All the championship classes are the final weekend, of course. Looks like pretty good timing. I'd recommend checking out accomodations options now, even if you're not sure yet, just to get an idea of what's around and prices. Do you own/have time share points/exchanges? There are some great resorts in Scottsdale. You can also look at North Phoenix (where I live) too. If you really think you might be considering this, PM me and I'll give you my phone number.

hmmmm, I'll talk to the hubby about this idea and let ya know :thumbsup2

Have a great trip Monica....we want to see the pics of everyone especially the littlist one.

Glad Wil and Mickey got their Cat 4....now I can hang out with you and them and Nan....I'll be cruising!!! DODs everywhere. I'll go terrace hopping instead of bar hopping. HA HA HA!

I'm glad we have a princess grace again too. How appropriate.

ya ya I'll have wine chilled....:lmao:

Holly, have you tried calling Blake again??? Why not??? I really think you should try again. I know he would love to hear from you!

ok, Deb this cracked me up.

You asked
you asked again
and then you answered

you and Holly are telepathic...

Here is my story for today. I had a TERRIBLE work day. Sometimes I just hate my job. I wish I could figure out how to quit and still feed my family. :rotfl2:

I went to the hospital at 4:30pm and they had just taken out Frank's ventalator. He was able to breathe on his own!! But in the CVICCCU (CardioVascular Intensive Critical Cardiac Care Unit) all the rooms are all glass.
Frank's door was shut (looks like a sliding glass door) and there was a HUGE sign DO NOT ENTER ISOLATION. See nurses station before entering. Then there was all these other rule signs.....wash hands for 2 minutes, wear gloves, wear gown, ...plus more I can't remember.

I went to the nurses station and he has a bacterial infection and he will be in isolation for 10-12 days. They did not seem very worried about it?? Anyway I followed all the rules and went in. It was so good to hear him say a few words. He did keep asking me why his wife (my DMIL) was not there (she passed away 2 1/2 years ago). He kept asking for my DH. I was allowed to swab water inside his mouth (first water he has had for a week) and he LOVED that. I asked for vaseline for his lips and they gave it to me. I stayed for about 3 hours. Much longer than I had planned, but he did not want me to leave. I didn't want to leave either....but I was getting really tired and it is a long drive home from the hospital.

I guess all in all it is a good report for Frank. Certainly better than yesterday...except for the infection. Tomorrow he will start PT, if he is still doing good.

Thanks again for all the prayers and concern

sorry about the job, I so get that feeling. I'm only doing what I do now for the money. No love of the hours or work anymore.

Good news on Frank. And it's lovely that you and DH can spot each other. Let your mom's anger roll off your back. I think part of this kind of stuff with our folks when they are old and near the end is to let us prepare to have them be gone. I know you've had your rough times with your mom, but maybe the Lord is working it this way to ease her out of your life :confused3

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!! Take lots of pictures and have a wonderful Bday     bon voyage:dance3:

Off to Molly's class, her teacher called me to join them in "Extreme Makeover
Ginderbread Edition" Glad to go in her class, just wish it wasn't when I was so under water at work...yes still bad here on that front. V, wanna come and reconcile a few accounts for me :lmao: capitalize legal perhaps :rotfl2:

ok, that's sad accountant humor...gotta run.

hmmmm, wanna 1o year old red head tagging along onthat horse ride?:rolleyes1 Neither Paul nor I like to ride...but Molly loves her horsies.

That's why I was mentioning it....she's more than welcome to come along!

Noel - have a good and safe trip to FL....see you on Friday!

Hi Marilyn - funny reading about the Yorkshire pudding. My mom used to make this all the time when we lived in Brazil, but she's always said it wasn't traditional YP. I have no idea where her recipe came from, but it was YUMMY!!!!

Lisa - good news about Frank - I'm so glad you've been able to spend all that time with him...I know it means alot to him and it will help him get better. Sorry about the job situation though. To tell you the truth I don't know many people at all that don't just work for a pay check.

I fully understand....what a horrible day for you. It seems that Tyler acts up whenever his routine is changed. You might want to try talking to him about changes and see what he says. Just a thought! Hang in there....you'll be taking him to the doctor soon.
Thanks. I always thought his issues were triggered by change in routine, but it has continued through today, day 3 of "Tyler the Terrible". He's such an anger-filled kid when he has this type of day. SO glad we'll start seeing the psychologist soon. I think she'll need to help me too! My sanity is about gone. We had a rough day today too. I'll have to tell his dad today when he picks him up about his suspension and how he's been acting the past 3 days. His dad will lecture him, which in my mind is pointless to get after him for things that have happened in the past, and then he'll take him away for 3 nights. A much needed sanity break. It was so rough, I'm considering asking his dad if he'd like an extra night with Tyler and having him keep him until Sunday, but I probably won't because I'd feel guilty. OH....WAIT! His dad's sister is doing their Christmas get-together this Saturday afternoon and he already told me he'd need extra time with Tyler that evening, so maybe I'll tell him he can just bring him home the next morning to make things easier. Yeah, that's it! :thumbsup2

You know, I did have a thought today that Tyler is going to grow up just like everybody else does, and will be fine. His mom will have WAY too many grey hairs WAY too early, but he'll be just fine. :rotfl2: But seriously, once he starts seeing the psychologist, I'm fully confident that things will stabilize as we all learn different ways to cope and ways to help him through his rough days.

Regarding Blake, it just dawned on me that he's probably going to be out Christmas shopping after work all this week, and I think he didn't realize that in his eagerness to go out. I do remember him saying he still hasn't done his shopping yet, plus I need to get the whole house cleaned, de-cluttered, and organized before Santa drops his load of gifts on us (Santa's coming a day early because Tyler will be at his dad's on Christmas), so I'm running out of time too. I think it will just be better to wait to see him until after Christmas, especially since with almost a 3 hour roundtrip drive, it would require lots of time, which nobody has the week before Christmas. :thumbsup2

Have a great time on your trip and a very Happy Birthday! :yay:

Holly - Made the call yet?
Nope. Was too busy last night until late. Tonight I have company coming over right after Tyler leaves, so I might try to call him after she leaves, but I'll more likely wait until after Christmas. After all, that's only a few days away! :goodvibes

Gotta get off here. Migraine starting, so off to take meds. Will check back after Tyler goes to his dad's.

Forgot to mention last night that one of our local dollar stores has lime green feather boas! I think I should buy out their whole supply! :lmao:

Oh dear, it must be so draining physically and emotionally for you. The extra day's break will give you some respite and then you'll be excited to have him back.

I have had the worst day. I have spent all day trying to undo someone's mistake.....dating all the way back to FY 06. I have one location done, but the main location I am still working on. Headache!!
