Hi Linda. Thanks for letting me know we are not the only ones. Maybe Disney doesn't care for Girl Scouts! We'll probably try at the port as well (keeping my fingers crossed for pixie dust in the meantime). But, it really will be a great trip no matter what and cool to have #s so soon.

Good one!:thumbsup2

1. Parrot Cay (Hadley) I really like the theming. Also enjoy the pasta bar at lunch. Lookout Bar (David)--you shoudln't have to ask why:rotfl:

2.Chocolate soufle for us both. Is there anything else???? I dream about that dessert. MMMMMMMM YUMMY

3. Eighties night on Beat Street (Hadley--showing my age here). David's answeris not apporpriate for a family friendly board!

4. Costa Maya for both (Kohunlich ruins). Haven't been to Key West yet.

5. Kohunlich ruins (fabulous--to be fair it is the only one we have ever been on).

6. Going to a beach without packing towls, chairs, snacks, drinks, etc and not washing the towls after either (Hadley). Cookie dough ice cream (David)

7. 10 and 11. Both are just fine for us (inspite of my evening of mourning!). Yes we have rebooked both and will again.

8. No (except from 12 to 11 this cruise, and they are the SAME rooms in differnt locations).

9. Twice Charmed (Hadley). 80s dance show at 80's night (David)

10. The friendliness of the crew and the miriad of activities for ALL ages and combinations of ages.

Chris--Tell Robert that at least one person who is actually looking forward to his binder presentation. Maybe he'll convert me for future trips. Will you be at the Wine and Cheese pre party?

No Hadley, we won't be arriving in Orlando until 6 am Saturday morning. Sorry to miss it, but how bout we plan a glass of wine in Sessions while listening to some late night music one night!!:thumbsup2

I hate to be a nerd about it, but I woule LOVE to see his power point presentation! I can't wait to have him explain to me all about the binder! I have a very messy folder in my file drawer labeled Travel, and everything just goes in there. My biggest worry now is getting all the stuff I have saved on this computer over to my laptop computer to bring on the ship! I gotta get my son nailed down to help me.....just try to get a 28 year old to help his mom on the computer, he has no patience with me@:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh boy, you are only encouraging his organized madness! :rotfl: No doubt he will happily sit you down to show you the whole file. Should we include in the mini navigator "Organizational Skills 101" by Robert, to be held in the Walt Disney Theatre? Overflow seating in the Buena Vista Theatre :rotfl2: :lmao:

A drink in sessions sounds good to me!

I hope you're taking Connie's survey as I type this--fun to see answers.

I'd be there!

1. Which restaurant is your favorite? Why? Parrots Cay - Because everyone else doesn't like it.

2. Which dessert is your favorite? Mickey Bar!

3. What's your favorite onboard activity? Watching the ocean go by.

4. What's your favorite port? (not Castaway Cay!;) ) St. Lucia

5. What's been your favorite excursion? ATV in Cabo San Lucas

6. What is the BEST thing about Castaway Cay? Scott's endless swim :rotfl2:

7. What category room did you stay in? Would you stay in this category again? 11, 6, 3, 6, 6, 6 - the 3 was fun, but not worth the money (unless we will the lottery). We have 11's for the med repo and 1st med cruise.

8. Have you ever been upgraded? no.

9. What's your favorite live show onboard? Hercules (bring it back to the Magic)

10. What's the absolute BEST thing about a DISNEY cruise? Something that makes DISNEY stand out from the rest, even if you have nothing to compare it to! Some members of the crew - not all - but some. I've never been on another cruise line, so I don't have a real basis for comparison.

Ken

Just feel I need to note that Parrot Cay is winning the survey thus far with two votes to all the other's one (figure this is the only chance to report Parrot Cay as the winner as it can't last).:rolleyes1

1. Which restaurant is your favorite? Why? Palo. It is actually my favorite restaurant ANYwhere at this point. Brunch is like nothing I have ever seen, and every experience there has been incredible. Like Erik and Jason, we also were presented with a "Happy Anniversary" plate of chocolate on our first visit.

2. Which dessert is your favorite? Oh my gosh, impossible to answer. Considering we each order a minimum of TWO at every meal. I actually have a picture of me literally lapping up some chocolate sauce on an empty plate from our last cruise. Yeah--proud moment on that one. Like Hadley, we do LOVE the chocolate souffles in Palo!

3. What's your favorite onboard activity? We love the tastings, but taking a post midnight stroll every single night around the entire top deck and hanging out for five minutes at the front of the ship just enjoying the night tropical breezes on our faces and relishing every single moment of being on vacation on a Disney Cruise!

4. What's your favorite port? (not Castaway Cay!) We've only done the Eatern twice, but real partial to St. Maarten. There's a really cool restaurant that I'm dying to go back to. Then again, on St. Thomas we love taking that Skyway to the top even though it terrifies Robert.

5. What's been your favorite excursion? Now that I'm doing this survey, I realize I'm NOT good at it. These are supposed to be one choice answers, and I'm finding it tough to make ONE choice. I personally loved kayaking through the mangroves on St. Thomas.

6. What is the BEST thing about Castaway Cay? The sign that reads "SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK! Please Be Aware of Possible Ocean Conditions Which May Involve But Not Be Limited To: Sharks, Barracuda, Jellyfish, Sea Lice, Sea Urchins, Sea Anemone, Fire Coral, Etc. DANGER Please Stay Off Rocks!" Robert always cracks up the bystanders reading it with, "The rocks seem like the ONLY safe place!" Seriously, the BEST thing about Castaway Cay is the "feeling" in the air when you're there. Granted I've only been twice, but I cried the second I stepped off the ship.

7. What category room did you stay in? Would you stay in this category again? Category 1. Walt Disney Suite.

8. Have you ever been upgraded? No

9. What's your favorite live show onboard? Makes me wish I'd gotten to see Hercules The Musical from the previous answers. We love Twice Charmed, and I love Golden Mickeys. And the closing show, as the mom and dad are dancing on the deck with the princes and princesses. And I love the opening night show as the family is arriving. See, I told you I'm HORRIBLE at this survey game.

10. What's the absolute BEST thing about a DISNEY cruise? Something that makes DISNEY stand out from the rest, even if you have nothing to compare it to! Oh my gosh, most of you have all been there, so you know the answer: DISNEY CRUISE

Addendum to Question 7: Just kidding. Really wanted to know WHAT kind of havoc that would have created on the board if I left it that way, but truthfully, category 6 for both with no upgrades.

7. What category room did you stay in? Would you stay in this category again? Category 1. Walt Disney Suite.

8. Have you ever been upgraded? No
.

I was goin to ask: How could you be upgraded from the Walt Disney Suite? The Captains' chair on the bridge? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Kelly - We had a GTY CAT 4. We did not get an upgrade.

Erik - Everyone will know to come to deck 8 for the party. :cool1:

1. Which restaurant is your favorite? Lumiars (I can't spell and it's too late to look it up. Why? I like fancy.

2. Which dessert is your favorite? creme brulee

3. What's your favorite onboard activity? Wine tasting

4. What's your favorite port? (not Castaway Cay! ) St. Thomas

5. What's been your favorite excursion? Pirate Cruise on St. Thomas

6. What is the BEST thing about Castaway Cay? It's private

7. What category room did you stay in? CAT 3 Would you stay in this category again? Who wouldnt?

8. Have you ever been upgraded? Yes

9. What's your favorite live show onboard? I don't remember what we saw.

10. What's the absolute BEST thing about a DISNEY cruise? It's Disney. Something that makes DISNEY stand out from the rest, even if you have nothing to compare it to! It's distinctively Disney

Lori

Okay, we have our room number too! 2626. Cat 9. I think this is a noisy room from what I am reading. We do get a porthole, though, so I can't complain there!

After assigning rooms like this do they often change them again when you have a gty 12? Do they ever downgrade you after upgrading you? If I were to call DCL and ask for a different room in Cat 9 now that they have assigned me one, will they do that or will they then want me to pay for an upgrade? Sorry, lots of questions...we are first time cruisers.

Really, I'm a good sleeper and don't think noise will bother me much, nor my dh or dd. So, I'm just wondering how this all works. I feel fortunate to have a cat 9, but if there is a way to get one with less potential for noise, then I am all for that too.

We had 2 GTY cat 12's on the Crossing and 2 GTY cat 11's on the 11 day.

They gave us 2 cat 10's on deck 2 side by side but not joined. Same rooms for both cruises which makes the change over easier. Would have liked a higher deck but the extra stair work will help combat the calorie count.
