I think we have a few matches ~ Sun May 11th DTD and Monday May 12th Epcot! Maybe we will meet up before WCC!!

That reminds me. . . DH has a co-worker that he just recently met (works for a pretty large company). Actually the guy heard that DH was going to Disney and seeked him out to talk! Well anyway this guy is a huge Disney fan, goes at least twice a year. DH showed him our ADR list to get his opinion. He told him how great everything was, but did tell him a story about WCC. He likes the place but said one time he was there the CM's carried it a little too far and nearly had his son in tears. It was his birthday and they made him stand up in front of the entire restaurant and sing happy birthday to himself (alone) before they would bring him his dinner. Of course the boy was embarrassed and didn't want to do it (I think he was like 12 or 13 at the time), but they refused to bring them their food until he did it.

I was looking forward to this being a fun place, but I hope we don't have a bad experience. I think I will leave out the fact that it is our anniversary!

That would be Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster! Very fun! There is a height requirement for it though.

Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride - You put on Virtual goggles and "ride" your magic carpet thru the game. I stink at this game but think it is very fun! You feel like you are in the game.

Ride the Comix! - A lot like Aladdin's but you have a "sword" and fight comic book bad guys.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold - This is my favorite DQ game. You and you family enter a room that is a pirate ship. The walls are like movie screens. You wear 3-D goggles on this as well. Someone steers the ship and rest of you shoot cannons at the bad pirates to try to take their gold. The screen is always changing. Sea monsters try to attack your boat, you have to kill them. This game is so fun!!! I could play this all day. You feel like you are really on a boat and as the boat moves the scenery changes on the movie screens around you. We try to play this a lot. I would go to DQ for this game alone.

Invasion! An Alien Encounter - This is a lot like Pirates. You board a space ship. The windows looking out are movie screens and you shoot the bad guys sort of thing. Very fun as well.

CyberSpace Mountain - Create and ride your one of a kind rollercoaster. Both of my kids love this. I refuse to ride my sons rollercoaster. Too many loops!

Animation Academy - same as the one at DHS but very fun. My dd loves it!! You learn to draw disney characters.

There is an arcade section where you can play games for prizes. This area does cost extra. We do not do it.

We go for the virtual games mostly because they are something we cannot do anywhere else.:3dglasses

Sounds like fun! I think we might give it a try on our last day. I'm just afraid the kids will spot the arcade games and we'll end up spending a bunch of money on games! I'd rather just do the virtual games/rides.

Are there a lot of height restrictions? DS6 is hoping to reach 44" by then.

How long are the wait times for these virtual attractions?

Here is a better list of the attractions along with Height restrictions. It looks like there will be a couple of things your guys can't do.

We had the same issue a couple of years ago and I just took our daughter to do other things.

There are a lot of stand type video games like Pac-Man, etc. that your kids can play without paying extra. The area that you pay extra to play games are things you earn tickets at, sort of like at Chuck E Cheese where you earn tickets to get a prize. Hope that helps.

CyberSpace Mountain
With the help of Bill Nye the Science Guy, design your own roller coaster on a touch-screen computer. Physics are no object -- this is a roller coaster in space. When you're done, you can jump into a simulator and actually ride your creation in full 360-degree motion! Anyone can create a coaster, but you must be 51 inches tall to ride the simulator.

Virtual Jungle Cruise
Climb aboard a life-sized rubber raft with your friends and family, pick up a paddle and start rowing. On the screen in front of you, you'll see yourselves moving down a river during the age of the dinosaurs. The raft will pitch and roll along with the river, and watch out -- you may get splashed!

Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride
Straddle a magic carpet, put on a virtual reality helmet, and you're transported into the world of Aladdin. Collect precious jewels along the way on your search for the magical scarab, and when you find it, you'll have to reckon with Jafar and rescue the Genie!

Ride the Comix
Mistress Khan, Leader of All Supervillains, instructs you in the pre-show for this attraction. You'll wear a virtual reality helmet and use a laser sword to do battle with supervillains in a 3-D comic strip world. (Here's a picture.)

Invasion! An ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter
In your virtual-reality spaceship, you and your friends will team up to steer the ship over an alien planet, rescue the human colonists there, and destroy hostile aliens.

Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters
These are the bumper cars of the future. Two people team up in each car -- one to steer and one to shoot balls at the targets on the other cars. If you're hit, your car will spin out of control! There's a 51-inch height requirement for this attraction.

Animation Academy
Sit at an electronic drawing pad and take a lesson in drawing a Disney character from a live instructor. You can purchase your drawing when it's finished, if you like.

Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam
In this pinball game, you are the ball! Stand on a giant-sized joystick and watch your progress as you steer yourself among the other live balls on an enormous screen. There's a 48-inch height requirement for this attraction.

Pirates of the Caribbean - Battle for Buccaneer Gold
This attraction, based on Pirates of the Caribbean at the Magic Kingdom, allows you to steer a pirate ship while the rest of your group mans the cannons. Travel over a virtual waterfall and capture gold from the other pirate ships! There's a 35-inch height requirement for this attraction.

Also, we try to be there at opening and have not experienced long lines. We try to hit all the virtuals early then let the kids play some of the video games. We usually eat lunch there. The Cheesecake factory does their food and it is very good.

Ugh.... Just got my email from Disney with our reservation at the new AP price. Somehow the Connecting Rooms request was removed.

So yet another call.

Good Luck ;)

Shelly...

Do you want to call Disney reservations for me?

:rolleyes1

I know how you love to call them.

Well, since Shelly wouldn't call for me... :rolleyes1

I called.

They said the connecting rooms is still on the ressie. They are having a problem with the system today and it is not showing on the reservations email/online system..

Oh... on my first call I was disconnected from the CM. :confused3

They must have thought it was Shelly calling!

:rotfl:

You know I am just kidding!

:goodvibes

That reminds me. . . The CM last night said that I would get a confirmation email showing the ticket upgrade. . . nothing yet. :confused3

Thanks for all the great info on DQ NewCrew! I can't believe that some of the virtual attractions have a 51" height requirement. Good grief, I'm only 60"!!!!

Well... I hate to tell you but my email has already came with my new info on it from this morning.

Try this, click on your old email confirmation... See what comes up.

My new information comes up by clicking on my old email. It might save you a call.

What would we do without each other!

I am not sure why the Pinball thing has a height requirement. It seems really lame to me anyway. I am sure I am just not smart enough to know what to do on it. Also, if you are very thin, it doesn't work well either. Our dd is so thin, I don't think it worked for her.

The roller coaster one, needs the requirement. If you build a coaster with all these upside down loops and barrel rolls, you better be ready to ride it.

The Buzz lightyear thing, has one. I am not sure why. I can't remember how the seat fits you, it may be the seat belt or somthing.

So the playdate is over. It was ok. The litttle girl that was over is nice but doesnt listen much. So that was difficult.

Nope, nothing. Old one still says 7 day base tickets. No new e-mail. She confirmed my e-mail address and said she would send confirmation of the change. Why can't anyone there do their job right??? :sad2:
