Oh, speaking of ANKLES! Yesterday Patrick came home from the workshop for Disabled Adults and he was in so much pain in his feet and ankles! We thought he just had a cramp, but they are both swollen, and so today he's going to the orthopedist! I'm sure it's nothing but it needs looked at before we go.....it's always something! :scared1:

:scared1: Does his toe still hurt also? Poor Patrick--please let him knw we are sending pixie dust his way for his feet/ankles.

I have been somewhat of a lurker and am not on any "official" lists, but I did notice Eller had mentioned a possible Bible Study on Monday. My family would be interested in this if it is OK. Thanks

ATTENTION DISNEY PASSENGERS

I am terribly behind on my packing so I have asked Disney to delay departure one week. Everyone booked on a future Magic Cruise, please adjust your schedules accordingly.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Dear Boss Type Person,

Due to circumstances beyond my control I will be back a week later,

See ya then......

That should work :woohoo: :woohoo:

Anyone know the answer?

What can we expect with temperature as we cross the atlantic?

I believe it will be warm in FL and Castaway Cay and then again warm in Spain. Correct? Not sure though what the winds and temperature will be at sea for six days???

Thanks for helping as I plan for appropriate clothing.

Beth

Anyone know the answer?

i think the temps at sea will be cooler than in the caribbean...i plan on packing a light jacket/sweater for on deck, especially at night....overall the temps should be nice in port i think!

just glanced at the 10 day weather forecast for Nassau.....it predicts scattered thunderstorms on May 13......i hope it changes! :wizard: :beach:

Back to the whole logistics at the port thing... I noticed that the cruise before us on the Magic appears to be a May 3 7 night western (looked at the cruise meets threads). So those passengers would get off May 10th, which would preclude us from "picking up" someone at the port on May 12th.

At that point, for those who want to get there before 10, do we line up in our cars and hang out until they let us in, at which point my dh could drop me off by the entrance and I could head on up? Or am I missing something?

beth--in the new edition of the passporter there are 2 web sites listed to check weather (and waves) for what they call the "mid-atlantic" path. i don't have my book with me right now, but if nobody else posts it, i will post the addresses tonight. . . (i have read it can be a bit chilly and foggy)

This is what has happened to us in the past, someone will stop you coming in and tell you that you cannot come in until 10am, you tell them you are picking up someone, they let you thru, then you drop off your party with their luggage the same place others are getting picked up, and return the car and come back with the shuttle from the car rental company - OR - show up at the car rental company to return the car early, they will put you in the next shuttle they have going to pick up folks getting off the ship so you are not hanging around the office, the shuttle just drops you off where they are picking up folks. You will probably see folks already in line against the fence, in the center part of the fence, there will be a pile of luggage waiting by the gate for the porters who will take them to the ship (about 9am I think they started to load the luggage). One of your party stays with the luggage, the rest get into line to wait until they let us in the terminal. If you show up after 10 or 11am, they will have already let us into the terminal and there should be no line. I am sure that Linda (Seaulater) can correct me if I am wrong in any of my details.

I think ship to shore phone charges are $6.50 a minute, whether call is coming in or going out.

Perfect answer!

I've been busy!

Headed out of office, to the airport, see some of you this weekend at DL!

Then only 4 more work days! :hippie:

CAST LIST IS OUT! Rio did not get the part of Kurt (didn't think he would--he is too new at this and he looks too young for the part) but he IS in the children's choir (they had a huge turnout and there were almost 40 kids who got no parts at all). He is soooooooo excited:cool1: First rehersal is Tuesday.

CONGRATS! Waiting for Cast Lists to come out are never too fun. I am happy for you and Rio.

You are missing seeing someone post the YEAR of the cruise on the meet thread (or else they posted incorrectly). There is a May 3-10 cruise in 2008! I just double checked in the DCL website. The Magic leaves tomorrow on a 7 night cruise:)

MILESTOGO.....

Was it you who had someone able to take photos of the ship as we leave the port?

Just trying to confirm that somebody is taking pic's.

Safe journeys and travels as you all come down to Orlando! Watch out for the wildfires and the random gun-fire ( we are beating last year's record for homicides- yeah!:yay: )
:scared1: :scared1:

DH picked up the "funny money" from the bank today, and now I can't stop smiling. This time next week, our plane will have just taken off on our way to Orlando. :woohoo:
