GSF (Grass Skirt Fraternity) Lives on!!!!!!!
....
Debbie

I don't know if the GSF will reform on this cruise or not. Will be kinda chilly for a grass skirt don't ya think? Besides, I heard that Scott is looking into a kilt for the cruise.

Question....Is Ken still volunteering to do the lanyards? Hope so. He and Sheri did such a fabulous job on the PC and 11 day lanyards. Really nice.

Oh a Kilt would be great!!! :woohoo: I am pretty good at judging those :)

I have updated the page with additions and subtractions. It had been a few months since I had done that. If I missed any one cancelling, please let me know or if any other info needs to be updated. I am also keeping an Excel spreadsheet seperate from the webpage so I can sort all different ways!

Numbers as of 10-1-06:

87 Cruisers (66 adults and 21 kids)
35 Staterooms

Lets get this thread going again!!

Debbie

I know that folks have been posting their return flights every now and again.

Maybe we can help out a few if we start posting again.

We're kind of limited since we don't want to fly back to Orlando-
we have a Lufthansa flight going BCN to Frankfurt-meeting up with family for a few days and then back to Canada direct from there.

Haven't found a decent flight to Orlando before yet-any suggestions?

We are finally unpacked from the cruises. Had to work Friday. We were at Epcot on Sat. with Seaulater, Kpros and Aphoenix for the Wine and Food Festival. Now we can focus on the transatlantic/med cruises.

We were also looking at Aer Lingus to fly home. Still checking things out. Another reasonable airfare was Virgin Atlantic to London, an overnight stay, and a morning flight to Orlando. The overnight in London might help with recovery from the cruise before getting home. Alex

Actually, that's the reason we are staying in Germany for a few days.

Way cheaper airfare!

Are you doing the whole route on Aer Lingus or changing airlines?

In Chicago we transfer from Aer Lingus to American Airlines...that's the way Orbitz.com booked the seats for us.

:tigger:

We got a postcard from Mickey! Now it is official!

Oh yes, the Hong Kong trip. Thanks for telling us about that at the Palo Brunch. That's another trip on the list now. :lmao:

No problem!

We are home from the 11 nights in paradise, and another 4 at WDW. Had a great time!

Now just to get the DVC owner's cruise out of the way and then I can start focusing on the Med!

AW! We didn't get a postcard confirming we were going on the cruise! Now I'm jealous! Although we did get our DVC 15th Birthday surprise in teh mail last week which was cool. Have other DVCers on here gotten that?

:tigger:

Picked up our mail today, and the DVC 15th thingie was there. No groovy post card from the mouse.

Gotta travel tomorrow at 0400, later kids.

We haven't heard from Ken in a long time, I wondered the same thing if he was still in. Yes, we got the DVC package too, I was surprised at how elaborate it was and the picture was very cute.

We're home sick this week (welcome to preschool DD3!) Unfortunately, we have a house full of company coming this weekend and lots of trips to DL in the next week. Still waiting for some details about the southern cruise. Anyone??? :confused3 Make us feel like we were there with you. :hourglass

I promise to get some of the highlights from the 11 night up here this weekend, life is nuts. Bob and Linda and Ken and Shari and Bob and Dale and others help me out here.

Lynn just realized we are three weeks away from a return trip to WDW. I start a new position on 10/16 in a town 435 miles away, what fun.

So I do promise to get something together besides " we had a great time", which we did.

The SCUBA diving was pretty darn good.

Hi Everyone

Now that the 11 night cruise is done, it's time to start thinking about the Med!

I am still planning on making custom names badges and lanyards for everyone on the cruise list, so get you info to Debbie and make sure all the names are spelled correctly on the list. That's my source for the name badges.

Type again soon!
Ken

To all the Parrotheads or just those who are curious about Buffett music....
On Wednesday October 4th at 6pm ET, Radio Margaritaville will present a nearly two-hour special program featuring Jimmy Buffett, six days before the official release date of his new CD, "Take the Weather With You".

Just a way to get over the post-cruise blahs. :sad1:

Maybe we got the mousecard because we signed up on the ship. Or maybe it is because we told them we knew Scott. :lmao:

No DVC surprise yet. Waiting patiently.

Great! For those who have not seen the 11 Night badge...

What a great job. Thanks again Shari and Ken.

No DVC gift here either. But reading a thread on the DVC board, we are not alone!

Yay!! Ken is doing lanyard cards!!! I have even made an excel spreadsheet to make it easier for you :surfweb:

I can not wait for the excursion list to come out. But I know that it will be a while for that. Hopefully by January :hourglass

Still trying to figure out how I am getting from Barcelona to Paris. Was hoping that DCL would do a pacakage. Not holding out hope for that though.

Scott-- did your house sell while you were gone? Good luck on the new job :yay:

Deb

The excursion list would be a nice christmas gift.

You never know about a DCL package. We heard several times while on the 11 night cruise how DCL reads the Disboards. Amazing. So keep wishing Deb.

Soooooo....Tom if you are reading this, how about some sort of accomodations for shipping back gifts, clothes, ect so we don't exceed out luggage weight limit. Hmmmm!

Also, Ducky Williams said in his presentation that there will be a special repo lithograph. Kewl.

A little roundabout but the price isn't too bad:

$54 + $52 taxes & fees = $106 per person US $

Thanks! We're going to see Jimmy at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on 21 October.

We head to WDW this Saturday for a week and then home for a few days before our Vegas trip. After that we're staying put until Easter Break. I look forward to catching up on this thread. We're so excited about this trip. We're doing this b2b with the 11-night Med.
