Problem is it would be for most likely 2nd week of Aug.... ewwwww hot weather....

Sounds like fun, except for the August heat. . . :scared1:

i know first i'm gonna see if we are really going to do it.... then i'll convince her to change when we go.... Aug will be crazy with heat and crowds..... not looking forward to that...

Soooooooooo-

another day, almost finished!

Off for the night..... tomorrow we will be one day closer to the magic!

have a great night!

Jo

Okay, so I've got 12 pair of shorts and 2 capri's packed for me. . . . Is that enough??? Plus one sundress. . . .And 4 pair of shoes. . . I haven't picked out my shirts yet. . .

That sounds good. Are you going to do laundry while you are there? I always change 2x a day.

NC- my goodness- what a nightmare witht the transportation! That's what I have always been afraid of- no control over what is going on. if that had've happened to us, Mark would've FREAKED.:lmao: Glad to know the cab came to your rescue- I bet you would've paid $40 just to be out of that situation!:rotfl:
Your AK day sounded wonderful. Glad your DH took matters ino his own hands with those kids- that's just so sickening when people act that way- NO CLASS.
Have a great Epcot day and Take pics with Sulley- (HI SULLEY!!!!!:) ).
We love Epcot...might be our fave.:cloud9:

Jo

I think my DH would have spent $100 for that cab.

There was no way he was going back on a bus that night.

My ds said, " I think dad would rather spend money than spend time (on a bus.)"

:rotfl:

Me, I would still be riding the "free" bus trying to get back to Pop!

:dance3:

I forgot to tell you all the best part of our weekend!

We went to a new Sonic!!!!!!!!!!!! For those who have never heard of Sonic- it's a fast food place that you only drive through, or pull up and park and order- then a girl comes out on roller skates and "hangs" your food off of your window- ala 1950's style burger joint.
http://www.sonicdrivein.com/index.jsp

Anyway, it's a SOuthern thing- and now they have one here in PA!!!!!!!!! I was dying. It has the best slushes anywhere! I used to take the kids every day (boy did that get expensive) after i picked them up from school in Arkansas! NC- I KNOW you know about Sonic-
LOL- I used to scrounge for change on the floor of my car and under the seats- justto feed my Slush addiction.
ummm, Route 44 Cherry Slush with cherries in the bottom. YUMM-O.

Anyway, the kids were bouncing, yelling they were going to Sonic.
It was very funny.

If you ever see one- veer over five lanes of traffic, just to get to it. It's well worth it.

(PS- They have them in Florida!):goodvibes

Jo

I love Sonic! I go about 3 times a week. Happy hour is 2 to 4. Half price drinks.

In High School, we went everyday after school to get a coke.

It was THE THING to do!

Where is everybody?????

I have a quick question for everybody..... sorry if it is long but i need advice....

My Dh has a DS from a previous relationship... last year we took him with us to WDW but he lived with us at the time. Now he has moved back to his mothers house. it would be ok but the reason he moved back is because they were going bring charges against her because she is a welfare lady has been on it since he was born he is 16 now. so anyways she convinced him to move back and he stopped talking to us for about 3 months. We have started talking again and he comes over for weekends when he wants. I was wondering if i should tell him to come with us. I would make it hard cause i will have him or his mother pay his airfare and spending money and we'll pay the vacation. afterall he is still part of the family. don't know what to do... my DH was really upset and hurt when he left. He actually told his DS that if he left that any extras that we did we will not include him in it but he didn't care and left anyway. He left last August....just to throw this out there... my DH has ALWAYS taken care of his son financially and emotionally wihtout the use of the court system... last april she went to court to ask for child support.... my dh didn't mind but she screwed herself because my DH get paid a lot in cash so not all of it goes on this paychecks so based on that they only awarded her $40 a week.... can u beleive all that hassle for that.... she is what you would really say is a Ghetto hispanic woman.... would u just leave it alone? just go us 3 or would u tell him to come along as well...

I hope it all works out. You are so thoughtful of your DSS.

i know mari! i get soooo jealous of NC's trip reports... happy & excited but still jealous... i wonder where they are right now???

she may be meeting sully as we speak!! :yay:

Let's see...

:rolleyes1

I did meet Sulley today!!!!

It was the highlight of my day!

She was so cute in her little uniform.

And you know what?

She has the most wonderful voice. I could listen to her talk all day.

OK - I have assigned a little voice to you all. So when I read your post, I read it in the voice I assigned to you in my head. Isn't that funny?

Sulley has a sweet wonderful voice, so now I will read her posts in her REAL voice.

She is also our hero of the day. My DS forgot his lanyard in the cubby on his M:S ride, Sulley went back and in and got it for us. She's our hero!!! :woohoo:

We had a great day at Epcot today.

We were there at rope drop. And headed straight for Soarin' with the masses. It was not as pushy today as AK was yesterday at opening. We had a ton of fun. Rode a lot of rides, and guess what?

We ate at Le Cellier!!!!

I called last night and was able to score a 2:20 ADR!

:woohoo:

So we toured longer and have come back to Pop! for the night!

We are having such a great time!

Wow Patricia, You scored big time today, Meeting Sulley and Lunch at Le Cellier. You are a Rockstar:rockband: :rockband: Glad your day was good. How was lunch at Le Cellier? I have an adr scheduled. Is it pretty much the same?

Awesome report NC! Glad you got to see Sulley and eat at LC.

I love Soarin'! I could ride that all day. Did you ride Test Track? I loved that ride so much -that ride is so much fun.

Thanks for the updates!

Le Cellier seemed a lot the same to me. We are not on the DDP, so we are out of pocket. We do have the DDE card which saves us 20%.

The bread sticks were as always wonderful. I think we could eat the pretzel ones all day.

There is not a side salad on the lunch menu, but dh and I both ordered one without a problem. The Caesar side salad was huge, we could have split it. And in fact gave some to our daughter and son.

I love the fillet mignon and DH loves it too. We both ordered that. It comes with risotto but I subbed the cream cheese mashed potatoes. It was so good.

DS ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad and loved it. He also had a side of Baked Mac N Cheese from the adult menu. I thought it tasted fab, but it just wasn't as good as Kraft in box (the powdered kind) so he didn't care for it!

DD ordered from the kids menu, even though she is 10 and we told them she was 10. There just wasn't anything on the adult menu she wanted. She ordered celery and carrots for her app., spaghetti with marinara for her entree and the kids ice cream sundae for dessert. She loved it all! The ice cream sundae is an asssemble it yourself sort of deal with choc. syrup, sprinkles, and nuts. She loved putting it together herself.

Also, the salad was a little dry for our taste so we asked for extra dressing. My dd wanted extra marinara and we were brought that as well. I guess we are just saucy!

:rotfl:

Dh ordered the Chocolate - on -Chocolate Whiskey Cake and ds and I split the Chocolate Moose. I preferred the moose but DS and DH loved the cake. Both were wonderful and I would order either again without hesitation.

Best meal of our trip so far and outstanding service from Charlotte! She was wonderful!

I thought of you Sea when we rode Soarin that you experience CA every day. What a wonderful state! I just love the smells of Soarin. I clap each time at the end of it. It just gives me the warm fuzzies. We rode it twice today.

We did ride Test Track. When we went there the first time, it was down and the fast pass line had a 1 hour wait! :scared1:

No Thank you!

So we rode the Universe of Energy. I just think Ellen is too funny.

We went to TT after lunch and waited maybe 15 minutes in the FP line to get into the movie part of it. It did stop at one point while we were in line and we thought. Great, here we go again. But before we got out of line, it started back up! :woohoo: So we rode it.

We also rode Spaceship Earth. We loved it. It has some new enhancements. All I can say is, you need to ride this. I am not going to spoil it, but ride it at least once on your next trip.

Fantastic Plastics is no more. We love that silly robot making deal. So no more robots for the NewCrews. We also loved racing them!

Well, I am off to play some air hockey in the arcade. I am sure I will lose.

Again!

Ha!

Tomorrow is DHS! :woohoo:

Oh, I also rode M:S - green and orange.

Green is really fun, but orange (the more intense) is still my fav.

If spinning makes you  ride the green! I think you will like it!

GREAT TR NC.... love the daily updates.....

I'm glad you got to meet Sulley..... Hopefully i see her when i go in May. Good job on the LC lunch. I have a dinner there in May. I'm hoping my DD likes something on their menu.

Laundry report - To wash a load is $2.00 and to dry a load is $2.00. The machines only take quarters but there is a change machine in the laundry room.

They do sell tide, cheer, bounce, downy, and clorax 2. The cost is $1.00. Not sure how much you get for $1.00 because I brought my own.

DH said he only had to run the dryer once for each load.

hey guys! nc - you are very thorough... i love it :3dglasses living vicariously through your vacation is awesome :goodvibes

i also have a voice that goes along with everyone and an imaginary celebrity look a like.... p.s. you were supposed to be brunette and bigger than you are... hahaha

have a great trip and keep us posted :goodvibes

so, i went to meet pastor Doug tonight and we finalized almost everything...
so, it's finally all starting to come together :yay:

i just had a pre wedding meltdown a little while ago though - i didn't really want to bring it up but i have been battling some demons that i wasn't going to mention, but seeing how mari opened up and layed out her issues with everyone earlier finally let me see that it's ok for me to just get it off my chest here with all of you guys:

BOTH of my parents have been battling some problems with addiction for a while now, they have been drinking for as long as i can remember... it was tolerable for a while because they are "functioning" alcoholics and occasional drug users but - we (the kids) didn't get into their problems... that's just who they were. about two years ago my mom got really bad and started doing some hard drugs... i mean it was a BAD situation... we didn't know if we were ever going to see her again after some of the stunts that she pulled... she eventually agreed to go into rehab for alcohol AND drugs. when she came out after a month she seemed like a changed person... she was telling us all about what she had learned and why she did what she did and so on... well, she started drinking again after a while - slowly, just one or two here and there, well, if any of you have had experience with alcoholics - you know that they can NEVER have a drink again... my dad really wasn't much help for her at this point - he didn't understand that in order to help her he had to quit everything also - and that was something that he was just not willing to do... she progressivly got worse and is now just as bad as she was before she went in the first time... also over the past few weeks there has been some pretty strong evidence that she has been seeing someone that she met at the bar behind my dads back...

all of this is why i had my sister spend the night this past weekend and why i just couldn't focus on scrapbooking for my guest book or anything else over the past few weeks

he kicked her out and then she came back home and he tried to forgive her, but after she came home he realized that she just hasn't hit bottem and isn't going to change so he kicked her out again... she's just lying and denying everything and is unwilling to change her ways and admit fault.

so, this has all been going on while i am trying to plan this wedding basically alone. my mom hasn't really been there to help me with any of it, because her priorities were obviously elsewhere... i'm not bitter about it - i understand that it's a disease and that it's been difficult for the both of them as well...

i just don't want any animosity between families at the wedding and i am just sick of dealing with it all. i am stressed to my absolute limit and trying to be there and listen to my dad who is heartbroken about his wife cheating on him, and i am really trying to hear my mom out and believe what she is saying to me, but after being lied to so many times in my life it is really difficult to trust either of them... this doesn't exactly seem like the best way for me to start a marriage - does it? i obviously have some serious issues right now and i just needed to get all of that off my chest...

i'm not looking for sympathy from you guys for me - that's not why i wrote this - i needed to tell someone! and to ask to just please pray for them that they can get better and start to enjoy what has been there right in front of them all along... a family who loves them and who is willing to stand behind them through anything

ok - back to fun stuff!

14 days =

:goodvibes Good morning MAYers! :goodvibes

Another beautiful sunny day here in PA!! :cool1:

Huggie 17 days!! Mari 18 Days!!

So glad to hear you are having such a great trip NC! That is so cool that you got to meet Sulley!! And so funny how everyone has a "voice"! :rotfl: Have a great day at DHS. Can't wait to hear about it - I love that park!!

RF - OMG I am so sorry you are going through this right now. What a terrible thing to be dealing with. Please know that we are all here for you if you need to talk and we will definitely all be praying for your situation to get better.

That sounds good. Are you going to do laundry while you are there? I always change 2x a day.

No, I don't plan on doing laundry while we are there. . . Maybe I should pack more clothes!! Sometimes I change outfits during the day, but not always. . . We usually only do the parks in half days though.
