i was able to get pop century this morning for free dining plan for my trip later this year!!!

good morning all. I forgot to tell you that on Friday we had a ton of rain and we had snow on the mountains all around us. When I left my lecture it was 48 degrees. So, I'm sorry to say that we are sending some nasty weather your way. Supposed to get a little rain today too. Ken's probably getting it right now.

It did start raining a little while I was out on my bicycle early this morning, but only for a few minutes. It's now starting to rain again.

On the Sept crusie me and parents had joint reservations and for some reason I was allocated a table on my own for dinner (well at least no one ever went to the table as we did change my table but kept an eye on the original one as well) and my parents were put on a table with a complete stranger so God knows what Disney thinks of some times!

I have 2 questions:
1. Do I call DCL to link my son's dining with ours? We booked separately.
2. Should he ask for an upgrade when we arrive? He's one deck lower than us....I have no idea what category.

I have been having so much fun making Fish Extenders! I made Mike a 3 pocket one. He dind't think he needed 5 pockets! If anyonbody still wants one, I can make you one!

Also got our door magnets done, and I finished a dress that I had bought fabric for. And we are still 3 weeks away! Amazing!

Yes, call DCL directly UNLESS you used a TA. If you used a TA you will need to call them and ask them to link you together. You will need your son's reservation number.

Yes, if he wants to pay for an upgrade, he will ask at the port to see what's available and they will tell him how much $$$ they want!

thanks for all the warm welcomes. WE are also staying at the Renaissance Barcelona Airport Saturday night and catching a flight out on Sunday morning. Our ta told us we couldn't make the 10:00 flight on Saturday morning and the later flights were so much higher, we just decided to spend a day doing Barcelona on our own. WE have purchased the tourist bus pass and will be spending the day hopping on and off and getting lost. The fountain looks so cool that we just might meet you Saturday nighters there as well.

That is where we are booked for 1 night now. Have you heard anything about the cabs fom the hotel to town? On 1 of the reviews I read it said to expect to pay 20 - 25 eurs each way. That's $50 or more. So I figure if this is true then from the port and 2 trips to town is going to be $125 or more. Trying to decide if we should change to a hotel in town for the convience and just pay to get to the airport. Any thoughts on this?

I understand there is a metro/train station near the hotel. I plan to use the metro to go to Montjuic to explore on the 27th. Then home on the 28th.
We're staying at that hotel because we're using Marriott points - the "price" is hard to resist!
Otherwise, I was looking at hotels near metro stations more towards the center of town.

I wanted to see the pyramids in the Canary Islands but I can not find any info on them. Has anyone researched that? I would love some help with that stop.

A while back there were a couple of us that were interested. Since there is no ship excursion going there, we may have to hire a taxi. Let's check in with each other during the cruise and put a plan together.

ah yes I do remember.... thanks for the thought...but I'd rather make sure you guys got to the port... I only live an hour from the magic, so our gourp will drive using a rental one way.. even though we have xfers.

Wow Kathy--I was about to throw my two cents worth and find you've already done it for me! KEWL. Yes, we hear the buses are efficeint and clean. I speak a fair amount of Spanish so I think we can negotiate it. We are a aprty of 6, and I will just ask a Taxi driver the rate before we hop a bus (if it is really cheap we will take the taxi). Otherwise It looks to me like we can get a bus fairly easily. I like to get an early start, so if anyone wants to tag along they can, just look me up on board and then be ready to get off bright and early.

It was an absolutely wonderfully magical day here in the heartland of america.
We were out in the beautiful weather for most of the day. Ended with a frozen custard stop. Just got in and decided to catch up on the boards.

Put in Bay was great. Loved the World's Longest Bar.

Picture was Jack at CC was my fault. Forgot my camera, had to go back to the cabin. When we got to where he was at. I just missed him.

On pirate night, we were on deck four enjoying a beverage when he walked by. He actually talked to us for about a minute. Again, no camera. Arrrghhhh!

Good question.. I'm sure we will need several for different colors and we will need several people working at the same time. I'll be getting some as well. I will be meeting with CQuick probably on Tuesday and Misseulalie, if she is not teaching, at the Florida Mall Michaels and Joann's to choose a banner material. Anyone that wants in on the shopping trip can certainly join us.
