This is from Iberia on baggage: Baggage limit
So is this saying that if you are in Economy class you can only have a total of 44 pounds of baggage????
If that is the case, Iberia is out for me!! Air France is 70 pounds I think. If I read that site correctly and did the conversion from kg properly.

Weight system:
This indicates the maximum weight of baggage transported free of charge. All passengers are allowed a number of free kilos for transporting their baggage depending on the class of service travelled, except children under 2 years of age ( * )
If this weight is exceeded, a financial penalty must be paid depending on the destination you are travelling to and the number of kilos in excess of the allowance.
As a general rule, the allowance for adults, will depend on the passenger class for your ticket .
40 kg. (88 lb.) in Business Plus Service.
30 Kg. (66 lb.) in Business Service. .
20 Kg. (44 lb.) on Tourist/Economy Class services

Oh the imagination we have as we ride down these same roads week after week.....It gets really boring. It gives me plenty of time to obsess over vacations. How much is the charge if you go over on luggage? Dh says why don't we all get together and charter a private jet?

has anyone ever had any trouble with fitting? I think that with the price of these tickets that we should be able to take any bag we darn well please!
Is anyone else afraid to fly? I am not really scared just a little nervous as I have never flown over an ocean before. Oh and straight from the mouth of the Delta lady on the phone with dh: Each passenger is allowed 2 50lbs bags, 40lb carry on and a "personal item". We also got the prices for 1st class
