The badges are terrific. We are so bummed that we missed that cruise. It is the busiest time of the year for us, so no way! We're there any kids on that cruise? Boy Ducky gets around.

Only a little over 300!

We had about 1,942 passengers and 1,000 crew for a total passenger count of 2,942!

It was great, but the dining room sure seemed empty most nights. Lots of empty tables in our rotation.

Yeah for fun Lanyards!

Deb (EpcotKilterFan)----maybe we shoudl add to the list that Jason (my DP) has a disboard name, too (jasonroo) so it can go on his lanyard.....and bring him further out of his silent onlooker pose! hehehe

I, too, am about nuts wiating for that darn excursion list....and also some sense of theme nights to prep for, the number of formal nights (and which nights they are...so that we don't make advance Palo reservations for a formal night), etc. This trip is my next real vacation and so I'm literally foaming at the mouth to dive into planning how to give Mickey Mouse more of my/our money!!! ehehehehe

:tigger:

Hey Erik, didn't you just get a Dis Fix? or did it make you want more? I don't seem to ever get enough? How did your conference go?

Scott, what is your new job? And how are you going to get there? commuting?

I can not wait for the excursion list to come out. But I know that it will be a while for that. Hopefully by January :hourglass

Excursion list and the Spa list! Looking forward to those Vista Spa Villas overlooking the front of the ship. :thumbsup2 $$$$$ :scared1:

Hey Peter! Thinking about doing this cruise too?
With all those new points, eventhough not a gazillion points, you can swing it. :lmao:

Was looking at the roster. Seems my browser has the previous version chached. Anyway, we have the same room, 2072, that Georgie and Joe had before they cancelled. Kewl. Hope they change their minds and re-book.

LOL UGGGG!! I wish I had known that before I painstakingly erased the pink on their room! LOL

Kewl that a DIS'r took over their room. Methinks that there will not be many aboard :woohoo: :woohoo:

I think that it will pick up as we get closer to cruising time.
Met some on the 11 day that were thinking about it. We'll see.

Yes Yes Yes...but as I've said before...everyone has their addictions...and mine is DisneyWorld!

It would be nice to know, but after anxiously awaiting this information on the first West Coast cruise (5/28/05), I'm not getting my hopes up for any early annoucements for this one. For that one, they announced the excursions on 2/20/05 (just before the 90 day mark). They didn't announce the theme nights or the formal nights until 5/4/05!

Then again, this was one of the first cruises where you could book your excursions early if you were paid in full by the 90 day mark. Also online booking for Palo and such started on 5/4/05 - same day as they finally announced the themes. So maybe they'll get the information out earlier, hopefully at least by the 90 day mark.

Vista spa Villas overlooking the front of the ship? I haven't heard of this....is that a Magic thing? (We've only ever ridden the Wonder) Or something new? Sounds very fancy!

Magic thing after the last dry dock. From what I have read and heard, very, very nice :cloud9: and equally expensive.

Let's hope...because I'm a planner, for sure.....so I am one of those freaks who logs on first thing the morning of the 90 day mark and books excursions and a couple spa treatments, Palo, etc. Of course....we've only ever taken the 3 and 4 night cruises...so there's a bit more urgency because the cruises are so short that you ahve to make the most of every minute and plan ahead.....this cruise will hopefully be a bit more leisurely for us. I imagine I'll still want to book excursions early...but with 14 nights aboard I doubt that every night will end up full for Palo reservations so I can probably wait until much closer to the cruise or until we're onboard even to book a Palo night.....Spa stuff might be easier to get, too...considering one of the things I always rush to get us is the Cabana massages at Castaway (and they can go quick) but we've decided not to do that this time so it doesn't eat up more than an hour of our relatively short day on the Cay.......but these Cabanas on the front of the boat sound awfully enticing! :)

Erik, when it comes to a Disney Cruise, there is no such thing as "too much planning". You want to make sure everything is just right. And on the last two cruises, I've tried to do as much as possible. As we joked on the 11 Day, "You can sleep when you get home"

Probably won't get up early on the 90 day mark. We got everything we wanted on the last cruise by doing the ressies later in the day.

Yep, sleep is for whimps and the old folks cruise! :sail:

You know, now that I think about it, I did see Scott on an episode of "The Unit" last week. :happytv:

CACruisin, what is the fitness challenge? I've meant to ask you that all year? :yay:

I agree.....I tell Jason all the time....we can sleep at home for free!! I had to get up really early for work this morning (earlier than normal) and I was joking with my co-worker that it's sad, but i actually wake up easier and quicker and earlier at Disney than I do at home to get up for work! :Pinkbounc

I have to confess, however, that I will really enjoy being on the cruise longer and look forward to a slightly more relaxed trip where I can spend more time at the pool, the movies, etc. (and, if you remember what Jason and I love to do, more PING PONG ON DECK!!!! )

OK Quick update, House has not sold yet, dropped the price and have a couple of folks interested. We are hoping. Had to go to Cheyenne, yesterday and back home today.( close to 1000 miles of driving) Got to check out some houses and we will have quite a few to choose from.

I start the new position on Oct 16. It is 435 miles away, so a little too far to commute. LOL so life is pretty hectic and rushed right now. I hope we can get moved before Christmas, that would be great.

Glad we have a lot of our travel plans all taken care of, one less thing of the many to worry about.

Lynn will stay here in Jackson, till about Dec 1, we hope to be sold and bought and ready to move in by then. We will see.

Reference the new Job, Well Peter is pretty close to correct. LOL, I would rather share in person, and I think folks understand that.

Ken, we will help with the badges etc as before.

We leave Oct 27 for WDW, right in the middle of all this. Then again in Feb to Tanzania, wish I would have known of these changes when we made these plans but the breaks might be a good thing.

Kinda weird, as I have been in some very stressful situations, but this house selling stuff is driving me nuts and that is not a very far drive. LOL Guess it is my Type A personality that has to have things together being in a state of flux…..

Man, Good Luck. sounds like the trips will be a welcome relief! The housing market here is painfull for sellers and is the first buyers market we've seen in years... Very good news for Littleowensmommy! Will keep our fingers crossed for you guys. And will tell DH that you work for the Unit (have you seen The Unit?) But with all your travel can also assume you are with the touring company of Mickey's Magic Show.

:cat: Hey E&J, Did you get your new kitten? I'm a big cat fan and have had many. :cat:

Has anyone else noticed that the new Cinderella 3 coming out sounds very much like Twice Charmed?

Yes we did get our kitten...she moved in with us the day after we got back from Florida last week. She's adjusting well....her very first vet appt. is actually in 45 minutes ironically enough.

It doesn't surprise me that the movie is going to be like Twice Charmed (which we've never seen since we've never ridden the Magic, by the way). I think there's often a carry over from themepark show and movies.....Mickey's House of Villains is kind of like Fantasmic, too, I thought.
