Sandi and Ken--Thanks for letting me know Tom will be taking us across the pond. I'm sure Thord is greta too, but Captain Tom is so ingrained in my DCL experience it would throw me for a bit of a loop of he weren't there (especailly for a cruise of this length).

I'm going to pull out the luggage today and the dog will be staring me down, no doubt. She doesn't like to see me pull out my luggage and not hers. Guess I'll just have to spoil her til I leave on Friday.

About the 4 digit PIN in dubai we have a 6 digit PIN in Australia we have a 4 digit pin and i have no problem using my Dubai 6 digit pin there. the machines just seem to read the card and know what to expect.

My two boys (being Rio and Dave) have spent the morning builiding a replica of the Magic our of K'nex. My kitchen table will not be used for anything but a display stand (this is about 5-6 feet long) until they take it apart (post cruise being my guess!). But, it looks pretty cool. Rio is working on getting wake like waves comming out from the sides as I type. At least I am not the only one who can think of nothing but the cruise right about now!

Yes, we def need it! He has been in Iraq more then CA in the last 4 years. This is going to be exactly what we need as a family!

Just think, in 2 weeks time we'll be on the ship! I really need to start thinking about what's going in the luggage. I'm a laundry freak so I'll probably stop at Walmart or someplace and carry on my big bottle of tide. I can't stand to have the dirty laundry in the room especiallly with 8 people in 2 rooms.

We received our t-shirts but I guess I'm so used to ordering big, we might be wearing dresses!! At least you won't miss us. ha ha

HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE TABLETS... they take up a lot less room.. you must look for them.. instead of the bottle.. each tablet does 1 load of laundry and bring softener sheets.

I just want to thank the Leon's, Richard, Louisa and their kids. They were wonderful hosts and it was so much fun! I expecially liked seeing the baby hawks! Fantastic!

hay guys my connection was down last night and holy cow... i can't keep up with this... but all the info is great.. my dh won't do the grass skirt.. he said he would pass.. party pooper....but he is doing the pirates night. i'm going to sign off now.. it's morning... oh gosh it's after noon in sunny florida just came home from epcot. have my family from new jersey in so it's crazy here.

I wonder if they're still doing the Disney U graduation thing for the finale of the kids program. If so we have our caps! Has anyone been on the Magic lately to report? Diplomas? Any thoughts?

Something else to think about while you are gone is if you do not have all you bills set up to pay automatically, to fill them out in advance and leave them with a friend (one you can count on) to mail them or of course you could just pay them early. If we weren't traveling out of the country, I'd take them with and mail them while on vacation; although it's only a couple that don't take care of themselves.

Hey everyone its mad trying to keep up with all these posts every day i try my best but then there are loads more as soon as Im up to date lol!!

Anyway on Saturday we fly to disney for a week at Riverside before the cruise and im so excited its unbelievable. Well I expect we all are lol. Today we finally finished booking all the flights etc I just need to arrange my foreign currency now.

So Orlando here we come. I just have to make my mind up how I can embarrass my husband for his 30th birthday on the 18th May lol. OK maybe Ill be kind.

Anyway to all of you see you soon

good very good, second pic reminds me of a story,

I want to say there is a school that has a duct tape prom all outfits made of the wonder tape.

I have packed ours for the trip and installed a government approved Label that says “ This tape is not approved by DCL for use to affix items to one’s stateroom door”

I really think it is a wise move on DCL part to let folks know about the effects the tape has, hey I am a shareholder, cut those maintenance costs.

It's not a duct tape prom at school....I think actually what it is is that one of the major duct tape companies has a contest every year for people to design a prom dress entirely out of duct tape....and the winner of the contest wins a prize for their school and an individual prize....and I think it might be that hte company pays for the prom. There was an article in our local paper about it last year or the year before becuase a Rochester girl entered but didn't win. The dresses are actually amazing especially since you can get duct tape in so many widths and colors that you can get really creative. It reminds me....I, of course as you know, work for an AIDS Service organization and just recently a while back there was a fundraiser fashion show somewhere (on the west coast maybe??) where the designers had to create couture gowns out of condoms....and some of them ended up being really pretty and innovative....probably just as big a challenge as creating clothes out of duct tape!

Some people just have TOO much time on their hands!!! Don't htey know that time is better spent making fish extenders and magnets?!?!

I searched EVERYWHERE for tablets and couldn't find any!!! Just when I had resolved myself to the fact that I wsa going to have to buy detergent out of hte machines aboard I found (I think in Target or Walgreen's) a small bottle of liquid All that is supposedly super concentrated. It's as small or smaller than a travel size shampoo and it claims that 1/2 a bottle will clean a full load of laundry so I just bought two of those....very little space, it's sealed so it won't leak....and if that works then we'll be set. We anticipate doing laundry twice during this trip since we're staying at AKL for over a week before cruising...we think we'll do laundry at AKL the day before we leave and then on the ship about 1/2 way through....OR we may bring our dirty clothes onto the ship and just do laundry aboard the ship the first or second night and then again half way through....(Or we may bring our dirty clothes to the Wine and Cheese party at Scott's in OKW and just do our laundry there...he and Lynn don't know that yet, though, so SHHH don't tell! )
