thanks for letting me know about the pain, I have never had any teeth issues (no cavities, no teeth pulled) so I can't relate and I'm afraid of the pain. I hope she will be ok.

Noel, you are too organized for me. :lmao: In my next life, okay in my next house, when I have a closet that will fit my stuff in I will take that sage advise :goodvibes

I had my wisdom teeth pulled in my early twenties but still have never had a cavity. However, I ate lemons as a kid so I have veneers on my six front teeth. Now that I am in menopause I am having trouble with gums, but not my teeth.

I am not that organized, I just hang them with other cruise stuff as if I don't they will "disappear" into the house never to be seen again until a massive spring cleaning.

I'm glad to have the teeth pulled now, get it over with and she can have a pretty smile. She looks so much better now than before the first round of braces, I hate to have that wrecked by too many teeth over the next few years.

ok, I have to confess on the doll. I didn't like it when we saw in it LA. She doesn't look Chinese to me. I talked Molly out of it (she had her own money saved to buy it then) but all the way home she was sad. She agreed with me just to make me happy (she knew I was so sad about my mom that weekend that anything she could try to do to make me smile or happy was tried) so, we got home and the next day I got a free shipping email from AG and had to order the darn doll. Now she means good things to me, about how Molly was being tender hearted to me when I was really blue.

regular teeth here get $1 or $2 bucks in coins too. The $20 came from our close friends, playgroup we call them ( we each have a girl and a boy same ages) so we pretty much follow in line with each other to keep it "the same" between the kids when they share. Another mom beat me to the pulled tooth punch and set the rate....darn it :confused3
[/QUOTE

It's good your getting them pulled now. My DB didn't get his pulled and after braces his teeth started to get crooked again:sad2:

What a nice memory you'll have everytime you look at that AG doll:cloud9: What a sweet DD you have.

We have a playgroup that we had for years and we all had a boy and then a girl of the same ages...it works out great for playdates and getting together but now that the kids all started school they all go to different schools so we don't see each other as much:sad2: My DS had a scrimmage during soccer practice with another team and his friend from our playgroup was the opposing team they were so happy to see each other they were playmates since 6months old.

I seem to remember somebody here saying they took their kids to see Walking with Dinosaurs, but I just can't remember who it was. If that person reads this, I'm interested in knowing how the show was! As soon as I first got the e-mail advertising the presale of tickets, I've been considering taking Tyler, but it's a pretty expensive show. Even the lowest priced seats in the farthest back section are pretty expensive, but if it's as incredible as it looks to be, we'll be going! I was amazed just watching the video clips on their website. But it would be nice to hear from somebody who actually saw the show.

Is this what you mean? I would tell my DD but we will be on the Magic when they are in San Jose in December.

Yup. Somebody on here took their kids recently and I'm dying to hear about it! There are a couple video clips on that website that are really neat. I was amazed at the one showing how thye made the dinosaurs.

It looks really good...curious what the person thought that saw it.

Yeah I just did my first double quote post:cool1: I'm pretty slow when it comes to electronics...that's why my DH has engineering background so he could help me with this stuff;) Where has Ragdoll been she was my computer challenged sidekick:confused3

Well, going to see what's on :happytv: and do some:laundy: laundry baskets almost empty :cool1: only one load left and all the laundry in my house clean at least for a day. Whoever suggested throwing all the socks away and starting with same style sock for each member of the family was pure genius:idea:

ours playgroup started when Molly was 6 weeks. We had 3 girls that stuck together (okay us moms stuck together) we then all got pregnant (me becuase they told me it was my turn) and had our boys at 0-3-6 months. It's so nice to have the same sets. We also split at school age 5 years ago, but somehow that next summer we globbed back together. Same thing when the girls hit 1st grade, apart all year, then summer back at it. The next school year 2nd grade the girls wanted to see more of each other during the school year so we never fell back apart. The girls are now all in the same girl scout troop, I'm the leader, got another mom to co-lead with me last year. The boys all joined the same Pack for boy scouts, but one of them decided that he really wanted to stick with his school friends instead (small Catholic school) the other boys are stuck like glue to the pack so I'm content.

long story....maybe your group will find it's way back together, never give up hope and keep trying to make contact. Those babyhood friends are wonderful. IMHO :rolleyes1

That must be very hard for you Noel...I read in a book once, those people in your life that hurt you the most are the ones that really love you the most because they are giving up their own karma in order to help you with yours....if you believe in karma, and I do, then this makes sense.

No matter what, you still had your grandmother....some of my best memories ever are dancing with my grandmother.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Reminds me of the song "Dance with my Father Again" from the late great Luther Vandross. I still shed a tear everytime I hear that song and I think of my dad...

I was blessed with two of the most loving, giving and truly generous parents a person could ever hope to have.

I loved dancing with my dad and snuggling with my mom...

I so completely miss them, but I am grateful for the time that I was given with them.

I'm sorry that not everyone can have a close relationship with their parents, or that they even have great parents, but Hopefully they have found close relationships with grandparents, unlces, aunts, etc.

Good morning. Belated Happy anniversary Lisa and Don. For some reason I thought it was at the weekend.

So, as I prepared to finish schoolwork for tomorrow's 3 classes, I took quite some time trying to find all my books. Then I figured they must still be in the trunk of my car. Long story short, it seems I left 2 of my books at my brother's house in Tennessee! He won't be home from his honeymoon until Sunday, so he can't mail them to me until Monday. Needless to say, I'm SCREWED for tomorrow night! I'm sure John1 can tell you how brutal law professors are if they call on your and you're unprepared. I really hate to have to use my one allowed pass for such a silly mistake, but have no choice. What a bummer. :sad2: Oh well.....the upside to this is that I won't be up 1/2 the night doing homework! :thumbsup2

Oh dear, sorry about the books. Hope you are not one of the 'chosen ones'. Looks like you were studying on the trip though.;)

Hey everyone I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I wanted to offer it to all my cruise mates. I know i haven't been very talkative but I promise I will be (as long as y'all don't mind)!

My friend at work makes lanyards with beads and such and can make them in Black with Lime Green accents and I have Badge holders for room keys. Would this be something anyone would be interested in doing for our cruise?

I don't know how to post photos otherwise I would post a photo of my work lanyard so you could see.

Back in the pages lost in the annals of time somebody was organising lanyards, but I think was having problems. It could be they would be pleased to bits to have someone else take over. I must go and see if I can find some info. Perhaps on the Ship of Thieves discussion board.

It's cdnmickeylover who was organising them. She hasn't posted in ages actually - hope they are ok.

thanks on both counts.

did I mention that the TF also gives big bucks for pulled teeth??? Those get $20 a pop.

Normal teeth get a few special coins, .50 piece, gold dollar (sacajawea dollar), silver dollar, etc...

$20???!!! Mine would have been trying to pull their own teeth.:lmao:

Good Morning

That what I thought.

Kids are wearing Jeans as today is special at school for helping children with genetic disorders!! plus one pound each.

So today I have to clean the kitchen and do some washing and mop the floors.

As it is lovely day outside but seem cold now.

no school for us tomorrow, teacher in service day :goodvibes

Not so good for Miss Molly, she has an oral surgeon appointment tomorrow, she is having 5 teeth pulled :scared1: 1 baby tooth and 4 adult. Her mouth is too small for all her teeth to fit. When you look at her xrays you can see that her top teeth are headed to crash into her 2 front teeth.

Poor baby she is scared, okay me too. It's alot of teeth pulled for a little girl.

The tooth fairy is well prepared. She has the new AG doll, Ivy (she is the friend of Julie, the girl from 1976) coming to befriend her in the morning with a note of confidence. I guess that fairy better get off her dairy(er) and get the note written before she gets engrossed in :surfweb: & :happytv:

btw, mom's post op surgery went good today. She has moved home from the skilled nursing care area back to her apartment. I made the appointments for next week too, another with her surgeon (the fluid is still there and will need to be drained) and also with the cardiologist. Her glacoma procedure is tenatively set for 10/29. It never ends with elder care.

Lisa, how are things with your mom these days?

Lisa,

Happy Anniversary!

Glad your mom is doing well and on the road to recovery!

Sorry that Molly has to go throught so much! The AG doll will make it all better! Great idea.

Had a guy walk into the shop with a Yankees shirt and cap on lamenting that his team would "come back". After he walked out (after buying NOTHING) we all looked at each other and said "we hate the yankees"!!!:cool2:

So glad to be in good company at the shop!:rolleyes1

GO TRIBE!!

GO D-BACKS!!

Tribe and D-Backs for the Series!

It is so lovely out we thought we would take a trip up into the Yorkshire Dales, visiting Grassington where we haven't been for a good few years - well it must be over 7, since we moved here!!!

Holly - we went! I would not say it was worth $100 a seat that we paid but it was good. It was educational but towards the end it had a few laughs. The dinosaurs are on wheels but it looks like they are walking. My 5yo DGS loved it!

So you didn't meet HoagiPie? She is my best friend out here in AZ but just moved to FL 20min. from WDW she met milestogo and AuntiBrat...she's the one that told me about the DIS she still meets up with people and is cruising with DIS friends. She's so fun I'm going to miss her she flew to FL today. Her and her DH and DD were the ones with all the medals on the cruise. At least you know people from the TA and by the time we cruise...I'm sure we'll know each other pretty well:goodvibes

I just looked at her pix and sorry but I don't remember her. It could be that when I see her again that I will remember her. I am awful with names! I do remember her posting on the other site.
