed it...that one and the Maelstrom in Norway, too. Gotta try those, even if they are cheesy :goodvibes

And I don't "dislike" IASW at WDW, but the outside of it is much prettier at DL ;) The inside is just as much fun at WDW, though!

Good Morning!!

I am taking the girls to see My Little Pony Live in the city today. They still don't have any idea. They are going to be so excited. Meghan adores My Little Pony.
:worship:

So that is what we are up to, what is everyone else doing?

good morning guys :goodvibes

checking in real quick before i am out for the day...

i won't get into too many details - but Bob was ridiculous and hilarious when i picked him up last night on the south side after his bachelor party... :rotfl:

now i am off to the banquet hall to make our final choices, so far we have decided on :

prime rib
chicken kiev
ham
panne w/ sundried tomato pesto
glazed carrots
green beans amandine

i need to get a mashed potato in there somehow to go with the beef - but i don't want to get rid of anything . .. . :sad1:

then off to sams and lunch with my parents ... wish me luck pixiedust:

Mornin-

Just got off the phone with WDW dining.

Couldn't get into Ohana for this may trip. Boo.

Got everything i wanted for the October trip- today was 180 days out- but we aren't doing any peincess breakfasts- Belle really doesn't eat too much so it would be a waste for us.

Anyway- out the door (well, after I shower) to soccer and then Mary cat and I are shopping this afternoon, I think.

Have a good day MAYers!

Shelly------- we want pics of the new 'do!!!!!!!!!!!

TTYL-

Jo:grouphug:
