Hi Karen, we had the Selby Dry Creek Valley Syrah and loved it! Light nose, dry finish and just a bit of a tangy aftertaste which you know I love. It was great and the meal was great and the movie was good too....we saw The Last Mimzy.

The legs are getting better everyday. I should be swimming by cruise time at the end of Oct. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning Marilyn and hello Karen & any other west coast folks who may be around. Just one last check before heading out. When my alarm went off, I could hear it for a long time in my sleep, but couldn't figure out what in the world I might be hearing in the middle of the night! Then I finally figured it out. Showered, everything is in the car, headed out in a minute. I did forget to stop and pick up that Disney princesses video Tyler's been wanting, so we'll stop at a Walmart along the way and buy it. He'll be surprised!

Well, those Ashtons were scattered all over the UK, so you never know!

Just a couple of days from the two month mark for my next cruise! We're waiting through this weekend, and if our DVC wait list doesn't come through, we're going with plan B (POFQ). I've just hated being in limbo on this....just like I hate being GTY for this cruise. At least at POFQ we'll just be down the river from our friends at SSR and can easily meet up at DTD.

I'm catching up on all my DISing tonight. Tomorrow morning THERE WILL BE NO DISing...not till some chores are done. Doing this: first thing in the morning can stretch into a several hour marathon. Must clean kitchen, pay bills and de-clutter before touching the computer.

Hey Bubba...I must have gotten off just when you came on....so I'm a day late here....John and I are good. How about you and Venetia?

We're almost done getting mom's house ready for auction on Oct 20th...just three more weeks....that's going to be a hard day, especially if it doesn't sell....or even if it does sell...still hard...but hopefully after that things will start to get more normal again.

We're looking forward to our Halloween cruise...we're leaving on Oct 25th so that will be a much needed vacation after the house goes.

When is the barbeque party for Venetia's mom? How are plans for that going? That will be a bitter sweet day for you...celebrating mom's life with family and friends. Hope it all goes well.

Hi Deb. B.B.Q. is Oct 13. As far as plans , done deal. All set to go. Tri Tip and chicken cooked by me and my brother. Guests will bring sides and desserts. Butterfly realease will be cool too!

I'll be looking for a butterfly and thinking of you on Oct 13...sounds like an awesome time. Enjoy!

So exciting waiting for an upcoming cruise that's getting close. I love it! I like when you get to the 30 day mark and change from counting weeks to counting days...I have 26 days left until I leave.

Looks like Karen will be shipping a truck load!! I believe she is sending the Champagne for the Champagne Girls tasting, and I seem to remember her saying she hopes to do a wine tasting session for our group, plus a few are going to have her ship their wine choices too!!! Going to be a busy time for them!!

We are up to the task!!

Just need a couple weeks notice!

I will be testing out the shipping this November with our cruise!

Enjoy your stay there! We have driven by the turn off to Torrey Pines on the way to La Jolla, but have never stopped by!
