We went to DHS studios this morning.
You know how love to be there at park opening.
Well, I have been a little disstressed the last few days because we have been on the 8:10 bus at Pop! rather than the 8:00 bus for park opening.
Well this morning, we were at the bus stop at 7:55 and were on the 8 a.m. bus. It was wonderful.
So we arrive at the park and get a spot at an empty turnstile. We are extremely happy.
Just then a CM wanders up and we just happened to meet her last year when we were at WDW. We think her name was Ana. She is from Columbia. We notice her because most Disney CM name tags will say something like:
Joe
London, England
but hers says:
Ana
Columbia
So we chat with Ana awhile.
After all, we have about 45 minutes until they let us in the park.
Ana passes out some maps and time guides. We each get our own today as I don't like to share mine. Somehow, mine will get lost or my time guide gets lost and it just makes for an unhappy mama. And if mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.
Well, Ana comes back with another CM who is in a guest relations uniform.
We are all chatting with each other except for my dd who is hanging on the gate and maybe trying to talk to the CMs or maybe just talking to herself. None of us are sure and she can't remember.
So the guest relations CM says to my dd, "Are you talking to me?"
DD gives it one of these:
We then apoligize and my dh notices that the guest relations person is from Casablanca, Morocco. My ds just did a HUGE report on Morocco, due April 11, which had completely stressed me out because he had all school year to do it and then only mentioned it during spring break which was the last week in March. So my DH thinks, "Hey, this is a great opportunity for our son to use something he has learned, and the more knowledgable you are, the more you can relate to people thoughout the world." Ya da Ya da.
Plus, we are just passing time while in line.
So DH tells DS, "Look, she is from Morocco."
And DS says, "Hey, I just did a report on your country."
And she says, "Well, what did you learn about Morocco?"
And DS gives it one of these:
I was proud beyond words.
So then she says,"Do you know where Morocco is located?"
And he said, "South of Spain, in North Africa to the west. Down to the Southeast, there is an area considered the Western Sahara that is controlled by Morocco."
"The people of Morocco are Berbers that live in the high Atlas Mountains and North African Muslim Arabs."
She then asked, "What are the languages of Morocco?"
He paused and said, "French."
And she said, "Yes and what else."
And he said, "Arabian?"
And she said, "Close enough. Arabic."
So then, she said to my DH. "Do you have your passes?"
And he said, "Yes."
And she said, "Come on into the park."
And then the magic began!!!
