Thank you!! I saw the friend of the family form on DCL, but couldn't find anything about missing parent. I'll definitely get this done right away.
I'll look for the bottle jacket things. Good to know that glass & liquids can survive the baggage handler gorillas (I'm dating myself - samsonite commercial)
I didn't know about needing it for state lines also. Last summer the kids and I drove up to WA to visit some good friends. The liquor taxes in WA are quite high so we make a "Costco run" for our friends when we drive up. The back of the minivan was filled with a year's supply of liquid libations. I was worried about having to explain that if I got pulled over. It never occurred to me that I might have to explain my missing DH too.![]()
HSM was very good. Eric & Rio, I am impressed that you know all the songs and the dances. Linda, I told DD's that your DD was in the movie. Now I have to go back and find your post because they want to know which one she is.
whew..I remember those gorillas...I think it is worse today!
I have to deal with health care for kids without parents - that is why I am aware of the state line thing...we have had to call fathers in NYC and they have no idea the kids are in NJ, sometimes in breach of a court order...gets messy. I had a state trouper tell me about it years ago also - I am sure that you would not have a problem for the most part. I think it is an issue with foster care kids, divorced parents in coustody fights, etc.
I have a co-worker who lives in Florida and works in NJ/NY. When he brings his daughter up he has to bring a letter from his wife so there are no problems with her flying with him. I guess he doesn't look the daddy part
