Just got home and sifted through another 10 pages on the boards. I spent all day taking the CPR and First Aid courses - a requirement for some tour director / guide positions.

I'm finally starting to get a few local offers, but alas they are all for the time I'll be on the transatlantic. The one I was contacted for today would have been for May 19 and was a cruise transfer (get people from the ship to the tour). Had to tell them I wasn't available.


On the Gibraltar touring subject, my latest count (including possibles) is 89 doing Gibraltar on their own. I'm not sure how many of these want to do the cable car combination with cave, apes, and tunnels, but it is too big of a group to try to stick together. Some people did also indicate that they would prefer not to stick together.

I emailed both the Gibraltar taxi company and the bus company for more info on getting from the cruise ship to the base of the cable car. I haven't heard back from the taxi company, but I did get an email back from the bus company:

"The closest Route service available to you would be Route 4. To get this
service you would need to walk down to the first round-a-about (Evacuees
Memorial) turn right, 100 yards down this road you 'll get to the GSA Pool.
You want to wait at the bus stop immediately opposite this pool on the other
side of the road - there's a Pelican crossing just there.

The bus you need to get is the one showing a destination for Rosia. Please
inform the driver you wish to alight at the Cable Car station."

Thanks for the reminder! I just ordered a currency converter. And Mom just sent me the plug adapters, as we will be in London for 3 days.

OMG!! Having grown up in Chicagoland I know WGN well...it must be a slow news day for them to be reporting that corn is bisexual....I can't stop laughing -- really - my dogs think there's something wrong with me...

Thanks to DCL~ We will also be stay at the Hyatt the night before. We will be arriving from CA about 4:30pm. My family is going to just hang out at the hotel: have dinner and go for a swim. We are also meeting up with Laura at the pool after dinner. Feel free to join us!

We will be there about 7:00pm or so. I will be happy to give out lanyards and name badges to anyone who can find me at the Hyatt on the evening of the 11th.

DCL has us arriving at 10:45 AM, leaving Boston at 7:45 AM, DCL recommends getting to the airport 3 hours ahead (not like that's going to happen, don't they know this is supposed to be the start of a vacation).

So, after we check in, we've decided to rent a car and spend the afternoon/evening getting a WDW fix at the Flower & Garden festival.

But we'll definatly see you all first thing in the AM to board the bus.

Sorry Scott and Lynn, we'll miss the pre-cruise wine & cheese, but we have go and renew our AP (well, really I can't get Dale (DW) to leave the park until it closes ) You don't know how many pictures we have of the Magic Kingdoms clocks at 2:00 AM

Well, now that's interesting. We've been frustrated that we will miss the end of Lost, but mostly 24. Of course, we Tivo everything, which is how we watch everything speeding through the commercials. And of course, we are always doing something else while watching, ironing, cooking, working etc.

OH MY GOSH!!! I'M GONNA MISS THE FINALE OF LOST!!! HELP!!!

Does the tv show ABC shows? I'm thinking they do since ABC is owned by Disney. Does anyone know for sure???

Which would technically make them INTERsexual (the culturally appropriate term for the community previously known as "hermaphrodites") not bisexual. Maybe they should hire me to come do a sensitivity training for them and their crops!
