Now that is totally a wrong thing for a father to pass on to his son!!:lmao:

Deb - it really isn't long to your cruise. It's 56 days to ours in early December!

Marilyn, when it gets this close it's hard to contain my excitement and the anticipation is overwhelming and the wait is excruciating!

I especially love Halloween and can't wait to do it on Mickey's ship and at Mickey's house this year.....what fun!

Last year at this time, I was closing on my land at Delaware (I'll spell it out for you West Coasters) and wore a mask and handed out candies.

This year will top that!!!!!

:woohoo: :scared1: :woohoo:

Holly, you're so funny....you can barely get your eyes open and yet here you are DISing....gotta love that addiction!

Loved the haunted house pic of Tyler. Did you have fun? It looked too scary for me!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

John was up at seven then went back to bed....I got up too, but stayed up. Guess I better go make the coffee. Saturday is his day and Sunday is my day to do it. Guess he's waiting to hear it ready before he gets up so I better go get it started.

Enjoy your walk Marilyn, while it's still nice out!

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Tyler was talking this morning about our trip to Florida. He can't wait to go to Disney again! He informed me that we're going on the POC ride, Goofy's Airplane rollercoaster, and to walk through Mickey's house. He asked me if I remember seeing Pluto's doghouse in the backyard and all the stuff in Mickey's garage. ;) Yup, I do, but I'm surprised he does because he was only 3 when he went!

OK....as soon as "Fireman Sam" is done, we're headed out to the Dinosaur Dash and other activities there. :thumbsup2 Have a great day everybody! Marilyn, I hope you have a nice walk before it cools off for the day.

The haunted house was fun. The person selling tickets told me they use a code word when little kids come through. They say "chicken nuggets" and then the "monsters" know to tone it down a bit for little ones. So when it was our turn to go through, she yelled, "Two for dinner, with a chicken nugget!" :rotfl: At the end, one of the monsters followed us out the door and down the sidewalk, which Tyler thought was hilarious!

I stopped putting the teams together as it was getting a bit confusing with some people canceling the cruise. As for as ideas, I know Day 1 has some set ideas, Geek squad is set, May 16 panama canal crossing (my team!) is pretty set on their idea.

Would it help at this point to regroup or should I wait another month or so?

Our group is set for their idea...I think we're the 12th (day two).

I too think we should wait till Feb to regroup.

I daren't think seriously about clothes for our Dec cruise. A basic idea perhaps but I am hoping to be less weight so would need items from my 'thinner' wardrobe, packed away somewhere!!:rotfl:

I'm in the same boat (OK, the boat AFTER yours!). I'm glad this trip is nearly all super casual clothes (think I'll wear the same thing for Narcoossee dinner and Palo dinner). Also glad we'll have a washer and dryer at SSR, since we will be packing 'layers' for the possible chilly FL niights. I fortunately have enough "Disney-wear" to cover the next 35 pounds down.

I have a wardrobe filled with 3 sizes of clothes, including shorts and tees!!! I would have loved to have been in the next size down for December, but I really dream of the smallest by next May!!!:rolleyes1 However if I am so small I will need to buy some more fashionable wear too as it is a few years since I was so small. My excuse is that at my age I won't look good too small.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Did everyone notice that our Acapulco time has changed? We are in port from 12pm until 9:30pm! Much better!

I found out only after another thread about the EB repo and their time! I had even forgotten where the times were! :confused3 Yes, it will be cool to watch us going into Acapulco, and I believe the cliff divers work more in the afternoon/evenings.

Oh no!!!!! I just found out that the flight we booked for my DH out of ACA has been canceled, and it was a cheap price. I have never liked American Airlines - we always have problems with them! If I hadn't checked the flight online, they said they would have let me know 14 days out, thats 3 or 4 days before the cruise. That's my last dealing with them!

Ok, I finally caught up last night and had long multi-quote going and then lost it! So bummed. Anyway, I won't remember everything.

V, sorry about the job. The next good one is right around the corner. Were you making/handling the lanyards? I read that in a post and can't recall. Amy sounds like she has someone at work that can make some beaded ones. A team isn't making it so far.

We keep all our disney stuff (pirate outfits, matching hawaii outfits for the boys, lanyards) all in a box in the attic. I like having it all in one place. The kids forget about their pins, which is good. Otherwise, I'd find pins all over the house.

Noel, how was the wedding? I'm so excited there is snow in Tahoe. We have a trip planned over Thanksgiving and certain clubs within the Tahoe Mountain Club are only open if there is snow. Here is to snow!

Karen, hope you are feeling better. My dad is sick with the flu. Probably going around the East Bay. The flu is awful. If you are still sick, you should be resting!

To all those with trips coming up: I am so jealous but happy for you all! All the DIS meets sound great.:beach:

Happy anniversarys out there! :flower3:

Jackie - I think I got you guys mixed up with Day 1. I remember what you guys are doing - it is great!

Peggy, do you remember which team you joined? I don't have that in my notes.

Ok. Major chores today. Have two suitcases to unpack from my back-to-back San Diego trips. And then Halloween decorations have to go up today!

Came home to take a break after the Dinosaur Dash because of the heat. We both need showers because we're soaked with sweat. Then it's off to the hockey game! :thumbsup2 Might have time to post a few pics first.

Still patiently waiting for word from DU about how to book my mini-cruise.

Some Dinosaur Dash pics.

I think this is smart all around. I think it was Linda, Seaulater, who was putting together a list with everyone that is a part of us. It would be good to have that and then we have an idea how many people will have a fish extender.

I think 12 weeks should be enough time to order most things. So as soon as that final payment is done, we will finalize the teams. :yay: I'm so excited about this trip!

Our big debate right now is whether to do the direct flight from SFO - MCO or do a connecting. For our family of 6, it is a difference of $1600. That seems like a lot. So I think we will do the connecting. Any input? $1600 could buy a lot of DODs!
Lisa

You might want to check SWA if you want to save even more more money. They do fly out of SFO now but we usually go from SJC since either airport is about the same distance. Flights for May will probably be out in November.

Wedding was gorgeous!! Bride was beautiful and setting was fabulous. I am too tired to type more. It was an evening wedding and we were up to all hours.

Snow was just a dusting but according to Squaw Valley website:

Winter made a preview appearance over the last couple days. Wax your boards, we are scheduled to begin winter operations on November 17th.

Glad the wedding went well! :goodvibes

Unbelievable to hear about snow out West. We are at 85 degrees here in OH - very unseasonably warm. We will probably go right from summer to winter.

Browns are getting beat up by the Pats.

I have an employee event tonight, and will probably miss the first three innings of the Indian's game :sad2: .

I know, I'm so excited about my team's gift! :rolleyes1

I don't know if Peg was assigned to a team, I'll ask when I see her today (if SHE remembers)! If not, we could probably use her on the one I'm on, as we lost Clynne.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL weather here yesterday and today. I'm about to get cleaned up and head out in it. I think I shall dine alfresco for lunch! Peg and her DH spent a good chunk of yesterday at the stables playing with their ponies! I must make contact with NotSoLittleMermaid (WHER IS SHE??) and see about heading up to her neck of the woods for some FALL weather.

Is it Angie and Dennis's wedding anniversary this weekend? I'm sure she said it was.
HAPPY 40TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY ANGIE AND DENNIS

This is called a Ruby Wedding over here, is it there?

Yes, yesterday was our anniversary and yes it is Ruby. We did not buy gifts for each other though. We did bring the motorhome over to the Oregon Coast for a couple of nights. When we were heading over we found that our DD and DSIL are also at the coast for the weekend hunting. So, we came to the same campground they are at and are getting to spend some time with them also. We played Yahtzee last night and they came over to our site for brunch and to watch the Seahawk game today. Our TV is getting great reception on Fox for them.
