May 12, 2007 -- Taking the Magic to the Mediterranean -- 14 day Repo Cruise! Part 2

Woke up late this morning.
After feeding the dog and getting ready for work, not much time for breakfast.
Taking the trash out in a cold driving rain, one of the bags drop and spills.
Stop to pick-up a paper on the way to work and yesterdays is still in the rack.
Walking into work, my umbrella turns inside out. Twice.

As I enter my work area a co-worker asks-
"Hey, how's your day going?"

Just wonder how all of you would answer that question, using 2 possible answers.
1. Could be better.
2. I've had worse.

I'll post my response later. Time to catch-up with the thread.

1. For those that didn't see "The Art of the Story" on the Sept. itineraries on the Wonder last fall, it will be on the Magic for the crossing. I was told a few changes have been made to the show from what we saw.

OK Can I just say how excited I am over this! :cool1: I love love love this show! It shows some of my favourite Disney shows! Ah can't wait!

You are right across from us. We are 2573 and my parents are 2571. Wonder why we got inside rooms when nearly everyone else got outside? :( Oh well, my husband likes it to be dark anyway so he can sleep better.

Dont worry some of us still haven't been allocated rooms :guilty:

Uh Linda, I don't see what day Pirates will be premiEARed on?? :lmao: :rotfl: popcorn::

Don't tell us you forgot to keep track of Johnny & Company for us?!?! pirate:

No, I didn't. Clayton (aka Hollywood) told me that we will be seeing POC III on the Magic.

Oh by the way...... have to share this with you all.

Saw Alan (dining room manager) on the Wonder this last weekend. We were having a dismeet with all 7 of us that were on the cruise and Alan walked by the lounge and I said "Alan". He came over and gave me a hug and said....where is that little book you do? Do you have one for me? I laughed and said "the MINI-NAVIGATOR?" He said yep, that's the one. I told him I didn't do one for the Easter cruise, but would have one for the Magic next month.

Glad to know our Mini-Navigators mean something to them! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Well - I miss 3 days and had 25   pages to read....

Not sure who these comments are toward -

Adoption: I am so sorry to hear it fell through - I agree with the other comments that things happen for a reason - We are glad to have you back on the cruise.
to that note - I also agree that trying to persuade Disney to help you with the points is worth a try. I had to cancel a ressy in early 2002 inside the window due to the 9-11 attacks and they rebooked without penalty for me.

Suitcases: I am always wary of soft sided stuff - seems things get broken. I use the 24(?) from Costso - airlines have been trying to kill the thing for 6 years now...they are unsuccessful!!!

Smoking: I have been a brittle asthmatic for years, I have just been downgraded to stable finally. I (like MilesToGo) can smell smoke at a mile. Europe is going to be more of a challenge than Disney - seems everyone smokes everywhere...I am taking 3 inhalers and am seeing the pulmonologist today to see what we can do to prevent a severe attack.

that is all I can recall that I felt the need to respond to...I have to keep up on this thread!!!

According to my watch, the time is now
The past is dead and gone
Don't try to shake it, just nod your head
Breathe in, breathe out, move on

Dont try to explain it, just bow your head
Breathe in, Breathe Out, Move on....

That's my answer and I am stick'n to it

But when Linda when??? I gotta make sure I look good for Johnny!!! You know, water proof make-up so when I am drooling it doesn't run, that kinda stuff!! Spill it sister!!!;)

Hey Kids here is a computer safety tip for ya, if ya have a wireless modem etc, make sure it is locked down (encrypted) it would amaze you as to the distance a signal can travel. I just checked ours at home and it was a good 1/2 mile.

Another good tip is also not have your Router broadcast even if you have it encrypted.

Cheers!!

ScottH, just noticed that you are in Cheyenne. We drive up there a couple times a year - as a matter of fact our Ladies of Harley group has a ride to the Cheyenne dealer this Saturday - if the snow from Friday is gone, that is.

Looking forward to meeting you guys on the cruise.

Okay, we are back from our little mini-cruise on the Wonder over Easter. Had a great time. Weather wasn't very cooperative in Nassau, but Castaway Cay ended up being really nice. I must say, Captain Henry did an awesome job of pulling in the Wonder to CC since the wind was at 35 knots that morning. Started around 6:30 and had us in in about an hour's time.

I am very jealous...i can't wait for our cruise though!!!! did you already have tips paid like some of us did or did you rebook?

You are right across from us. We are 2573 and my parents are 2571. Wonder why we got inside rooms when nearly everyone else got outside? :( Oh well, my husband likes it to be dark anyway so he can sleep better.

we got a cat 10 too...we were hoping for a window but i guess it was not meant to be...i am happy about the double bathrooms though and the bigger space...i had originally booked cat 11

I was wondering the same thing, so I checked the TSA site and currently they are allowing knitting needles in the carryon. I was also wondering about scissors and as long as the blade is less than 4 inches or is blunt they allow these also.

i guess i need to check too! that would be great if i could bring some small kid scissors aboard the plane...i wanted to bring some crafts for my little girl to do and most involve scissors!!!!!

Smoking: I have been a brittle asthmatic for years, I have just been downgraded to stable finally. I (like MilesToGo) can smell smoke at a mile. i really am not kidding....all my boys are asthmatics and we carry our nebulizer with us everywhere so we will have albuterol in our room....i am an rn (although labor and delivery one!) so really if anyone ever needs a breathing treatment just come find me and i will give you one!

Man, there's a country music lyrics in there someplace.

I'm thinking to the tune of "Blood on the sand" from Country Bear Jamboree maybe . . .

No didn't have tips prepaid, but they weren't that much. However, I did rebook the July 27, 2008 cruise we have booked for the 10 year anniversary of the Maiden Voyage of the Magic. I booked on the first day, but checked the price and she was able to upgrade me one category, give me the 10% discount and I came out better than when I originally booked.

Also, DVC finally got the point values yesterday for the 2008 cruises.

Oh, and we upgraded at the port from a cat. 11 to a cat 5 for only $75 per person (total $150) for the three nights, because we got a $133 kickback each for the Florida resident rate since Kay went with us. So, in reality the upgrade was $208 each, but I only got charged $75 each. the cat. 5 was nice and I even spent a little time out on the verandah!
