Wonder if Holly is doing OK today? Hope everything goes good for you!

I also hope that Holly was able to get the counselor information and was able to attend the conference. Hope she will able to get on later today and post!!

Yes, Holly is in our thoughts and prayers today.
Thanks everybody! :grouphug: Yup, things are looking much better today! I got a phone call from Tyler's pediatrician telling me they scheduled him for an EEG this Thursday morning just to rule some things out. Since that's one of his dad's days, I e-mailed him to tell him about the appointment. He was really thrilled about the part where the doc says to try to keep Tyler up for 24 hours before the EEG! When he replied, he told me the news that made my day. He went to his appointment today and told the counsellor about Tyler's issues, showed him the things the school wrote, and the guy told him the behavior is abnormal and that Tyler needs to be evaluated by a psychologist. Umm.....DUH! So I guess he just needed to hear it from a neutral party. He told me to go ahead and schedule whatever's necessary through the neuropsychologist Tyler's pediatrician recommended. Such a huge weight off my shoulders!

Well, sort of. After I took care of all the arrangements with the neurologist, set everything up, I e-mailed him to tell him that they told me they don't participate with his insurance plan and that we'd have to pay up front and try to get reimbursement from the insurance company. So he called the pediatrician and is having them send him a list of places to call and now he wants me to cancel everything and let him set up something that he's sure his insurance will deal with. :headache:

But overall, this is a MAJOR step in the right direction. I might try to convince him to just keep the evaluation appointments I've set up, get Tyler evaluated and diagnosed, then we can take her recommendations and go somewhere that's covered more by his insurance.......I don't know. Still a bit lost and my brain is too mushy from all the stress to think about it more tonight.

Well of course the CAR top!! :lmao: I was :rotfl2: because to John and most of us 70 degrees is put the CAR top down weather, but to Vanessa it is put the winter coat and mittens on, much less put the top down! :rotfl:
You are 100% correct!

Holly, glad to hear Tyler's dad is coming around.

Well - I had a horrible day. Since the email stated, "please let me know if these assignments are correct" I emailed back with the 18 or so that belong to the vacant postion. The girl who is supervisor of that postion promptly replied that I was throwing her under a bus and what the hell was my problem. Yes, she put it all in writing and only sent it to me and my old boss (her boss currently). I went to lunch and composed myself and decided not to respond to her, I am through but I replied to my old boss and copied my new boss and my controller. I said something along the lines that I am doing all I can to help out but I cannot be responsible for the entire fiscal year of accounts I know nothing about and could not understand why, as the supervisor of that postion she doesn't seem to have a clue.
It was much more professional than all that but both my boss and controller were appaled at her email, attitude and behavior. They came to me and apologized and assured me it would be taken care of.

I felt better after that.

Sorry about your day but at least the matter has been taken care of now.
Who does Florida play this week? We are headed down to Baton Rouge Thursday morning. After LSU lost I am sure that we are dead meat this week!

I think you should take the evening off thinking about all of this. Tomorrow you can fight the good fight as you know what you have to do for Tyler. Tell Dad no, this is the route we are going and that is that!!

is John at the game tonight as well?

My John's game was forfeited so he is home and we are watching the game!

I am so glad to hear that your boss and the controller handled the situation. Makes one wonder how long she will remain a supervisor!!!

No, Alex is there with his roommate. John is waiting for Sophia and I to go to bed. We are getting in the way of his "game" watching!

Oh my gosh! How can she still have her job when she acts so unprofessionally?!

he has been wearing it since he bought it!!

Yah Baby!

Ball Game!

Tribe wins 7-3!

Indians up 3-1!

One more game and off to the World Series!

Wahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

OK, I am getting just a bit intense with this, I know . . .

I have been following this team since I was in grade school. I went to my first game in 4th grade at the old stadium. I have suffered through untold years of great expectations with little return, and heartbreak years where we were almost.

I dreamed of having season tickets, and got them 10 years ago.

I just have a feeling that this is the Indians year. Cleveland and our area needs it soooooo much, but we need the ring!

Only the Cubs have a longer dry spell than us!

Go Tribe!

Holly-I'm happy to hear that your ex has his eyes WIDE open now! At least Tyler will get diagnosed properly and he'll soon be on the road to being helped! Think what a relief this will all be for Tyler when it's done. I'm sure he doesn't want to do the things he does and he's probably just as confused as you are about his behavior.

Holly,

Glad to hear your news about Tyler.

Everything that needs to be said has been said by others. Just follow through and your little guy should get the help he needs!

Can't find time to catch up. Think we are over 150 pages behind. The "Grand Canyon" family has taken up almost all my time these past two days. Tragic event, but . . . . . . am biting my tongue. We are still unpacking. Most of the laundry is done, it's all the other stuff.

Most important - an update for those who may have missed:

Oregon Ducks 53

Washington State 7

We were up 40-0 at halftime. Believe we called off the dogs in the second half. Very costly game though. Lost one of our starting receivers to a broken leg and our #2 tailback (who really plays half the time) to a torn ACL. Both are lost for the year. That brings us to 4 starters lost for the year now. Two of them being wide receivers. At least we are back up to #6 in the coaches poll. Could still be a VERY special year - especially if college football continues to have all these upsets.

Will try to post some photo's and cruise reports in the next few days. Believe it or not, they have tweaked some of the shows! Will leave you with my favorite quote from our daughter Jenna during the cruise . . . .

"You guys had Kayla so she could destroy me!"

We think that is pretty funny.

Go Ducks!

Man I hate it when those who want to be in charge don't want to take the heat! Hang in there V!! Her karma will surely come back to bite her in the rear! Just don't let her throw YOU under the bus!:thumbsup2

Loyalty is the second most important quality on my list, just below honesty! Can't blame you for being loyal bro! :thumbsup2 Gotta stick with what you believe in!
