Hmmm.......I saw him drinking wine at the Christmas party, so I could ask around and find out what he likes. Maybe a bottle of his favorite wine with some sort of goodies to go with it. Problem is that I can't give him anything at work because we're told not to do that. And I'd feel strange taking it to his house. I'll have to give it some thought. I've never had a boss do the nice things he does, so this is new territory for me.

Holly,

I am still WAY behind and decided to jump in only a few pages behind...

We can always ship a bottle to his home from you...

Just a thought. Our website is www.winemiles.com

Hi everyone!! I feel so bad that I haven't caught up...just doing these drive by posts. I'm in Minneapolis with my sister tonight, staying at the Westin. We will drive to Alexandria (about 2 1/2 hours north) tomorrow to visit our Grandmother. Just fly up to say hi, nervous she might not make it through the recovery of her hip surgery (she's 98).

So what is up with the Villa??? I love the sound of it, but not sure what it is about. We usually make a reservation at a hotel at the ports, try to get a day rate but sometimes can't. I love hanging out at hotel pools. I can try to catch up, but am afraid I might not be able.

I'm sure I'm missing tons...but did see that Lisa's DFIL had surgery. Hope all is well. And Marilyn is back. Yeah! And Deb states that Noel is right about something, which isn't surprising because I find her always right! And I know there is so much more....I'm sorry I can't keep up. With the holidays, work, family, parties....you all know! So excited we can start to discuss excursions! So what is the deal with the villa?? Lisa

DITTO to it all!!

So behind and SO busy at work!

Tons to ship out and UPS has our system locked up... long story, but it's been a very stressful week!

My house looks like Santa threw up Christmas all over the place!

We did get some baking done and some presents wrapped today. We too have pounds of fudge made!

Sending lots of pixiedust: to those in need.

I miss you all and I'll try to catch up in January!!

Happy Hollidays!!??

Karen

Hi Karen, great to hear from you. Thought this would be a busy period for you

Looking forward to more folk joining in again in the new year.

Holly and John1, it looks like you have had snow all night.

Deb, I wonder how you are doing too.

Very cold here and Church wasn't much better than being outside either - and we meet in a hotel!!!

Good Morning

I finished work at 6 am this morning and outside was very cold. My car was frosted. I had to stripped it off before drive home. Brzzzingg - cold.

My boss told me that Leon won the XFACTOR, I couldn't believe that he is a Scottish man not far where I lives! He beat Wales and England last night.

I taped it and will watch it tonight.

Oh yes, it called American Idol in USA, In UK, we called XFACTOR!! As Simon Cowell said next one is Amercia Idol.

Deb - put up tree should be enough for you. It would be nice.

Neol - Happy Birthday.

Now I am taking my daughter to my work children's Xmas Party. My husband is off to his mate who have a new big TV (50 inch) to watch Football with the beers!!

Have a nice day

good morning...the cold front has not happened yet, still in the 80's here.
Hopefully a lazy day today!

I'm feeling bad today! Should feel better tomorrow, but usually feel tired for a week or more. We stay awake all day when we get home which we believe helps the jetlag problems.

Need to go and have a look at the excursions too and have a whole UK forum to read through yet!!!!! Plus, still have a couple of wash loads and the most humungous pile of ironing mounting up. Might just put the summer clothes away unironed.:rolleyes1

VERY SMART!! If you iron them, they will probably need ironing again when you get them out anyway. This way, you can unpack them, run them through the dryer with a damp bath towel and iron them "fresh."

We have so few things that need ironing any more--if it does not say "permanent press" I don't buy it.:rotfl:

Jan :earsgirl:

Morning everyone!! It's rainy and gross outside, but at least it seems like the freezing stuff is over for the time being. I don't feel very much like going to swim lessons though! So hard to go from grey 38 degree weather into the pool.

Now, there are 2 canopy tours I seem to remember. One looks more frightening, with a long absail down a cliff. I wouldn't want to do that one, but the other in the forest looks good. I am just not sure how I would get on, but I would so love to try. Well, I guess you can't actually 'try' can you? Think I am too scared.

The one in Cabo is down a long cliff. That is the one we are doing. We have done one in a rainforest and it is AWESOME. IN P.V. we are swimming with the Sea Lions.

I remember when you posted that picture before and I was thinking, "Wow, that camera has a great zoom"! I never would have thought it was taken from the water! Very cool!

Oooooooooh! I'd love to get married on the Magic! As a matter of fact, after my first cruise, I told myself if I ever get married again, that's where I'll do it!

I really love that camera too! My mom is getting me a Canon S5 for christmas. DH dropped ours on out last cruise, it still works but the stabilization is broken. I would like to have both but will just bring an underwater camera. Unless I find the olympus at a good price.

DH an I thought about getting married on the ship but had never been on a cruise before. So we got married at WDW, I highly recommend a Disney wedding. It was amazing and they treated me like a Princess all day.

Holly Where have you been tonight, I needed to chat and no one was home here.

Is it snowing?
Sorry Lisa! After I picked Tyler up from his dad's, we came home for a quick dinner, then we went to see "The Gospel According to Scrooge" at a huge church here at 7. It was AWESOME! It was a 2 hour show, and the storm had started while we were there, so after clearing off the car, and a white-knuckle drive home, and a snack for Tyler when we got home, he wasn't in bed until almost 10!

Then I had to rush and move things around in my garage so I could fit my car inside. Then I was able to post a tiny bit here after that, but then MY CABLE WENT OUT! So with no tv, and no internet, I just went to bed.

We woke up this morning, cable is back, and SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!!!! I said, "Tyler, why don't you open the front door and see if anything is different outside." :rotfl2: I wish I had thought to have a camera ready to capture the look on his face! :rotfl: He sat there with his jaw hanging almost to the floor, speechless for a few seconds! When I opened our back door, where we have a stoop with 3 steps, I was shocked to see that the whole stoop has disappeared and the snow is about 1/2 inch from the bottom of our door! It's still snowing heavily, so if I don't get out there soon and shovel, we won't be able to open our back door!

BUT Tyler left his boots at his dad's house, so I'm going to have to call him to have him bring them over. No way would I be able to keep Tyler inside while I'm out there shoveling. He'll go nuts with wanting to play in snow that deep! I'd say we got our foot already that we were supposed to have by tonight. AND IT'S STILL SNOWING!

Deb & Gina, how's your snow situation? Sorry if this is answered in a post I haven't caught up on yet. Trying to get Tyler to watch Rudolph & Frosty in July while I catch up here.

Thank you Karen! But I'm not sure I'll decide what I'll do on time for shipping. If I do, I'll surely let you know.

I'm SO glad I remembered to get my car in the garage last night. Otherwise, it would surely take 1/2 hour and lots of mess to clear it off! :goodvibes

GREAT NEWS! I was looking around for some warm gloves for myself, which for some reason I can't find, but anyway, I found Tyler's old winter boots from last year and they're the same size as this year, so we don't have to make his dad shovel out just to bring us his boots. :goodvibes Tyler must have been swimming in those boots last year! :rotfl2:

I have one of those waterproof Aquapac bags for my camera, so I'll definitely take it outside with us when we shovel just so you can see how high the snow is on Tyler. After seeing the depth from the path the neighbors have shoveled, it's not as much as I'd thought, but still lots! The snow we shovel out of our driveway and sidewalk will surely make a huge hill in our yard, so maybe I can plan it so that Tyler can sled down it from one side of the yard to the other! How fun would that be? Not sure if I can figure that out, but will sure try!

Oh my.....I just checked out the snowmancam to compare and we definitely have more snow here. I'll bet John1 is shovelling out too. Sounds like Deb & Gina didn't get any yet. Must be on its way!
