You know, it's not even the price that upsets me so much (although I would have loved to get a discount), it's the whole experience that makes me so angry! :headache:

Shelly, that is such a bummer with all the booking trouble you had today.

They need a better system on that pin code program. You would think that they would mail you a postcard or send you an email so that you would have something in writing so that what happen to you would not happen.

I hope everything works out real soon!

:furious: :furious: :furious: I just can't stand to talk to people like that.

FYI - when I made my ressie yesterday, I asked for "connecting" rooms. The CM assured me, yes, she was reserving "connecting" rooms. Well, when the email confirmation came in, guess what? No "connecting" rooms, but "adjoining" rooms, which are not the same thing. "Connecting" have the door between the two rooms, "Adjoining" are rooms that are side by side but do not have the connecting door. So, I called back last night, and had a lovely CM named Kirby who corrected it for me and verifies that connecting and adjoinging are certainly different and he sent me an email verification of the change.

While my first CM was respectful, she just didn't listen and pay attention to what I asked for.

It can be very frustrating at times. I know I was steamed to have to call back last night to correct this. I fully expected a hassle, but was glad not have one.

Hang in there!

Do they guarantee you connecting rooms? I thought I read somewhere that it is only a request but not guaranteed. We are thinking about 2 connecting rooms at a Value for the next trip, but don't want to do it if they are not guaranteed to be connecting.

Correct it is a request only, but they 'try' real hard. That's why they give you the line about each room HAVING TO HAVE a person over 18 in the room. Believe me it's not fun working the front desk at DIsney World and having to be nice when they are yelling at you because the people on the phone told them it was guarenteed! After about 5 times of that happening I asked to be switched tot he concierge floor!!

Shelly - Now is the time to crank out two or three hundred sit-ups. Take out your frustration on your abs!!! :rotfl:

If you get like I get, you could do all kinds of exercise before you wind down.

:lmao:

I am in love with kick boxing. I just kick the fire out of that bag!!! :furious: Then I punch the fire out of it. After, I just feel great! :cloud9:

Yesterday my reservation said something like"Adjoining rooms requested but not guaranteed." Today it says, "CONNECTING ROOMS GUARANTEED FOR FAMILIES." Which is what it said last year and we got connecting rooms.

Then there is a disclaimer at the bottom:

ROOM LOCATION AND INFORMATION: Adjacent rooms, connecting rooms or specific room location and types of rooms or bedding are on a “request basis only” and are subject to availability at the time of check-in. These requests for specific room type or location may result in additional charges to be paid directly to the hotel. Disney owned and operated resort hotels and Disney Vacation Club resorts are smoke free environments. Smoking is allowed in designated outdoor smoking locations only. A room recovery fee will be charged for smoking in guest rooms, on balconies or on patios.

:confused3

As far as the connecting rooms- I do wonder why the confirmations say "connecting rooms guaranteed for families" if it's not actually true.

I think they do really try hard to get you what you request. i have heard of people moving resorts if they can't get connecting rooms with their young children. That would stink if you had to change and had your heart set on staying at a certain place.

Shelly- glad you emailed them. Even if nothing happens, at least you were able to vent a bit.;)

Shelly- Just out of curiosity, I looked to see what the dates were for these "codes" people are getting. No May dates at all...:confused3

Quote:
"What Dates Is It Good For?

These are the dates that have been reported for this offer.

January 06th to 17th
January 20th to 31st
February 24th to March 5th
March 30th to April 8th
August 10th to September 27th
October 19th to November 1st
November 9th to November 15th
December 7th to December 17th"

No May dates?????? That first CM must have been a bubble off plumb.

Um, okay, I just realized ya'll might not know that phrase.:rotfl:

Jo

ooo where are you finding these codes

it's pin codes either emailed or through snail mail. We got one in October for this year with the dates listed in my last post. That's what I used for our October trip. ours was only for 20%... I called a few times hoping for 40% but no luck. I got tired of trying and gave up.
