Either my computer is acting up or the dis is very slow again!

yeah, I don't know what the deal is.
I think we are set for excursions...not booking anyt through DCL. So I'll just have to be up to book Palo and register the girls in the clubs!

The only 1 we will do is the sea lions in PV. I figure it's about $50 more total through DCL but we would have to pay for cab and lunch so it's about the same $.

I woke up today with a sore throat and stuffy nose..it's going around our office so I guess I am the next victim.

Poor you. Look after yourself.

John started with a cold yesterday. We had been so pleased to have a vacation without something wrong with us.

It's slow as molasses on a cold winter night.

Woody

I think I would have got through catching up in half the time if the Dis was up to speed.

I guess we might be in for some down time soon whilst they sort it.

In PV when we were there summer 2007 my DGS was not allowed to do the sea lions because you have to be 8yo. The DCL excursion says age 5. I checked the park online and it says 8 and I called and they say 8yo is the youngest age allowed. Should I take a chance and book with DCL? On the TA cruise one of the excursions said 5yo but at a later date was changed to 8yo.

I have talked to a head person at the adventure center in PV and they said that NO child under 8 and 4'5" will be allowed to do the sea lions, not even through a cruise line. So for those thinking about it keep this in mind.

Woo Hoo! Just officially booked our first DCL cruise! 3 nights on Jan 10th! Now we will be CC members at the time of booking excursions!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! Not sure if we would have had a hard time getting reservations for things or not but we (OK fine, I) decided that I didn't want to take the chance. From this thread alone I would have to assume that the majority of people onboard are repeat cruisers.

Exactly my thoughts!! I really don't want to do any excursions at all. I just want to go to the beaches and relax!!!

Maybe I could hang with your family....I am going to be missing my little ones so much!!

The closer this gets, the more worried I get that I won't be able to leave the girls.

You are certainly welcome to hang with our family :goodvibes My little ones might be too little for you though, 9 and 6...just a few years behind your girls.

Hope all goes well today with the surgery:hug:

John and I are smokers....we just made an appointmet to get zapped.....a cold laser treatment.....to quit. This will be our third try at it. We're scheduled for the afternoon on New Year's Eve. So we hope to be smoke free in 08. Wish us luck!!!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Best of luck Deb & John!!! I have had several patients quit really easy (per their words) using the new prescription chantix. Also acupuncture works great for some as well. I have never heard of the laser treatment, keep us informed as to how it works!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!!!

Ditte.....Happy Birthday Amy!!!party: :bday: party:

Right - a few highlights from our holiday.
John had a little brain storm and on the Saturday before the cruise we bought into DVC!!! Now, this is the guy who isn't really into Disney, so I am still amazed.:confused3

:cool1: :cool1: Welcome to the DVC family Marilyn & John!:cool1: :cool1: Sounds like you had a great vacation, and what a great way to end your trip with a guarentee for many more future visits!!!! Which resort did you buy into?

I woke up today with a sore throat and stuffy nose..it's going around our office so I guess I am the next victim.

V...take care of yourself! Lots of rest, water, and immune support.

ugh, they didn't have the soup I wanted! :( Oh well, I really feel like going home and going to bed. Problem is, I hate sitting down and looking at everything I need to be doing!

Welcome back John! Don't worry, I didn't burn my house down! :rotfl: I guess the torch must be a common thing for plumbing because at Walmart they're sold in the plumbing aisle, right with the bathroom sink pipes & drain unclogging stuff, etc. But I wasn't brave enough to actually buy one and try it. I managed to get one nut unscrewed, but still have one more to try. We got too busy with other stuff for me to keep trying. Will have more time tomorrow.

I've used one when plumbing, but only to soder pipes.

EXCURSIONS are out!

WOOHOO!!!

I was goign to catch up on the rest of the thread, but now I want to check these out before I need to get to a real estate closing. I'll check back in tonight!

That is the worst when you are sick and craving something specific. Sorry V. You should go home and go to bed, that way you can wake tomorrow feeling great!:goodvibes

I'm still having some back pain and am going for my x-rays tomorrow. It's been 3 long weeks and I've had enough! But I do feel lucky that I'm not dealing with anything worse. A co-worker of mine, she's also a friend, just found out last week her 5 yr old grandson has cancer. He has had the tumour removed, it was attached to his bladder, and they are now going to do more tests to see if it has spread. They think they got it all, but he will be having chemo treatments for the next 9-12 months. Very upsetting and scary for their family.

Kathe

Kathe:

So sorry to hear you are dealing with back pain as I know how debilitating that type of pain can be trying to deal with the every day normal things. Hope our coworkers GS has had all the cancer removed. Prayers for him and his family during this difficult time. :pixiedust:
