I dont know if they didnt get back on but they were tanoy ing for some couple and we left late because of them but I assumed they turned up eventually.

Lindsay

We were on deck 4. They were waiting for 4 people. 2 of them came in at 10:32 p.m. and said they were having too much fun with the wine and food. It was a good thing that DCL was looking for a second couple that had a kid on board or we would have already left.

The other couple never got on even though they called them numerous times and even checked their stateroom. I was told that they had a kid on board and that is why DCL waited the extra 30 minutes. Of course, waiting to depart an extra 30 minutes then cost DCL extra port fees. They should pass those fees along to the couple who missed the boat.

Don't know how it ended up at the next port, but that is the information we were given.

Hello All
I have just finished my letter to DCL (mostly Kudos to many great CMs with a bit of constructive criticism thrown in) and am wondering if anyone knows if it is better to snail mail it, email it or both (and if both can it be the same letter or do I need to mix it up a bit?).
Thanks

Enjoyed the wonderful meals every night. I know that some have equated them to frozen food at costco, but I thought they were great.
My only complaint was that they changed the chocolate slipper.
The picture on the left is what it looked like 2 years ago. On the right, 2 weeks ago.
what.jpg

The chefs need to rethink this one.

On the September one the slipper was the first pick too. I can see why they changed it though as most people didn't actually eat the whole slipped and the new desert people probably eat rather than just look at (I admit I ordered one last time and didn't eat it just took photos)

Oh my goodness....the drama of it all!!

I almost feel bad for making jokes about that couple who were getting left now......but that night when they were making announcement after announcement me and Jason and Debbie and her mom and Scott and Lynn were wildly amused by it all!!

Ok!

I have uploaded the second week of pictures :surfweb: There are ALOT of fireworks pictures. So if you go through those quickly then you have most of the show LOL

Again, if there are any pictures people would like, please let me know. I will be doing the captions on both of the albums soon.

Here it is: Magic to the Med Photo Album Part 2

Debbie

The photos are fantastic! Thanks for sharing.

Yeah but I have to confess....you can ask Rob & Chris and Jason to confirm....I really enjoyed eating that fondant sheet they put the little slipper on this time! :rotfl:

We ordered the slipper excitedly expecting to see the lovely one we had seen photos of in real life and were so dissapointed. Oh well, over all still great stuff to us.

OK I can barely look at all those pics Deb posted without choking up and waxing nostalgic......

So here's my question, Deb----if we want a few (or maybe an inappropriately large number! :cool1: :cool1: ) of your pictures sent to us digitally do you want me to make a list of their filenames? And email it to you? To what addy?

Of course you already know you were one of my heroes on this cruise...but you've right to the head of the pack now!!;)

I'm wondering if all of us on the double dip throw lanyars and other goodies to the wind and start a Dbe's photo team can we get enough of us together to all chip in 30 bucks and pay Deb's way so we have the best photos ever agian:lmao:

I already tried to pressure her into coming with us and she had some lame-o excuse about having to work that time of year cuz it's hurricane season (and she works for the red cross)....Imagine the nerve of putting her career and the wellness of hurricane victims above the experience of travelling with us again!! ;)

Didn't you tell her we are SAILING in hurricane season? She might be able to work right there on the ship:lmao:

All those stairs and dancing at Rockin' Bar D seems to have paid off for us. Dave came home exactly the weight he left at and I actually lost 2 pounds:woohoo: But I am still looking to loose a bit. I didn't quite get into that pink barbie dress for this cruise but I figure I have more than a year to get into it for the Double Dip. The sad thing is I could loose all I need and then some by just dropping drinking COke I bet, but I haven't had the willpower to do it yet:rolleyes1

Hadley - I will be with you on that diet! I have to give up soda too, but it is soooo hard! I miss everyone and now Abby and I have the cold. We would still do the cruise again. By the way, DCL called me about all the clothes that I left - it turned out to be 6 tops, 2 sweats and a bathing suit and they said they have some things put away and will match it up and hopefully send it out tomorrow!!!! I am sooo excited!

Man that's a lot of stuff. You must have been making room for all of those medals!:lmao:

Okay, we will have to be the official no soda support group. I need HELP (yes, I know, in more ways than one :-)

That's true....she could write it off as a work expense actually..."Director of the National Red Cross....I really MUST be aboard the Magic next September so that I can provide front-line services in case of a hurricane. I will submit the information on my expenditures voucher." :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yes, Eric, I agree with you. Deb, your pictures were great and I am going to order some. I am happy to say that I do not have any brothers or sisters, but after this cruise, I have all the brothers and sisters that I have dreamed of. You guys are the best and I would love it if Deann can comed on the double-dipper! Lets go Jerry, we are waiting for the sign up. Buckeye Gal on the Double-dipper board is already threatening to steal my medals - I NEED YOU!!!:)

Hi All!

Well, I think I'm all caught up on the reading as we left a few days before the cruise and came back a few days after. The stopover in London was nice. I enjoyed seeing the sights, but the weather was icky! Turned lovely the day we left!

Our flight home was long, but okay. We are 9 hours from Barcelona and 8 from London, so we only had to figure out the 8 hours. We just ended up staying up for about 24 hours. For the first few days we (all but the teenagers!) were waking up an hour early, so not bad! This was my biggest concern.

It's not great to be home; I liked it better on the ship. The ship rocked me to sleep every night. We came home to a jungle, too. I'm not caught up with my "work" (I'm a travel agent) or the house work! Ugh!

It is good to see poeple posting. Everyone really made this trip special! The kids, and Mike and I, too, looked forward to getting back to the cabin to see what was new. Thank you All!

Lori

We're home!!! I still feel like I'm on the ship. I just keeping rolling and rolling. I wonder when it'll stop?? We got home last night. We flew Swiss Air to Zurich. I highly recommend Swiss Air - nice wide seats. We didn't have any trouble at BCN but we got there 3 hours early. We spent a wonderful week in Switzerland trying to find Heidi before we came home. Our flight home on United went smoothly. I just can't get my body back on our time zone. I woke up that last Saturday morning on the ship with a cold. I lived on Tylenol and Hall's cough drops for 4 days before I felt better. I think a lot of us caught it.

What wonderful, wonderful memories - they'll last a lifetime. I met so many wonderful people. The cruise was fantastic but the disboarders made it so special. I tend to lurk so I didn't meet everyone but the ones I did meet were the BEST. Special thanks to Linda for getting us all organized and calling our staterooms to remind us of times and everything else she did. All of you who contributed to the lanyards - they were great and what a big hit on the ship. Thank you so much for providing them for so many of us.A sweet lady from Toronto asked me where I got mine. I explained to her about the Disboard group providing them under Ken's excellent leadership. She told me she had gone into the shop to buy one and the shop manager told her that Disney didn't sell them that it was a "special" group on board. I told her I would give her my husband's lanyard (yes, I did have a husband even though he was never with me) as he didn't wear his. She was so pleased with the lanyard. We exchanged e-mail addresses so I'm hoping I have a new friend in Toronto. I loved all the little gifts. I'm just like a little kid. I guess that's why I love Disney so much - I couldn't wait to get back to our room to see what was in my fish extender. Brooklyn, how in the world did you get all you got done before the cruise and still manage to get us all a big candy bar with fantastic pictures on it. The wrapping is on my fridge. I still chuckle when I think of your Marine husband pushing the stroller full of candy bars while you were checking off cabin numbers as you delivered them.

Debbie - the pictures are super. I enjoyed meeting you and your Mom. You and Linda are definitely our "Rachel". You kept us all going.

Susie - tea was fun. I was so glad you went with me. Good luck with your new career. I hope you can guide a group to Switzerland as it was absolutely gorgeous. I would love to be a travel guide there. Good to hear about your grandson and glad your husband survived without you.

Every evening I looked for Erik and Jason and Rob and Chris when it was picture time - just to check out the ties and great outfits. You guys really know how to dress. You all take great pictures (model types) - hope you bought a lot of them.

Deanna - You are so talented. Sometimes you meet someone who just sticks in your mind and you are that kind of person. You are an amazing lady and what a great Mom. Every excursion we took your boys were so good. All of our excursions were great. I was so pleased with all of them. I'm sure you and your girls will have a great time together - whatever cruise you take. The other cruisers better watch out - you make fantastic "potato race cars" and you look pretty "hot" as a pirate. Yes, I'm e-mailing the shop girl (Sophia) in Gibraltar. She is such a Disney fan - she is craving Cinderella things so we'll send a care package soon. Hopefully, she can someday come to Disneyworld and spend some time with us. If you get to Orlando please PM me and I'll treat you to tea at the Grand.

It was great that Carolyn (First Timer's) got to dance on talent night. I thought she did a great job representing our group. I sure used their survival kit - how unique!!

Thanks to all who played my trivia game - it was fun. My husband would have killed me if I had tried to bring home those candy globes. Kelly, when life settles down for you I'll get in touch so maybe you can give me pointers about bringing my 5 year old grandson to Disneyland next May.

We cruise at Christmas with our family - neither my daughter or I want to spend the holidays in the kitchen so we let Disney do the cooking for us. I still have my fingers crossed that in December they announce that the Magic will go to Alaska in 2009. I'm sure Captain Tom is tired of me "bugging" him with that question. I'm sure I asked about the Magic going to Alaska at least 5 times on the cruise.

If any of you you get to Disneyworld drop me a PM and if there is anything I can help you with I will try to do it. It was great meeting so many of you.

Oh, Anna, you are so lovely, inside and out! I have the biggest smile on my face right now. The first few days I came home, I kept looking for you as I rounded a corner, since on the boat, you always seemed to be there, sparkling cheerfully. I miss running into you. I'm glad you were there for many of my happy moments on the cruise, even the silly time with Oscar and Simone. (They would make beautiful babies!!!) I do hope to see you sometime and tea sounds lovely. I never did get to see the ribbon you bought, either! I hope you can make something nice with it.

Such concentration! What could be so interesting?
