We just received our air info from DCL - LAX to MCO, May 11 leaving at 10:40am, arriving at 6:30pm on Delta. I hope they don't go under before then.

Returning on Air France - Barcelona to Paris, Paris to LAX - on June 6.

OK...a few replies:

Seaulater---WHAT?!?!? Jamie's not coming?!?! Somehow I must have missed that fact on the roster or in earlier posts! Rio and I were planning on stalking her! :rotfl: :rotfl: Anyhow, I sure do hope they show it on the big screen during the day. If they're smart they'll play the sing-along version. Has anyone here ever gone to see Sing-Along "Sound of Music" or "Grease"...in a big crowd, both are a HOOT and they put the lyrics to all the songs along the bottom like Karaoke and the whole crowd sings along. Often people come to the theater dressed as characters or themes from the film, too. Can you imagine how fun it would be to do that to HSM on a Disney Cruise?!

Gydell---I'm going to Walmart immediately to see if I can find a toothbrush that plays HSM music!! And as for that scarey video....yeah it's creepy but if you look at that boat you can tell it's TINY compared to the Magic or the Wonder.....so I'm just going to keep believing we're going to have the most wonderful cruise ever!! hehehe:dance3:

Milestogo---Jason and I have four TV's...all of which have both a VCR and a DVD player and one of which has a DVR through our cable provider....so I can relate! :lmao:

So I noticed there's a dozen of us or so from New York state....who're the others and where are ya??

Mail just came. Disney is thrilled that we are all joining them on their incredible Transatlantic voyage. So they are sending us all some handy keepsakes to get us ready for all the magic. They are special __________.
Don't want to ruin the surprise for you. Check your mailboxes:cool1: :cool1:
Disney can't wait to share this amazing adventure with all of us.

I am getting so excited. My guest bed is covered with door ideas. I wonder what celebrities are going to be on our trip? Who is making the banner? I will be glad to help in any way I can. All of you that went on the last Eastern Repo were there TV cameras rolling when you left port? Will Disney make a big "tado" about our departure?

I'm jealous of you people with air info. DH called, but since we are only doing one way BCN-MCO, we have to wait until tomorrow after 9AM. :p

I guess I have to call my parents to see if they got their mail today. I don't think the mail will have made it out west yet, but they're in FL.

:scared1: Very scarey.

I cannot find the warning - I am not that computer savvy so I apologize. I would love to be included in the Secret Mickey - let me know! Also, is anyone going on the cruise with a 9-year old girl. My daughter is very shy until she hears the first hello, wanna play and then she is fine. I know a lot of boys are going, but I only saw Sophia on the list. Hope everyone is doing well and I am running to my mailbox right now.:cheer2:

Nothing from DCL at my parents. So now I have to wait impatiently until tomorrow. Unless someone wants to just spill the beans *hint* *hint.*

Good question, nanaguide, about the banner....there's been lots of banter about it but I am not sure anyone has committed to doing it. I am skeptical that I'll really be able to do it before the trip since I have 3 business trips between now and flying to the World to factor in plus all the last minute trip preparations (I haven't even BEGUN to think about door decs).

So if you want to volunteer for banner duty...HAVE AT IT!! Or I know there are a number of you down in the Central Florida area, right? Maybe you can have a pre-cruise banner making party!!:goodvibes If we lived there I'd come to that!!

Our mail already came and there was nothing from DCL in it. :sad1: We'll be racing each other to the box now every day unitl it comes.

You can think of me celebrating my birthday at WDW while you are flying on the 11th!

Our paper today showed what the average front line Delta employee will be receiving when they emerge from bankruptcy in May. Looks like the package is worth about $20,000 each. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me!

Go to the main cruise forum site and look for - Warning to all Med cruisers. There is a girl that is 8 named Kaylee listed on the list and there will be more on the ship.

My daughter Marika is 10. She has been chatting with Hannnah who is also 10 on the google group Disneycruising has set up. Of course, that does not TECHNICALLY put them in the same activites in the club. The girls can still hang out when not in the lab/club and if they hit it off you can ask if your daughter can bump up if you and she want to. Marika bumped up last September so she could be in the same activites as her friend whose family was cruising with us. She as still 4 months shy of her 10th b-day at point (they gave the girls the option of one bumping up, or the other bumping down as there was plenty of space in both clubs--Marika actaully ended up wishing they had gone down as that week the girls in 10-12 wre all "boy crazy" which she doesn't care for YET). BEST was to make sure your daughter already has friends when she gets to the terminal is to PM disneycruising and get on the google group!!!

I hope that when all of you get your airline tickets from DCL that if you don't have a frequent flier number you get one.

Air France is a partner to Delta and it is possible that your whole ticket is issued through Delta. If that's the case, for you Ken and Shari, you could each get approximately 9,000 miles for flying LAX-MCO and BCN-LAX.

Robert and I are flying first class using frequent flier miles, so unfortunately, we don't get miles for this flight. darn!

Erik,
Do they do these "Grease" and "Sound of Music" sing-alongs at a theatre? DO they do it in Rochester??? Sounds so fun. If they do, I will have to check if they are doing one the next time we are through there. Rochester is always our half way stopping point when I drive the kids back to Michigan. Last summer we toured Susan B Anthony's house. Maybe this fall we will do something less educational but totally fun (and maybe beg and plead to get you and Jason to have dinner with us).

Cool--definetly get her on the google group. It is by invite only and only for the kids on this one cruise. My kids have never had the advantage of making friends before we embark before and they are loving it. The girls have been trading book recommendations, chatting about astronomy and sports, complaining about little brothers, etc. All in all a good time.

I'm hoping it is just taking longer to get to some parts of the country than others. I know my in-laws in Colorado got their excursion booklet two days before we did even though we all booked at once through our TA (and all on one credt card even). But, I want my mail NOW NOW NOW (stomping foot action happening here).

Oh my goodness yes please do contact us!! Have they done the National Museum of Play here in Rochester? It's QUITE fun!! We took my 9 year old niece there over the holiday break and she loved it!

No the sing-along films are not a Rochester thing. Both those films were released in "sing along" versions a few years back and yes they were shown in theaters. I think both really did a lot of film festival circuits...indy film festivals and gay film festivals and I think that one came to the Rochester women's or jewish film festival, too....they are a HOOT!!

When you drive to Michigan through Rochester do you go through Canada? My parents live in the U.P. of Michigan and they always go through Canada when they come visit us through Port Huron and Niagara Falls.

Erik - We're the other NYer's you were probably talking about. We're a family of 8 so that's almost all of us. We have 4 kiddos (although my 11 yr old is taller than my Dh and weighs 215 lbs.) and we've invited my Mil and Bil along for this ride. My kids still don't know about this cruise. We always try to surprise them and so they will be given hints about it in their Easter baskets. That's why I didn't register them for the kids website. We're also in the process of buying our tickets and it looks like we're driving to Toulouse and staying and touring for the day and night and then flying to Dublin and then on to Jfk.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Marguerite
