OMG we are actually assigned a 12...2616...we will DEFINATELY see about upgrading at the port!!

MY BAD!!!!! I just looked it up and we have a cat 9!!!! THANK YOU DCL!!!

Rats, Cat 9, but NOISY room...got a call into the TA to see about moving us...apparently we are right under the galley!!!

Secret Porthole Room - it used to be a cat 9 but because the view is a little obstructed they down-graded it to a 10. So for $2100 and change, tips included, 3 of us are cruising for 2 weeks with a porthole on the Disney Magic!!!

Got our room number 2135, Cat 10 for us. I will point it out to the family later tonight. Of course we shall see if they change us all around by the time the trip gets here.

And what a good idea about bringing birth certs for those not coming to trade for Palo's!

I know who the fly lady is...today I wish that she lived in my house. Then it would take me only 15 minutes to get ready for tonight company and not hours.

Got our flight info.. leave barcelona 10 am arrive JFK 12:40pm wooo fast trip
JFK to Orlando 4:20 pm arrive 7:11pm Will go thru customs in JFK... Total flying time 11 hours 30 min... not bad.. but that means the end of the trip
And we haven't even left yet.... See you guys next week..

Sounds like we are taking the same flight. Are you on Delta?

We are directly off the midship elevator lobby (cat 9) and the stateroom reports are favorable. Hubba hubba! There is just something exciting about getting this info, and it's several weeks earlier than I expected!

We also our cabin assignment.

We were also one of the people in a cat 12 gty. We have rooms 2502 and 2504. They are not connecting like we had hoped, but still next to each other.

Arghhhhh! Mail has not yet come. Are you really getting room assignments??!!! We are 4 booked into a GTY category 12, but we booked really late. I just want one intsy weensy port whole--a wee little view to know whether it's dark or light outside.

All our other cruises, I was spoiled with a veranda. This boat, I just wanted ON!!!

Congrats to everyone getting their room assignments....I know lots of people have been anxious about stateroom numbers and flight plans....so glad to hear that those details are falling into place....now you can all start stressing about packing!

You compulsive packers will be glad to know that Jason and I decided to do an informal sort of pre-packing. In our spare bedroom we have put several boxes and labeled them and we're throwing things into them NOW that we know we need to take but will not use before we go. Like:

---all the ties....like I said we never EVER wear ties here, so we won't use them before we go
---pirate costumes
---bathing suits and swimming shoes
---shorts (because the likelihood we'll have any shorts weather before May 4th is not very good)
---toiletries (since our total trip is going to be almost a full month I decided we'd just go buy a brand new deodorent, toothpaste, full bottle of all of my onslaught of hair products, etc. and pack them unopened so we know we have plenty and won't run out mid-trip by bringing half-used product from our cupboards, etc.)

In addition as we think of things we know we will need to bring (like the number of pairs of underwear and socks) I'm writing that on index cards and dropping that in the boxes, too. That way the week of the trip we'll get out the suitcases and start trasnferring stuff from box to suitcase and when we come upon an index card we'll run to the drawers and closets adn get those items.

I was pretty pleased with myself for devising such a system!

Check the DCL website - that is where we are all seeing upgrades. It still says cat 12 but gives a room # for a room.

Cupcake...right now we are off of the aft elevator lobby which is under the galley and very noisey!! Are your port or starboard? I wouldn't mind moving down where you are...

As for moving...you can ask for anything you want...doesn't mean you will get it!!

I know!!! Airfare info and now our room numbers! It is almost like it is real now!!
