Is your Mom's timeshare RCI???

If it is-- you're in luck!!!:goodvibes

My in laws have two time shares and we keep telling them we want to get one of their weeks to trade and go back to the Sheraton. It really is beautiful there.

Mornin!

Sadly, Huggie, i don't think it is all inclusive. I know of a couple of hotels that are, but don't know if they are RCI. One of them is the Intercontinental, which is right close to the Marina.
Some of Mark's co workers stayed there and said liked it.http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ic/1/en/hotel/SJDHA/at-a-glance

The Sheraton is a bit further out from downtown. You'd have to take a taxi- about $5-10 r/t. The Palmilla is even further away.

There are two towns: Cabo San Lucas and Los Cabos. You get to Los Cabos before Cabo san Lucas, when driving from the airport.

And the food and drinks are so expensive, dang it. Although, it might have changed since we were there- we went in 2005. They have a roof top restaurant that is so much fun! There's a mariachi band there and we sat around, eating tacos and drinking sangria for hours.

The water we drank was bottled. Fiji... love it. It was something like $12 a bottle.

Drinks were high- I think OOP for drinks, lunches and one dinner it came to around $400, but I don't remember exactly. We went to a neat restaurant there in Cabo, let me see if I can find it for you. Really cool place.

Then of course, we went to Cabo Wabo...http://www.cabowabo.com/cwa/history.php?
a bar owned by Sammy Hagar of Van Halen...
his house band came and performed for us at the Palmilla the last night of the trip. it was funny- I had them playing Metallica songs...:rotfl:

We went snorkeling, on a catamaran cruise, and of course, we did the spa, but not at the Sheraton.

Hopefully, you can go! You would love it.

Truly, I like Cabo BETTER than Maui! We went to Hawaii in 2001- Drew was a baby and I hated leaving him.

Here's where we stayed there-http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties/KapaluaMaui/Default.htm
just in case anyone wants to go there. It was beautiful- we had a great time, but coming from the East Coast, it was such a long trip!!! BY the time we got used to the difference in time, it was time to go home. I will say, some of the best Creme Brulee I have ever had was here. It's my fave dessert- and they served it in baby pineapples!!! So good. YUM.

We left Arkansas when we went to Cabo and got there in about 4 hours- with a layover in Dallas.

Ahhhh- lovely memories...
Jo

uh oh - - - you asked for it.... once i get started it's hard to stop me :rotfl2:

well, we're getting married in a non denominational church that my best friend sarah's (and one of my bridesmaids) dad is the pastor and will be marrying us :lovestruc it's pretty tiny (which was a BAD choice given there will be about 200 guests) :scared1: ... we went with this reception hall that was all inclusive (i guess i'm just that kinda girl, given the recent vacation chat as well haha :rotfl:) it comes with all the food, drinks :goodvibes and cake, table settings, centerpieces... etc... we're having a buffet with prime rib, chicken kiev, ham (yuck  , but DFi wanted it) & penne pasta with sun dried tomato pesto and some other misc. side dishes... our cake is 2 flavors choc cake w/ choc mousse filling and white cake with cherry almond filling :goodvibes

it's nice but not crazy over the top which I love  about it
http://www.hamptonbanquethall.com/

*ummmm, i have 6 attendants - 3 of my best friends, my sister casey, my cousin jessica, and bob's cousin alyse is our flower girl princess:
*bob has 5 attendants - 2 of his best friends, my brother jake, my cousin mike, and his cousin danny (no ring bearer :guilty:, but oh well)
*the ceremony is at 3:30, the reception at 6:00 - i got the best DJ because I want it to be the biggest party that anyone will ever see!!! :woohoo:
*we are getting a limo bus so my BEAUTIFUL dress won't get in the way of scooting into a regular limo

and... our next obsticle is choosing our song to dance to... we have it narrowed down, but can't really decide.... :sad2:

:goodvibes :goodvibes i love wedding talk :goodvibes :goodvibes

Good Morning!!

I am so sick:sick:  I have a bad cold. That I have been fighting all week and it has won. I am going to the doctor today.

Ok Huggie I hope you feel better soon I hate being sick. I stayed home tody because my DD was up all last night coughing and with a fever so i decided to stay home and will take her to DR later.... I get scared with her because last year she had those seizures that landed in the hospital for 5 days....

uh oh - - - you asked for it.... once i get started it's hard to stop me :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 plans........ I hope you have a lot of fun. And I hope you don't get a headache picking out your song.....

What was eeryone else's wedding song????

RF- I think I know where your banquet hall is!!!!! When we lived in Fox Chapel, we would go down Route 8 all of the time!

I love weddings!!!!:goodvibes

When we got married, we couldn't afford a whole bunch so we had our reception at the church. blech. but it ended up beautiful, which surprised me, haha.

Your meal sounds yummy. Good choices!
What are your colors?

It sounds like you have everything under control.:goodvibes Have you had a lot of showers?

Jo

our songs are narrowed down to 4:

*SUNDAY MORNING - MAROON 5 (WE WERE LEANING TOWARD THIS ONE AT FIRST, BUT PROB GONNA USE IT FOR BRIDAL PARTY INSTEAD)
*STAY WITH YOU - JOHN LEGEND
*COLLIDE - HOWIE DAY (MY FAV)
*DON'T CHANGE - MUSIQ SOULCHILD (BOB'S FAV)... but it kinda reminds me of my ex... not that i still feel that way about him, but it just reminds me of being with him... but i don't really want to tell bob that right before our wedding, so i just keep shying away from that song - even though i love it - so i don't know what to do  ...

Awww, Mari- i hope little cutie feels better soon. This weather!!!! Darn it all! We all need to have loads of sunshine so we can throw open the windows and get rid of all the musties and bugs going around.

Our wedding- we didn't have any dancing- it was at the church- but we had a killer band- that played all the old "crooner" music- think Michael Buble`-:lovestruc

We spent the most money on my cake- it was over $900, and Mark was :scared1: but I wouldn't budge!:rotfl:

we had a harpist play at the ceremony- and this is so sweet-
I secretly told her that when Mark walked out to come to the altar, right before I came down, to start playing "Some Day, my Prince Will Come". Aww, makes me cry thinking about it. I had been through so much, being a single Mom-
there wasn't a dry eye in the place.

Weddings- i love them.
Been known to crash a few too! :rotfl: WITH my Mom!!!!!!:rotfl:

My advice... coming from an old married lady, LOL-
on the day of your wedding, you will be so emotional that any reminder of anyone but you and your new Husband and the life that lays ahead of you together will be so far removed that you won't even hear the music as you dance. I'm not lying. If that's the song he wants- choose it, and allow the memory of your first dance together be the thing you cherish, not the music you danced to.:goodvibes

Jo

OOOOOHHHHH we are also having a harpist!!!!! I almost forgot that part!!!! ho w could i forget... that was the one thing that i wasn't going to budge on!!!:lmao: i was going to have her sneak some classic disney songs into the prelude and possibly when the bm walk, but i have to hear them first...
