We had a crazy morning today because we were running late. We get in the car, drive to school, and pull into an EMPTY parking lot. I never thought to check the news to see if schools were closed because the snow stopped quite early Sunday, so the plows had time to clear things out. Roads were clear. The thought never crossed my mind school would be closed. :headache: I suppose maybe the outlying areas didn't get plowed yet, I don't know. So I had to call work and tell them I can't come in. I was so upset because I can't afford to lose a day of pay with the 4 other days I'll already be missing for the holidays. Have to find someplace free to go so we can get out of the house before I go stir crazy. Need to go buy winter gloves so we can make a snowman later. Might go to the museum Tyler likes so well or the library for something free to do. BUT.....since I was bad and stayed up until 2am, I need to see if Tyler will watch a long movie and I'll nap on the couch until it's done! :rotfl2:

This makes me laugh!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: When I turned on the local news this morning at 5am, it was reporting that 32 school districts in Michigan were closed. I thought of you and what you were going to do with Tyler today.....I guess I knew before you did!!

I thought it was so funny that the DC TV stations were reporting school closings in Michigan!!

I am so envious of blondes or light brown haired women who can grow grey gracefully and look wonderful. I am very dark, and the grey just looks awful. I guess I am a like you there Deb! I hate to keep having it coloured, and I think soon I will have to find a way of slowly allowing the true colours to come through as you can't be too dark when you are too old!!!

I was always going to just go grey, but It was so horrible with my hair colour that I couldn't. No need to give up colouring at 50 though.

When I first started coloring my hair I matched my natural color, which is dark brown. Now that I'm past 50, I've gone lighter to a medium brown with highlights of blonde or red. I somehow think that if you go lighter, then you can continue to color it as you grow older and don't have to show any greys. It's got me fooled into thinking that it's working for me. HA HA HA!!!

I colour a bit lighter too, but after a while it seems to go off colour if you know what I mean. I hate it when the dark and grey roots show - which there was something temporary I could use. Looks wonderful at first though.

I would love to color my hair but I had a friend who was a hairdresser who strongly advised me against it. She said since I was a natural redhead that I would never be able to go back to my real shade...so I have always been scared off from coloring...my sister on the other hand has been red, blonde, brown....brown is her natural color. She was blonde for xmas along with a Wii (which she is getting) a new bedroom set and a GPS system.....I guess she dreams big!

I would never color my hair if I had your natural color. It's too beautiful!

Hey - Those are fighting words! :lmao: My hair is grey!

I'm sure yours is beautiful because it's probably all silver grey, which I would not dye. But mine is dark with a grey streak down the front and I look like Lilly, Herman Munster's wife. Believe me, it's not attractive. If I was all silver grey I wouldn't dye it.

Truce!

I'm a believer in to each his/her own. I'm too lazy to color, I have a few grays coming in and plan to just let it come in. My mom went gray early I remember not wanting an old mom. I hope to remind my daughter (when she notices mine go gray) it's not about how you look but how you feel :thumbsup2

Got home from lunch and had a message that Airtran could switch me to the exact flights I wanted. So now flights are set in stone! $45 for all 3 of us both ways, I have to buy DH a ticket when they go on sale again. Got the limo scheduled so I'm ready to go!

I'm so happy....I just weighed myself and I lost the 5lbs that I gained over Birthday and Turkey day plus another 2lbs for a total of 7lbs in the last two weeks. Slow but steady we're making progress. YEAH!!!

yippeee!!! I am looking into the one way rental car to Orlando.

That is what we will be doing - Budget probably, picking up from the hotel(??name) near DTD.

Oh no poor you.

I was thinking I probably end up same as you because I cannot hear the radio every morning. Can you make up the times at work as save lost a day of pay? Or what the policy of bad weather as not your fault if school shut? Just wonder about that.

Oh I must show the your photos of snowing with Tyler to my husband.

For those taking the Hummerzine to the port. Do you remember what time we are meeting at the airport? Or have we set a time yet?
