Hello to all my fellow cruisers. Surgery went well on Monday. We arrived right on time at 8:45AM and I was whisked into my room. Since I had filled out all the paperwork before hand things went very smoothly.

Next thing I know I was meeting again with the anesthesiologist, Peter who also has a DD the same as our Samantha. He put a line in my arm and in no time I was fast asleep. When I woke up, surgery was over and I was somewhat groggy. I dozed off and on until about 3 PM. The nurse, Paula, brought me some water and cranberry juice to help me wake up.

I was dressed and ready to go by 4:00PM and home by 4:45PM. Other than being a bit sore near the incision sites, I am feeling fine, just taking it slow and easy.

I did read the boards here a bit and am very sorry to hear about Nan's Mother. Much ixiedust: and prayers to Nan and her Mom for a positive outcome on the PET scan.

So great to hear the good news Noel. Glad it went easy and right. Don't forget to take care of yourself and rest until you're fully recouperated. So happy it went well for you!:

From Ship to Shore: Disney Cruise Line Offers Cell Phone Service at Sea
Disney Cruise Line guests now have another way to share their vacation highlights with friends and family back home. The cruise line now offers cell phone service at sea. Disney Cruise Line has partnered with Wireless Maritime Services (WMS) to provide a wireless cellular network aboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder.

Subscribers of more than 340 cellular providers worldwide, including Cingular Wireless, Verizon Wireless, AT&T Mobility, Sprint, T-Mobile and Alltel, are supported on the network. Those guests who still look for a cruise vacation as a way to escape need not worry -- service is available only in guest staterooms.

Guests who choose to use the network are billed by their cell phone provider and rates will vary according to the carrier's plan. The ship's network is enabled while the ship is at sea, allowing guests to make and receive phone calls as well as utilize text messaging, email and other cellular services. While in port, the network is disabled, allowing guests the ability to access local cell phone providers.

I called an "old" friend tonight....I met her through Johnny when I first moved here. She played co-ed softball with Johnny and against him - --- miss her....her kids, whom I met as youngin's are now 19 and 17!! WOW~!

Holly is trying to get me on a 3 day cruise when shes down, laid awake trying to think how to swing it, shes such a bad influence!!

Looks like im going to San Jose Nov 2-5 to help a friend teach.Anyone up for a mini meet there? Hate going there sometimes I end up stuck in the Holiday Inn at night twidling my thumbs with boredom, but I def love the cooler weather!

John and I will be there from 11/22 to 11/25 thanksgiving weekend. We were going to meet one afternoon at the Greek bakery. Are we still up for that? Let me know if you change your plans and do a cruise with Holly. I say go for it! I would. Or if not, then I can meet you and Holly at the Greek bakery. Let me know as your plans firm up.

YEA! I got a good report today...we are finally making some progress....they cultured it and the infection is gone and the wound area is getting smaller and healing. They said they're going to try to have me in the pool by the time I do my Oct cruise. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely! We'll be getting there Sat. the 24th and hop on the mini-cruise on the 29th. Maybe we can all meet at WDW on the 25th.

We're not getting there until 11/24, but maybe we can do the bakery 11/25.

I promised Tyler WDW & Sea World (one day of each) and Heather's crew wants to do Busch Gardens, but I do want to meet you & John too! AND Marilyn & her John after she arrives. AND V & her crew can just join for all mini-meets since she's in driving distance!

Well, Marilyn can't do the 25th because she & John are arriving quite late and will be exhausted after traveling so long. But maybe the rest of us can do WDW on the 25th and Heather & I can meet Marilyn & John Mon, Tues, or Wed. And V & her family can come both days!

I want to meet everybody, but it's too confusing to figure out.

Had a fun time out with co-workers. Off to do homework now. Back later during study breaks. I'm pathetic and take one about every 1/2 hour!
