Angie, we are just heartbroken for you and your family. All our prayers and best wishes for you during this difficult time ahead.

I'm just waiting for Dennis to get home so he can hug me and I can cry. I need that. He should be home any time. He worked until 9 tonight.

I hope he gets home soon. Accept our hugs until then...:grouphug:

Our anniversary is on Oct 6, this coming Saturday. We hope to be tucked away on the Oregon Coast for a couple of nights.

The Northwest dresses pretty casual. I just wore navy blue slacks and top with my favorite Coldwater Creek jacket. Dennis just wore navy slacks and a dress shirt.

Our best friend that came from Idaho took photos, he said he will get the film developed (yep, he is a traditional photographer and still uses film!) and send us a disk. I will have Dennis post a few when it arrives.

Are you leaving Fri night for the coast?

I'm sure you looked beautiful....can't wait to see the pics.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

That's a nice thought and worth considering. Thanks.:) Are you meeting in DTD on the Sunday 25th Nov with some of the others? We are hoping to pop in if we arrive on time, so that is an option.

Yes, do pop in...keep that option open!!!!!

The majority of the stuff we brought out of storage belonged to my parents. I am determined to begin going through it and either using it or donating it to charity. My clutter is going to somewhat end though I do agree there is always clutter.

Much of the furniture we moved into the living room, family room and several of the bedrooms. Now to attack the boxes. They entirely fill our three car garage!! The best part of the declutter is I am going to save $704.00 a month in storage fees or $8448 which will pay for our next cruise!!

I've got a much smaller storage unit, but I'm only paying $100 a month. Wow, what a difference! I didn't keep everything of mom's.....my brother threw out the bulk of her stuff. I can't throw out the things that I did keep. I'll have to go through it, but probably won't until we move to Delaware....probably won't be ready until then.

:hippie: :hippie: :hippie:

Happy Anniversay to all who are celebrating!! How fun!!

My 20th Wedding Anniversary is this Thursday....the 4th of Oct. We went on the MED cruise to celebrate, so we are not going to do anything at all special. I think we decided to go out to lunch...so I won't miss BUNCO on Thursday night!!

I am hoping to finally go to the beach this weekend.

I'm so jealous....I would love to go to the beach this weekend....it's the last time to empty out the house before the open house....gotta get my bro's stuff out.....but I'd rather be at the beach.....I'll be in Cocoa Beach in 23 days.....I'll have to wait until then. I can't wait for five more years when I can go to Bethany Beach every weekend.

Lisa, I'm so glad they restored the beach and brought in more sand.....now it looks like a beach again!

I have not been since before we left for Europe. I miss it so much. Don can't go.....I hope my mom will come, but if not, she can stay home with Don.

It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend.....way above normal...perfect beach weather!!

Nov 1st, my last night at disney :sad1: At least I'll be going home happy;) It's held at epcot and is a little pricey...but oh so worth it, if it is anything like the others I've attended. I have not tried wine from Greece before:confused3 but have heard there are some nice selections available. Last year, there were Peruvian musicians and dancers and a slide show, the ambiance was wonderful.I'm hoping for just as wonderful experience this year. I always want to know ahead of time what the food will be, but you don't know until you're served!

I will be at World on Nov 1st....what time of day does it take place and can you buy tickets at the door?

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Lots to comment on this morning.:)
Not good!! :sad2: Had it on low for 10 hours and much of it was still tough! I think I am going to give up on the thing. Yorkshires were not quite right either which is a disappointment as I could always cook wonderful ones. Tasted ok with the gravy though. :thumbsup2 I will keep trying with those though. Roasties and veggies were lovely!

Marilyn,
Sorry it didn't turn out like you were hoping.I haven't had a crock pot for years. I had one when I was first married, but was afraid to leave it plugged in while I was at work:rolleyes: Kind of defeated the purpose of having one! One day I went to check on my meal and one of the rubber "feet" had melted right down and the counter was hot:scared: I never did get a new one. Of course, I'm sure they are made a lot better and safer today, but I just bring myself to get a new one.

We have gotten bad news here this evening. My brother's wife is not expected to survive the night....without a miracle. She fell over 3 months ago, lay with her leg under her for hours with the circulation cut off. My brother got her up when he got home and by morning the leg was not looking good. They got her to the hospital and she was sent by life flight to Seattle. Her leg eventually had to be amputated, and it seemed she was doing ok except for an infected bed sore on her back. My dear sweet brother was able to stay with her for the first 2 weeks then had to go back to work to pay the bills. He was spending his 2 days off driving the 5 hours to spend some time with her. This afternoon he got a call saying her heart was "doing funny stuff" to quote him, her breathing is labored and her kidneys have been shutting down for the last few days. They have moved her to intensive care again and told him needs to get there ASAP. My niece who was just here visiting this weekend is driving him over and their other children are also on their way. I am just so sad for him. They are the only couple we know that are more devoted to each other than we are. He absolutely adores her. He told me early on that without her there is no reason for him to live. Although I know he will keep going on, I also know he will be lost and I don't know how to help him. All prayers for them will be appreciated.

Then I also got a call that my favorite uncle is at the hospital in Spokane with his wife. She too is in intensive care. They are in their 80's and married only 3 years. They are just so cute and in love. It did not sound like she was in imminent danger, but she does have a blood clot in her groin area. That can be very dangerous, but she is getting treatment to dissolve it. I called and talked with my uncle and he sounded so very tired. My cousin said he was at his door at 5 am this morning with the dog for them to watch. He has over a 3 hour drive from his house to my cousin's so I know he was on the road before 2 am. I told him he needs to get over to the hotel and get some rest and then get a fresh start with the docs in the morning. He said he would do that.....I hope he did. Prayer for them too please.

Angie, Hugs to you in your time of sadness.

Wow...I'm finally caught up(hopefully I didn't skip anything). Just been busy with everything out here...thought I could get caught up tonight since my DH is working late tonight.

Angie-I'm so sorry :grouphug: Your in my thoughts
Nan-:grouphug:  :grouphug:

Happy Anniversary everyone having one(seems to be a lot of you):dance3:

Holly-Sounds like Tyler had a fun trip...growing up I loved road trips we took lots to WDW(2hrs) and to SC and NY from FL and we loved the road trip more than the destination sometimes(not WDW of course)

Jackie-congrats and the winning the challenge. I love the sound of that WDW contest....would love to be on CC now:upsidedow

Monica-loved your pics from your recent Disney trip...lucky you being so close

calmom-that's awesome everything is set for your trip and no more stressing on the star testing:thumbsup2 I hinted to one of my son's teachers that we are taking a trip and I would have to pull my DS out of school the last two weeks of school and actually thinking about the last 3 weeks of school...I just don't want to end up meeting with the truancy officer after our trip so I need to find out how many days he could miss of school:confused:

V- Bummer on the Gator game huh? Have we ever been undefeated? I can't ever remember that and '95 doesn't count because we lost to Nebraska for the national title. Even the two times we were National Champs we were defeated. Don't forget our more than half our team is freshmen and sophmores and this is a rebuilding year...It's hard to remember that having Tebow:goodvibes on our team. Upset Saturday...many teams came down.:confused3 Hang in there with the in-laws...I could relate down to making sure we don't have toilet paper with ridges when she comes:lmao:

Deb-sounds like your legs are feeling better...I'm glad you had a good anniversary...love how you say your vows every year:love:

Nan-love the pic of your DD in Minnie attire...my DD loves Minnie Mouse and keeps asking for her for her birthday...she's going to be Minnie for Halloween this year

Venetia-congrats on the pirate: Again!;)

I had a fun, WET time at Epcot last night....I met my friends near Germany a little bit before 8pm - we walked around....after I bought myself some Mickey Crocs (I've been procrastinating on buying these). My shoes were soaked just walking from Germany to the African Outpost so I bought my Crocs and wore them out of the store.

We walked around a little bit---stopped by the Ireland booth (had to have the frozen Baileys Irish Cream :rotfl: VERY YUMMY!!), and the Argentina booth (wanted some Norton's Malbec). I didn't end up eating anything, but enjoyed those 2 drinks.

We then camped out to watch the show---it was delayed due to the weather, but atleast it wasn't cancelled. I love Illuminations! I love the music. The add on was good too....will try to see if I got any decent pictures tonight when I get home. Got home about 1030pm. A great way to celebrate Epcot's 25th!

Monica, so glad you had such a special evening. I love the pics.

Illuminations is John's favorite....we've seen it at least a dozen times and even have it on a vhs tape at home!

Deb, it's held at the Odyssey at Epcot from 6:30-9:00 and is $150.00 per person. It isn't sold out yet, but I think it might be by the day of the event:confused3 They have name tags made up ahead of time and placecards at the tables. I have really enjoyed the last couple of special dinners I have attended:goodvibes

V.....Nan....Monica....LOVED LOVED LOVED at the pics.

Holly....WELCOME HOME....we missed you!!!!!!!!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

And this just came from my cousin about my uncle and his bride.

I went to the Post Office a bit ago and when I returned Dad was on the porch. Through many sobs and tears I learned that he has been told by the doctor that Irene is soon to pass. Probably in the next 3 to 4 days. She has a disease that kills the feet and hands.

Oh my. This uncle is my very favorite person other than Dennis and my children. I am closer to him than my parents. He was always my hero from the time I was a little girl. They were going to cruise with us year before last, but he had some heart troubles that kept them home. :sad1:

Sorry for the downers tonight.

You're going to need that weekend on the coast with Dennis!

So sorry about the continued sad news in your family. I'll keep you all in my thoughts.

Oh, that's not going to work.....I was hoping it was during the day....I'm meeting Mandy at 4pm and Monica at 7:30pm....you'll have to tell us all about it then....take pics if they let you.

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I am praying for a miracle. God's will often allow for that. It really sounds like this is a case for his intervension.

Thank you for the anniversary wish...can't believe I have been married to this guy for 20 years......:goodvibes :goodvibes

We live in Northern Cal, DL is a quick flight for us, 1 hour.

Our home in Bodega bay is a 1 1/2 hour drive from our house north on the coast.
