CACruisin, what is the fitness challenge? I've meant to ask you that all year? :yay:

The fitness challenge is over on the WISH forum. it is a way to encourage yourself to exercise. You sign up to complete xxxx minutes of exercise in the month and then log your time. I have found that my competitive nature kicks in and I'll get out and exercise when otherwise, I wouldn't have. A book, Tivo, DISboards, just about anything really, are always more enticing than exercise. I need all the motivation tools I can get. :teeth:

Eric and Jason - welcome to your new family member! :cat:

Was looking at the roster. Seems my browser has the previous version chached. Anyway, we have the same room, 2072, that Georgie and Joe had before they cancelled. Kewl. Hope they change their minds and re-book.

Hey Table Matey Bob pirate:

Our room couldn't have gone to a nicer pair of pirates! AARRRGH!

Just to think, we waited for a LONG time to get that room! SIGH!!!

We would LOVE to be able to change our minds  and book again. We already have pre-paid the insurance, so if we re-schedule, we'll be covered!!!

Everyone! We will miss getting to meet all of you in person. You'll have a great time planning, and then planning again.

I'll still be lurking on this thread! :sail:

Linda + I will be sure to ask Jason Surrell on the DVC Member Cruise if he got any word on going on the repro cruise. After all, the 3rd POC movie is set to be released during the Atlantic crossing! You guys are in for a treat!!! Plus, a litho from Ducky! Wow!!!

Hey Scott! Good luck with the new job!

Good Morning All. :sunny:
Just checking in. Hey, we gotta pick up the pace here. Keep this thread on page one!

Heading out to enjoy the beautiful Indiana weather, so everyon have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

Rain here with those overcast fall days. I kinda like it.

Just about to finish laundry and pack for the next WDW trip.

Have a great day kiddies it's a jungle out there.

Is anyone staying in Europe after the cruise? We're hoping to stay another week or so, and are wondering about our luggage. I don't really want to cart around more clothes and things than I need to on the trains. Is anyone shipping things back to the States, and how are you doing it?

Traveling very light will be the mantra of this trip for sure. The washing machines will be busy and laundry service used for sure. Planning on wearing the same thing more than once for sure.

Fed EX and UPS are very pricey and the local postal service is a very good cheaper alternative.

It would be great if DCL made a shipping service available in Barcelona. I’ll mention it to Tom, LOL. I will actually mention this in my letter to DCL from out recent cruise.

Travelling light is definately the way to go! Already planning on shipping boxes to the port again.

I wish there was a way to ship home from Barcelona.

We are going to Disneyland Paris for a couple of days following the cruise. Wish it could be longer, but have that work thing!

I am getting a new boss in a few weeks, and he was in the WDW College program! Still have to ask him about that! At least he will have a clue about my addiction :woohoo:

Debbie, a couple of days at DLP will give you a good overall experience. DLP could best be compaired to DL and CA. Easy to do in a couple of days. DVC exchange gives you admission with your room reservation and a nice breakfast is alos included.

We will be there in Jan/Feb, as part of our trip to the Far Side of the World, so can scout stuff out for those interested.

Good Evening All.

Beautiful fall day here. Whole weekend was. Stayed on our side of town today and avoided the crowd at the Feast. Great time there, but the crowds are unbelieveable.
Enjoying the good weather while we can. Friday the 13th is going to be a bummer. Can you say SNOW! :cold: We'll see.

The thread sure has slowed down. Only a couple of posts per day. :sad2:

Starting back on the trip report for the 11 day. I am not much of a writer, so it is slow going. Motivation is the big thing. Loved the southern 11 day cruise, but just don't want to accept that it is over. But there is this cruise in just 200+ days, so I guess things are not so bad afterall.

Everyone have a great week.

Hey Scott! Do you have to worry about not speaking French to do DLP??? We would still love to do this park someday, but weren't sure about the language thing.

Help! I'm being held captive with a house full of company that I'd rather not have!!!!!!!!!!! So, I'm taking them to DL tomorrow for Monte Christo's with the pirates pirate: 4 more days of company then 4 more days of new company and more DL. I have so much work to do and here I sit at 9:30 pm with everyone asleep checking in to see what you guys are up to while watching Desperate Housewives! Good weather here mid 70's and dry (it's fire season)

Susie and Curt, how was your day at DL?

Bonzie1, its good to hear from you again, I don't think I realized you weren't going with us anymore.

Did they do anything new on the 11 night cruise since last year's Mexico cruise? theme nights? new shows?

In DLP almost everyone speaks some english so the language is not a problem. The sings are multi lingal and most of the shows/rides are in french and english.

We made a point of traveling light on our two week Italy trip. We did a carryon size suitcase and small backpack each. We had purchased quite a few quick drying items from REI and did a lot of handwashing.

For the cruise, we'll probably try to do something similar. We do plan on an extra suitcase for our "dress up" clothes though.

Yeah, Jason and I are planning our strategy for packing, too. We've resolved ourselves to doing laundry twice. Once at the end of our week at the World just before we board the cruise...and once about midway through the cruise (on one of the days at sea). That way we really only need to pack about 10 days worth of clothes and plan to wear each thing at least twice during the whole trip (our itinerary, cruise included, is 24 days!! ). We've already looked at our luggage and we're planning on each bringing a medium sized rolling suitcase, then Jason will bring our hanging garment bag with our "nice clothes" in it, and I'll have a second, slightly smaller, rolling bag with all our toiletries and any leftover light clothing we need to bring. That will account for our 2 checked bags each...and then we'll each carry a small backpack or handbag which will hold our laptop, trip paperwork, and some other light items....we'll probably pack the backpacks VERY light on the way TO Orlando so that they can hold any small souvenirs we decide to buy or we accumulate during the trip itself.

Really crowded! Our goal this trip was to do the rides that we can't take the grandson on. Even that limited agenda didn't quite work out so well.

Since it wasn't opening until 10am, we slept in and didn't get there until 10:30am (same time as everyone else). We did manage to beat the crowds to Space Mountain, but that was the end of it. We had wanted to try the new restaurant in New Orleans square but they were booked until 1:30pm, so we escaped to Downtown Disney for lunch and then off to California Adventure. We headed for Californian Screamin' (Curt's favorite) but it was broke down, so off to Tower of Terror. Afterwards, we checked at the info booth and Screamin' was still down. We did the single rider thing on Soarin' (my favorite) and then back to DL. We thought we might be able to do a few things while the parade was on. We used our fast passes that we had gotten earlier for another time on Space Mountain and then crossed over to Adventureland just before the parade started. Still long lines everywhere! We did go on Pirates. But then it was 4pm and we were tired of the lines, so we decided to call it a day. We'll try again sometime next month.

Sounds like you guys spent more time running from place to place dodging crowds (we've had many of those frustrating days!) DL was insanely busy today too! We were pretty surprised. Got in to see the holiday Haunted Mansion and Woody's Halloweentime. We made ressies at the Cafe Orleans last week and lucky enough because (exactly the way Susie described) there was a two hour waitlist. We requested the outside table so we could see the priate music show. It is very cute and fun, I recommend it if any of you get the chance. Rolled out after Monte Christo's and moved slowly through the crowds. The park is decorated with lots of fun halloweeny colors and elaborate pumpkins designs. Can't wait to see CA later this week. They've also added the princess faire with story time and meet the princesses in the snow white theatre. Long wait, but it looks fun. Hint: arrive at 10:15 because you can get in to see the first 3 princesses and then 3 more 15 minutes later.
