Oh I passed my test, and the colors were flying, part of process was to log a GPs coordinate, and I used our mid Atlantic point. LOL

Does that mean that you can write off the cost of the cruise as a business expense. :thumbsup2

Erik, what haven't you made from scatch!!! OK maybe not the ties but it wouldn't shock me if you did. Dam you have far too much time on your hands!!

So I need a fish extender and magnets for my door and a door banner. Exactly what is all this for and aren't you afraid those cute extenders will be taken?

You need the Fish Extender Club!!! That is.... a plastic zip tie thingy (technical term for it) you just use one of those zip ties to the top of the rope just under the fish. It won't swim away that easily :)

Debbie

Ok... so the official term is Cable Tie

On the Panama Canal cruise... the beginning of the Fish Extender movement.... Scott had some in his luggage (not asking why LOL) and we used it to secure it.

Now that's the idea of the day!

I'm wondering if my computer failed, or if I have been edited...if edited, Just let me say that I was only kidding when I proposed marriage to Erik. He would be a great wife, and as a tired Mom of 8, well, having a wife is a dream of mine. I've decided Erik is just about perfect. I'll still buy your Euros if you'll handle everything else, Erik. Jason is a lucky man!

Oh, and we are a zip tie family! That's what you use to reattach doll heads! Don't ask... LOL about the "club."

THAT is an EXELLENT idea! I never would have thought of that. WE always have a whole pile of those zip ties ( they are our suticase locks nowadays). Although I have been on 2 cruises with this one,and nobody messed with it.

We have been trying to talk our 28 year old son into taking the 2 weeks off without pay and going on the cruise with us. We even offered to get him his own staeroom ( although it wouldn't have a balcony, that's for sure!) I think we did it! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: He's going to ask about it tomorrow. I guess he is scheduled to be in the office those weeks anyway.. He travells a lot for work.

I emailed Disney again about early flights on the 26th. Here is the response

"The ship is expected to be cleared from Customs at approximately 6:45
AM. If you have made arrangements to fly out before 10:30 AM, please
plan to debark the ship first thing in the morning in order to make your
flight.

Also, Guests who have arranged their own air are asked to provide Disney
Cruise Line with their flight information. Once you have your flight
schedule confirmed, please take a few moments and enter your flight
information online."

It's not exactly a lot more information, but it does answer the customs question.

ACTUALLY....I really DID make one of our sets of ties. Because ties are for men all the Disney ties mainly have the male Disney characters on them...or are very masculine....and I wanted us to be very equal opportunity...so I really looked and looked for some ties with Tink or the princesses on them (in my fantasy world I would love to have found a beautiful tie that had Ariel swimming right up the entire length of the front of it!!!)....but I couldn't find any....and then I found this fun satin-look Tinkerbell fabric...so I bought the fabric and then went to a thrift store I bought an old ugly tie for 50 cents and dissected it to make my own pattern ......and VOILA!! We now have beautiful matching Tinkerbell Ties!!! Just wait til you see them...I'm particularly proud of them! :tinker:

Edited? You mean you posted it and it didn't show up and you suspect that perhaps a moderator took it off? EW!! You mean the Disboards are keeping me from a marriage proposal!?!?! I'll NOT stand for it! (and neither will my mother for that matter!!)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks for the compliment, though! :) And I'll definitely pass your thoughts on to Jason in case he's forgotten just how lucky he is! :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

When Chuck and I were first married ( all those many years ago) I made him some ties. But not Disney of course. He has several Tigger and Mickey Mouse ties now, but he is refusing to wear ANY ties! Connie

Just rebooked the Hyatt for the night before-they are down to $160 plus taxes.-You might want to check their site.

Thank you, I am going to check on that right now! By the way, USAir was great and we actually got better flights then before. It took over one hour to get everything squared away and my heart was beating fast, but it is taken care of. I still don't understand why Iberia is nervous about new cruise ships and flights. They just dropped my flight for no reason. I am so excited about Seville. We did it for the Christopher Columbus thing too and the lunch - ha ha! Anybody doing the Scavenger Hunt in Barcelona? That sounded super fun!:) I don't think DCL will cut back on anything. I have 3 groups of friends that have told me to tell them everything about it because if we like it, they will do it the next time it is offered.
