Hi All! Just a quick check in. Getting ready for the 11 day on the Wonder in a month, so busy on that thread! Then on the DVC owner's cruise in October, then I can gear up here for good!

Someone mentioned about the buses in Barcelona. My guess. If Disney can get some of there buses from Paris to Barcelona you will see Disney buses. When we got to Paris and walked out of the airport terminal to go to DLP the first thing we saw was a Disney bus!

You two were right....

As you head down the ramp to enter the Space Mountain ride cars there is a large shuttle hanging from the ceiling in the center of the launch pad. On the side of the shuttle is SMS-077... it stands for Space Mountain Station established in 1977. :cheer2:

The last time I was there the DVC cart guy told me that in October they will announce the new locations for DVC. One will be the Contemporary and a new location will begin building. :love:

Yeah I already heard about the contemporary one. I belong to the DVC owner yahoo group/listserve and although I never ever post there, I read the messages that come out of there in my "daily digest" and they were passing around pictures of the design for the DVC resort to go up near the Contemporary....I don't think it looks, at least on paper, like anywhere we'll stay....because it looks very metropolitan...it's a high rise. We can get that in NYC or anywhere. I go to Disney for fun theming...so if I'm gonna stay on the 7 seas lagoon it'll be at hte Polynesian :sunny:

Just a few weeks before Jason and I head to the World!! :cheer2:

I agree the contemporary would not be my first choice either. I'd love to stay at the Polynesian. Has anyone ever stayed there. I saw it when I was a teenager and always thought when I grow up I want to go there, but still haven't been!

We have never stayed at the Polynesian before either....and it's on my short list. The resorts we haven't stayed that I would really like to try are teh Polynesian, Animal Kingdom Lodge (where we are already booked for the week prior to the cruise in May), maybe Coronado Springs (we've eaten at the Maya Grill restaurant there but never stayed...and I kind of like the whole Mayan/Central America theming), Yacht Club, Boardwalk, & Beach Club. so in the next several years I'm sure we'll be using our points to try to do at least brief stays at each of them.

We haev stayed at the Polly and really liked it, AKL is currently our favorite place to stay outside of the DVC properties.

Yeah someone else brought that up a few pages back and we were all having our own individual and collective fantasies of a special party, theme night, onboard screening, lectures from cast or crew or something else special. (Please note: my own personal wish...and tomorrow is my birthday (8/21) so I'm pretty optimistic I'll get it....is that when I check in we realize that Orlando Bloom is in the cabin to one side and Johnny Depp is on the other! lol :cool1:

Well I have not fallen off the face of the planet, but I have been pretty busy the last 3 1/2 weeks. On July 28 we had the "rain of the mellenium" in our area. There were 10-12 inches of rain in a very short period of time. As some may know, I work for the American Red Cross in Disaster Services. So we have been busy!

This is following another flooding disaster we had a little over a month before :crazy:

The disaster is the biggest one in our area in at least 40 years. In 2 counties we assisted over 560 families. Today, over 3 weeks later I still have families coming in for assistance. So it is not over even though CNN and the Weather Channel have left.

I attached some pictures of the aftermath just to show how lucky we are. Hopefully life will be back to at least 6 day weeks with only 10 hour days soon!!
